Will oracle release OAS 4082 for Linux ?
We need to move our OAS to Linux in order to cut costs and provide better scalability.
We also need to use SSL.
There are no DOMESTIC version of OAS 4081 for Linux available.
The US Govt lifted encryption export restriction and OAS 4082 (at least on solaris) comes standard with SSL 128 bits.
When will it be available on LINUX ?
Linux support will begin with the next major release of iAS. i.e. 7.x

You are missing some required Linux files. When you install
Linux, pick the 'everything' option, then weed out the obvious
things you don't want (like the Serbian How-To's, etc.)
I say this because I ran into the exact same thing this past
weekend after picking and choosing which packages to install for
Linux. After re-installing with the 'everything' option, the
Oracle install went swimmingly. I wish I could tell you which
package in particular you are missing, but I never figured that
out.

Oracle Ebusiness Suite Release 12.1 for Linux
Hi,
I have installed a Fresh Instance of Oracle Ebusiness Suite Release 12.1.1.
Installation using rapidwiz was completed without any issue and I could login as sysadmin to the portal http://ora12.mycom.com:8000
When I restarted the System, the portal gave error. So I checked the processes, and found that none of the processes were started.
I feel that there must be some post installation tasks. But the documentation does not mention any thing for Auto Start at system boot.
Can some one point me to the task list?
Thanks in AdvanceI have installed a Fresh Instance of Oracle Ebusiness Suite Release 12.1.1.What is the OS?
When I restarted the System, the portal gave error. So I checked the processes, and found that none of the processes were started.Did you start the services using adstrtal.sh script? Please issue "adopmnctl.sh status" command to confirm -- http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B53825_08/current/acrobat/121admp.pdf (Page 1-23, Starting and Stopping Application Tier Services).
I feel that there must be some post installation tasks. But the documentation does not mention any thing for Auto Start at system boot.
Can some one point me to the task list?No additional steps are required for starting the services and you will have to start it manually after rebooting the server.
Please make sure you have completed all the steps in the installation docs.
