My Ipad can not update apps through app store?

The first thing I would suggest is to sign out of your iTunes & App Store account, quit all of your open apps and restart the iPad:
Sign out of your iTunes & App Store account

Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores.
Tap your Apple ID.
Tap Sign Out.
Close all open apps on the iPad
iOS: Force an app to close

Restart and/or Reset the iPad
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Before you sign back into the iTunes store, access a popular website on your iPad to confirm you are not having any issues with your Wi-Fi connection. Follow these steps if you are having issues connectiong to the internet:

Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords.
If you are not having any issues connecting to the internet, sign back in to your iTunes Store Account and check to see if you have any incomplete downloads:

If you still are unable to connect to the iTunes Store, follow these troubleshooting steps:

If there are apps that need to be updated, try updating one app at a time instead of all of them at once. If there is an issue with a particular app, you can delete it and redownload it.

You can use the computer to update apps. I have only just discovered this.
Just go to library, than in the top left corner it will say music, click on that and go down to apps, and sometimes it will have a red banner on the app icons saying update just richt click on that and selcect update.
This only works on the the original computer that you installed the apps on in the first place.
If the first idea doesn't work search up the apps on the iTunes store and it may say update where the purchase sigh usually is.

This is a problem that many users are experiencing now. Apple is working on a fix.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this, because you cant fix it. It is a workaround only.
you can update your apps in iTunes on your computer and sync the, to the iPad as well.

Have you tried deleting the waiting apps and then re downloading? I used to get it all the time on my phone in iOS 7.

My IPad 1 will not update apps. When I attempt to update, it tells me I have no more space available and to manage my storage in settings. In settings it says I have 4.8 out of 5.0 gigs available. So why won't the apps update?

I believe this is the free space you have in iCloud. How much free space on your iPad?

Thanks. I updated my ipod touch but more importantly I had to specifically request to sync my apps. Once I synced my apps from my ibook, TED and other apps are highlighted back to normal. I will use fewer apps less updates to deal with. Computers are quite a pain with all the constant updates to install.

Try a reset:

Two problems. Ipad 2 wil not repond to open mail. Receive Cannot Get Mail error. The Ipad is using IOS 7.0.4.

I received a jpeg via email from an Iphone 4 yesterday and I feel like that was when this issue occurred. In addition, I saved it to my photos. I deleted the email but not the photo that was saved. I have tried shutting down numerous times. Will work for a few minutes then happens all over again. If you account is disabled, you would need to contact Apple at 1-800-275-2273 to speak with account security. They will need to verify your information and then they can enable your account. This is the only way to enable a disabled account

This is on an ipod 4. I have hard booted it, I have checked wi-fi connections, I have download and unloaded new apps, I have checked my apple id and pw, I have synced with the desktop and did updates but that didn't allow them to update on my ipod. HELP and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

FYI I found the resolution to this thru another thread,,,,,,, so for others that are having this issue, go into your settings and reset the clock to a few months out. this allowed my app store to start the updates.
