Will not load m4v files all of sudden

I was working just fine for monthes now. Creating a Blu ray. Burned a couple disks fine. Then yeaterday worked on a standard def DVD project, completed fine. Now I have gone back to the Blu Ray project and the m4v files wont load.
System is a MAC 10.6

does it matter if I render the preview files in premi�re or not. Does this effect Encore.
It should not matter. But they must be Bluray legal.
I assume by "render" you mean export; is that true? You might also mean "render" and you are dynamic linking.
I assume by "segment," you mean "Premiere sequence"; is that true? You might also mean a segment of a PR sequence (i.e. using only the work area rather than the whole sequence).
I'm having trouble understanding which files you are actually working with.
We need to know whether Encore is working. If it is, it should import an m4v even if it is not legal and Encore is going to re-transcode it. My suggestion to use one of the old files that worked in the past was designed to test that.
It is important to use a new Encore project with a new name.
Another test is to export a short piece from Premiere, use the H.264-Bluray preset and change nothing, create a new Encore project, and import as timeline that m4v.

The operating system is Windows 7. I get error message "there is no email program to perform the requested action". I get same error for local C: drive, jump drive, online firefox or microsoft browser. same problem.
I fixed the problem by un-installing adobe xi and re-downloading adobe x. Its working great. adobe xi may work OK on windows 8. I have a laptop with Windows 8. I will be trying that tomorrow. I will send you a message.

PSE7 will not load a file

I just installed PSE7. When I opened it, the welcome screen appeared. I clicked Edit and the workspace came up, but when I attempted to open a photo file, the cursor kept twitching (it seemed that the hourglass was trying to appear, but immediately switched back to the arrow) and the computer sounded like it was continually trying to activate. I have WIN XP with 2 Ghz but only 768 MB of RAM. I see now that the program calls for 1GB of RAM. Is the low RAM the probable cause of this problem, or does low RAM simply slow down the operation? If it is the problem, I can probably replace a 256 module with a 512 or 1000 to end up with 1024 or 1512.RAM, but I would like to be sure that is the cause before I buy and install more RAM

Thanks John and Barbara. I'm not sure why (there was a quick Update after the problem), but after a second shutdown of the program and a Restart, it seems to be working very well now. Everything opened quite quickly, and it is quicker, I think than my v3. The sputtering, when I tried to open the jpeg before, had gone on for at least 3 or 4 minutes, and I don't remember if the Effects palette was opened.
It's good to know that 768MB will handle my the program. I probably won't use all of the options as my interest is mainly in working with photos.

Firefox will not load despite following all the advice on the support website

I loaded an update from Freemaker Video Converter and now I cannot open Firefox. I have tried reinstalling (copied my profile to the Desktop), unfortunately System Restore has an error, tried reloading an older version, ensured Firefox is approved in the Firewall, tried opening the Profile Manager and it gives the "I'm sorry" error message (sent feedback). I have attempted to edit the registry, but only deleted the obvious entries. When I click on Firefox Windows thinks about it (circle with the mouse) then nothing, doesn't start a process. I have gone through all the support documentation and have run out of options.
Any thoughts?

Firefox will not load pretty much all pages. Also I cannot get any add-ons. I made sure my firewall lets Firefox in. I just loaded it back on this computer, everything was fine before, now its crap.

So I was running Firefox before. and my girlfriend told me to try google chrome out. So after about a month of trying it out, I prefered Firefox, so I loaded it back on, and now I can't open any pages or get access to the add-ons. I liked firefox before but I'm thinkging that its too much of a hastle to have to do this. But if it's fixable please tell me.21q

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I've developed a site using "web Page Make" I put a graphic on a page with a mouse over that morphs the graphic and plays a brief wave. I works with I.E but no go in FF 3.63.I am previewing this off a local networked drive. No problems with other net site with embedded audio do I need a certain add on etc. Can anyone offer some advice. Thanks

I found the solution, I am running windows 7 64 bit os, and I had to down grade the java plug in to 1.4.2_17 and I have to launch the asdm in ie 32 bit it can be ie8 or 9, but it has to be 32 bit. feels good.

Ok this is bizzare!
Thank you for your response, I went throught each and every step without any luck, even got the recovery programme, and painstakingly tried to sift through all that mumbojumbo to find what i needed. finally found the bookmark bit, but it had been fully overwritten :(, so on reading about previous ff versions, found the sqlite thingys, and they were relatively unscathed(partly written over, but saveable apparently TG), saved them to adiff drive, amongst other possibly good folders. Then looked up how to install them, and it said to close FF, and install to profile folder.
So i tried to close FF, and the original problem from a few days ago, where it asked me if 'i was sure i wanted to close this window as it has X tabs open', popped up again. This is where 'open blank page' selection was set, over 'open previous tabs'. Wanting to save that info on how to sort out these friggin files, I reset the Option to 'open previous tabs', and closed FF. After unsucessfully searching for the profile folder on my laptop, i opened FF intending to search online for where i could find said folder.
AND BANG, surprise surprise, the FF I had just closed with only tabs open about finding out what the heck to do, had disappeared, and instead my original saved tabs were up, and my bookmarks are there..... I am gobsmacked! what the heck just happened there???
I have made 3 back up in different folders now, of those friggin bookmarks. I am weary now tho of shutting it all down.... what if its back to the other pages I had with no bookmarks, tomorrow :(

So ummm.....which app is opening up your PDF files?
If you want Preview to open your PDF files, do the following: Highlight your file>File>Get Info>
In the Get Info window, scroll down to "Open with:"
Select the Preview app to open the file.
Click the "Change All..." button if you want to "Use this application to open all documents like this.”

Was a Restore one of the things tried.? [Attach the iPad to your computer and in iTunes click on your device. On the Summary page click on Restore and go through the process. Be sure to click YES to Restore from a previous backup.]

All of a sudden my CDs will not load into my iTunes ...

I just recently noticed that cds will not load into my library, nor will iTunes prompt me to play them when inserted. You can hear the machine plunking along as if trying to read it, then it will automatically eject. What gives? Have not had this problem before...I am running iTunes 9 on a iMac with OS 10.4. thanks.

Itunes will not load all photos

Suddenly, my Ipad 3 will not load all of the photos that are in a folder onto the iPad into an album. I have a folder of 58 images and iTunes recognizes that. When I sync to add the images, itunes loads only 53 of them. I have repeatedly attempted to sync and it keeps loading the 53 images. I took the 5 images from the folder and put them in a new folder and Itunes will not load them. These images are JPEG's and are not any larger of a file than the ones that did load. I have even restored my Ipad and it still only will load the 53 images.
I had this same problem the other day where out of 96 images, it would only load 76. I have plenty of HD space available. I am at my wits end. All software is up to date now and still same issues so not sure what the problem is. I've deleted the iPod Cache folders, have a fresh install of ITunes and still no luck. HELP!

You removed the cache from iPhoto - correct?
