Will NW04s ABAP preview run on 64bit XP?

Will the downloadable trial version run on 64bit XP?
The specs only mention Win XP Pro but some software is compatible with the 64bit version and others not....

Thanks, that was more or less my suspicion. OTOH systems are usually downward compatible - most 32bit apps run on 64bit systems so it may just work. Many new machines are 64bit these days and I'm planning a little upgrade

CS3 will install, but not run in Windows 7 64bit

I bought a new HP e9220y last weekend. It has an AMD Phenom II Quadcore CPU and 8GB ram running Win7 64bit Home Premium. I installed Illustrator CS3 successfully and all files appear to be in the proper folders and programs are present on the start menu. But when I click on Illustrator or Bridge or anything else it installed, the wait cursor spins for about 10 seconds and then nothing happens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. I've run the MS cleaner utility. I've tried running in compatablility mode for Vista and Xp. No luck.
I tried downloading and installing Illustrator CS4 and it ran fine. No problems. I have a case open with Adobe tech support with all this but the four people I talked to all had no clue. It's been open and pending their reply for 5 days now. I guess they are stumped.
I read somewhere that someone else with my same processor had the exact same problem, but that was a couple months ago and that forum had no resolution.
Does anyone have a clue where I can start to solve this problem? Obviously, d/l'ing CS4 is a solution, but I was really hoping to avoid the added expense. I am already going to have to get a new scanner because mine doesn't like win7.

Turns out this is a system specific problem (AMD Quad Core) and a solution was discovered by someone in another forum. He wrote:
"Apparently the licensing software for adobe hated the amd quad cores, but they released a patch which corrects it. I found someone who did this in a random AMD forum and it works great."

I had to turn off my Trend Micro software to get this patch to run, but it worked!

Will the iMac Intel up Convert to 64Bit when running a 64bit app?

I am running Avid Media Composer 5.5.1 (Latest Version with 64 bit) on iMac 24" Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06GHz with 512 VRAM.
I have OSX 10.6.7.
I read somewhere that OSX Snow Leopard would convert itself to 64 bit when you run a 64 bit app.
Where do I check that?
Or how do I up convert to 64 bit?

Never heard of that. A 32bit Application would run in 32bit mode, and a 64bit App would run as 64bit.
You can check the with the Activity Monitor (Applications -> Utilities) by looking for the entry "Kind" after the Application Name.
The system itself can be checked by
Apple menu -> About This Mac -> More Info... -> Software -> "64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No/Yes"
The iMac here works as an 32bit machine, but running Applications in 64bit.

Can some 1 plz tell me that How can I make my ABAP program run ONLY for 2 times (after it went in production etc)
AND when the program runs for 2 times It then gets hanged/Locked foreever.

write ' I will run only twice bye bye'.

Well, I guess the only full proof way is to create a custom "Z" table which will hold the counter, in your program you would update this table every time the program runs. In this same program before updating the counter, you would retrieve the counter and check if it is = 2, if so, then write a message and RETURN.

ABAP/4 run time error with error code SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY

Dear All,
I've installed SAP R/3 IDES on Oracle on Windows 2003 server.After clicking Log on button , I should be asked to enter client,user and password.But, my system does not display such details.Instead I get ABAP/4 run time error with error code SNAP_NO_NEW_ENTRY that too after a long time.
Can you please address what is the reason for this problem and how to over ride it?

Hi,
the most probable reason is an archiver stuck. Backup the archived redo log files and delete them afterwards.
The database will archive some more logs after this. Handle them in the same manor. For complete explanation search for brtools.

Error starting the Config Tool with NW04s Sneak Preview

All...
I am running the Java NW04s Sneak Preview (SP9).
When I try to start the config tool, I get the following error on the dos session
<b>The system cannot find the path specified.
Program terminated abnormally
Press any key to continue...</b>
I realize that this is probably a very simple problem to fix... so can anyone tell me how?
Also... when I log on to the Visual Administrator or the NetWeaver Administrator, I cannot edit any parameters. I have tried logging in as "Administrator" and as "admin". Is the Sneak Preview locked out, or am I doing something wrong?

I did check the bat file, and it says:

[solved]will installing multilib package change my 64bit installation?

maybe the question is a bit dump, but currently I am running an 64bit version of arch. For running steam I need the multilib. Will installing that package make other applications run in 32bit mode and making slower the system or the multilib will only work for compatibility with just the applications that are not 64 bit.

You didn't stop reading at the word "system," did you? Those are just instructions on uninstalling any 32-bit packages you chose to install. You might want to read up a bit on the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit binaries and architectures; the two can't effect each other. The reason Steam is in [multilib] is that the client is a 32-bit application, and nearly all PC games are developed for 32-bit architecture, because the majority of PCs in the world are running 32-bit installations of Windows. If you want to play any game developed by a for-profit enterprise (and some that aren't, e.g. Dwarf Fortress), you'll almost certainly need [multilib] enabled.

Based upon your assertion that "ReadOutLoud.api" is part of the "typical" Adobe Reader installation, I searched for and found how to activate and use it (from the "View" menu). It couldn't be more simple - most operations like this are "really very easy" the *second and subsequent times* that you perform them. :-)))

Does the Developer Workplace also run on 64bit systems?

I know that this is not a supported platform, it seems that the developer studio is inly supported on XP 32bit. But I like to make full use of my 4GB RAM and therefore install the whole NW CE 7.1 environment including JEE server and development studio on a 64bit system (Linux or Windows Server 2003). Does this work or won't it even install?
Did anyone try this before? Will there be a new version in the near future that is supported to run on 64bit systems?

thanks for your reply. At least there is some hope now that it will run on 64 bit but from the various OSS notes I still do not get a clear picture. The notes you explicitly mentioned seem to be rather old. Now I found note 953763, which says:
Supported Operating Systems for Development Systems
If you want to install a SAP NetWeaver CE development system, the following operating systems are supported:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 (or higher) (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server SP1 (or higher) (64-bit)
From that note I guess that also the installation of NetWeaver Developer Studio will work on Windows Server 2003 64-bit.

If I buy a iPhone 5 at the store, will it still be running iOS 6 or 7?

It is unlikely that you will find an iPhone 5 in any store for sale.
The iPhone 5 has not been available for sale since November of 2013 when the 5S and 5C were replaced.
The only way to acquire an iPhone 5 at this point is via the used/refurbished market. Unless you buy a used iPhone that was never upgraded, you will not find one running iOS6.

Will Apple Genius Bar run Diagnostic tests on my computer or do I need to set up a special appointment?

I got my Mac OSX with Lion about 9 months ago. Two months after I bought it, it crashed. Apple gave no direct explanation and ended up wiping the computer. Two months after that it happended again. That time they gave me a knew hard drive but they still didn't give me an explanation. Then recenty it crashed (kernal panicked) after I downloaded the thunderbolt application. That time apple was able to restore everything.
Unfortunately, my computer is now showing many of the same symptoms (slow loading, safari freezing, applications needing to be forced quit...etc) as it did before it crashed the first two times. I should mention that when I say "crashed" I mean my computer wouldn't turn on again. Now I am afraid to turn my computer off or even let it go to sleep. I know this isn't good for it but I don't know what else to do.
So my question is, will Apple Genius Bar run some diagnostic tests for me or give me a special lesson? Or do I need to pay for a special lesson? I just want a trained person to run some diagnostics and go through the basics of updating, shutting down, and restarting my computer with me. That way if anything goes wrong they see it first hand.
One more thing, could it be something I am doing. I have downloaded Flash Player but only from the Flash website. But I have heard Flash/Mac problems. Or is there anything else I could be doing or downloading?

Thank you for providing so much information about what is going on. It sounds like you have setup iTunes to save new content to your new external hard drive in iTunes>Preferences, but it sounds like iTunes is not opening iTunes Library.itl file on the new external drive. You have one last step to take to have iTunes point to your new external hard drive rather than your old one:
Steps to create or choose a different iTunes Library file
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
You should see the following screen:
Additional information
If you do not see the screen above, then you did not hold the correct key at the correct time. You may want to try again. Note that if you pinned iTunes to the Start menu programs, and open it that way, it may not work.
Once you select "Choose Library," you will need to navigate to the iTunes Library.itl file on your new external drive.

SkiJumptoes is right. 4GB is not enough to comfortably run Logic X.
Your Mac Mini will need DDR3 SODIMM RAM. That website seems incredibly steep though. I guess that's the price of finding it for you. You're better off going to any below:

I have seen this issue occur with users who have this registry setting missing or have improper permissions.
When you double click the attachment to launch the pdf it is saved and opened from the temporary folder unless saved specifically to a location.
If you dont have the below mentioned registry key or improper permissions then attachments fail to open.
Please heck if the following reg key exists:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security
Value Name: OutlookSecureTempFolder
If the value exists, and if the value contains a valid path, Outlook 2010 uses that location for its temporary files.
If the registry value does not exist, or if the value points to an invalid location, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2003 creates a new subdirectory under the Temporary Internet Files directory and then puts the temporary file in the new subdirectory. The name of the new subdirectory is unknown and is randomly generated, depending on your version of Outlook.
