Will not open pages

Pages created in mOuntain lion will not open in 10.6.8 on second computer.

As with many application upgrades, new version's documents can't be opened in old versions of the app. Also as with many application upgrades, there is a downgrade path by way of Exporting to the old format. Pages can downgrade one level, to Pages 4. Pages 3 and earlier formats are not supported via export from Pages 5.

Pages 5.0 and 10.9.
While App Store tells me there is no update avalable to Pages, which it says was installed Nov. 4, its the old Avatar/logo thingo and, as I say, it will not open the Pages docs created on my MacBook, which definiitely does have the new Pages running smoothly.

Pages 4.3 will not open Pages 5.0.1

Documents from my wife's new MacBook Pro with Mavericks and Pages 5.0.1 will not open on my recently purchased iMac with Mountain Lion and Pages 4.3. I really don't want to upgrade my iMac to Mavericks and the newer Pages until some ot the Mavericks bugs are resolved. Any way around this problem?

Safari will not open page

i have a page that will not open in safari but does open on another computer with explorer. i created a domain and forwarded it to an existing site. i cannot get the site to open thru the created domain. the site I'm trying to open is www.TexasEnergyPays.com. the site it's forwarded to www.reyr.igniteinc.biz.
if i type www.TexasEnergyPays.com in the browser, the screen just turns white.
if I type www.reyr.igniteinc.biz in the browser, it works just fine.
any idea on what could be the problem. this is really ticking me off.

on the w3c standards, is that for the website itself or the domain i created? I don't have a problem logging in to the website by typing www.reyr.igniteinc.biz in the browser. the problem is with the domain i created and forwarded to that site. i bought the domain from godaddy.com and used their forwarding service provided. i've tried it in both 301 and 302.

Without more information, it is impossible to tell what the reason for its failure, but the owner means it will not open in Safari on an iOS 7 device, it is not an "iOS 7 problem", it is his problem that the site is not compatible.

i use microsoft outlook for email which requires Windows Messenger to make connection with my MSN account. I was forced to update Messenger. Since updating links in emails to web sites will only open my firefox homepage, and will not open the page the link is for

Why is my mac not opening pages

I wasted last evening trying to open Pages on my MAC. Following the suggestions in these discussions I rebooted, deleated pages, reinstalled pages, removed pages from dock etc... Finally what worked...I emailed myself a pages document and clicked on it to opened it. I think doing that bypassed some problem in the program where it freezes as it first opens. I write this to save others from wasting time.

PC connects to APort extreme but will not open page??

Hi all
In my flat we have three macs and two PCs which all connect to the internet via an Airport Extreme.
All used to work fine, however its only the macs that can load a web page.. the PCs say they are connected to the apple network (excellent signal) but they will not actually load a web page...
could anyone please help...

link did not offer any suggestion that worked.... there is another iphone connected and it works, so there must be an issue with the phone. ISP (comcast) stated everything worked fine on their end.
any othe4r suggestions?

Firefox says MS Hotmail sec cert is not valid and will not open page

I see similar problems but no answers. This issue pertains to Firefox (Light) v 28. I did not have the issue with v 27 and affects Hotmail but not gmail (?). This is what I get when I try to log in:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to login.live.com. Certificate type not approved for application. (Error code: sec_error_inadequate_cert_type)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

DW CS5 will not open pages from local view sidebar

Using the latest DW and having a major issue. Sites are visible through manage sites; all is fine with settings. However, when I open a site to edit, if I try to click on the right side (local view) to open the html pages, DW gives me an error message - for example - "HD/user/site/xxxx.html not found" but if I open the file from the menu, it opens. I can edit but not "put" the file or add to the remote server manually. I thought one of the site's files was corrupt but then I realized it's happening for all my sites (which work fine on my laptop - also running same version of DW). Is one of the DW settings off? Should I reinstall? Has anyone encountered this issue? Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't have CS5 and I've never seen this problem before, but I would start with deleting and then re-creating the site definition.

On many occasions when I click on a link, all I get is a blank page. Sometimes when Firefox does this, there is a button for "Allow"; however, on many occasions there is no "Allow" button, and I cannot see the content. This is particularly troubling when I'm at my banking site, and I can't see important information. I have to go to Windows Explorer to see what I want to see.

I have downloaded many things from a web site not I can not download anything. I get a blank page? Is there anyway to replace this Safari 2.0.4 with a new version of 2.0.4?

Does it work at other websites? If so, then it's a site prob and not a Safari prob.
Reapply of the 10.4.8 Combo Updater sometimes works wonders.
Does it work OK w a different user. You can add a user in System Prefs > Accounts.

HT3384 Template will not open; Pages does not respond when one chooses template other than blank

The Pages template system crashes when I attempt to choose a template other than blank. How do I fix this problem, so that I can successfully choose any template that I desire?

Is it all templates or just a few? It could be a corrupt font or duplicate fonts or an out-dated font. Launch Font Book & validate fonts & check for duplicates.

Pages 3.0.3 will not open in Pages 5.5.2

I just purchased a new iMac and Pages documents (version 3.0.3) will not open in Pages 5.5.2 in my new iMac.

Pages v5 dropped support for Pages '08, and .RTF documents. If you are running Pages '08 v3.0.3 on Yosemite, just export the documents to Word .doc, and these will open in Pages v5.5.2. I have found that a Pages '08, or '09 document uploaded to the zamzar site can also be converted to Word .doc/docx for free. They will send you an email in a few moments of the conversion with a pointer to the Word document to download.
Note. You do not need to sign up on the Zamzar site to upload, convert, and download the converted document. Process just took me under 2 minutes. They will store documents for 1 day.
