Will Pages 5 support gutters anytime soon?

I absolutely loved Pages 09 and so far I've been fairly pleased with 5.x.  However, I'm an independently published author and I really, really need to be able to set gutters on my manuscripts. I've read in many places that this feature (among plenty of others) is no longer in Pages in the latest version. Is there any intention to put that feature back in place? I've really come to depend upon Pages and don't relish the thought that I might have to find another tool.

Unfortunately my hard drive burned out entirely. I keep my important documents (all my writing, for example) backed up on iCloud and DropBox, but the apps themselves are all MIA now. I found a like to reinstall 09 so I guess I'm going to go down that road for now and keep an eye on 5.x to see if they add back these critical features (yes, facing pages is one for me as well, picas)

  • Will iTunes add other shows anytime soon?

While I love Desperate Housewives, do any of you know or think that other network/cable shows will be available on iTunes anytime in the near future?
I love the no commerials aspect, and I'd love to download older shows like Fresh Prince or Saved by the Bell. I hope they expand it.

Only Apple knows what the future holds for additional iTunes content, so it's going to be difficult to get a solid answer on these forums... especially since speculation is not allowed.
I would have to imagine that since the current selection has proven to be quite successful that its only a matter of time before its expanded. When and what is anyone's guess.

  • Firefox will not run a WebEx Meeting even though Java Script is Enabled! I am on 4.0, is this a beta version of FireFox? Are you going to Support Java anytime soon?

I am getting the following error after going in and setting up a WebEx meeting. I will not be able to use FireFox unless you get the ability to enable Java:
    "Java Not Enabled
Meeting Center cannot be installed because Java is disabled in your Web browser. Please enable Java in your browser, and then click Set Up again. For instructions on enabling Java, refer to your browser's online help.
If Java cannot be enabled for any reason, you can download the manual installer and install it from your desktop by double-clicking the installer icon."
I enabled Java, added WebEx to all secure sites and performed every possible check known to man. This is on your end FireFox.
Do you have an ETA when 4.0 will support Java?

I will not pretend to know any answers to your problems, but I do wonder if you realise Firefox did decide to produce and support an Extended Stability Release, unfortunately this is NOT going to be based on Firefox 3.6. but on Firefox 10.

  • My Mac OS X version is 10.6.8. I'd like to download Pages, but my computer cannot support its latest version. As I don't intend to upgrade my computer anytime soon, is it possible to buy an older (and compatible) version of Pages anywhere?

    Holvi,
You will probably be able to find the iWork'09 DVD at Amazon or similar online vendor. Install from the DVD and immediately run Software Update to get to the latest version.
The Terms of Use here dictate that we test our suggestions before posting, but obviously I'm not going to try this myself, so there's an element of risk, but it seems your only option. It has worked for users in the past, but you never know how OS upgrades can change such things. If you go this route, please post back with your results.
    Good luck,
    Jerry

  • Will there be a HBO Go app for the Apple TV anytime soon?

Will there be a HBO Go app for the 3rd generation Apple TV anytime soon? I am not talking about Airplay or iPad/iPhone mirroring. I am talking about a little box icon in the Apple TV menu like Netflix or Youtube... but for HBO Go.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
No one here will know that answer, this community is made up of users only.

  • Png support in LR anytime soon?

Is support for png files (reading) planned anytime soon? Typically I use the png format to save files from my scanner. I have quite a bunch of them and it would be great if I could handle them in LR!
    klaus

We can only hope so, since we have figured out how to use PNGs as TPIs to do Copyright and Frame overlays as Id Plates, not to mention End Panel images. It would be nice to catalogue them from with in LR.
    See
LR Extras Downloads for more on such PNG use.

    Hi Parker,
Some friendly advice.. if you're just after points, or if you actually ask for them, perhaps you're looking at the purpose of these boards incorrectly. The boards are here to help fellow users of Apple products. The points are a nice reward, but they are optional. Mellow out and accept that you won't get points for every answer.
In this specific case, your first response was quite accurate and helpful, but the rest, in my opinion, were incorrect and based on insufficient knowledge of the subject. Additionally, in speculating about future Apple hardware releases, you may have actually breached the terms and conditions of use for these boards.
Just something to keep an eye on.

  • Vista 64 bit support anytime soon?

iTunes functions fine on 64 bit Vista, except that the Burn Engine isn't compatible. I'm greeted by the message "itunes was not installed properly, if you want to import or burn CD's you need to reinstall itunes" every time I start iTunes.
I was just curious if anyone knew if apple was going to throw some support behind Vista x64 anytime soon...?

camoracer's onto it. Here's a link through to the GEAR drivers. Note that there are two different versions of the 64-bit drivers. Be sure to get the one that matches your hardware:

  • Will the LG Lucid get Jelly Bean anytime soon?

I want to know, is the LG lucid going to get the newest version of Android anytime soon. LG tells me to go to Verizon to answer this question.

Agreed. So much for customer satisfaction. The shareholders come first.
It has NOTHING to do with shareholders.
Verizon does not develop and manufacturer the device.  LG does...  It's their job to update their phones, and submit an update for testing.  If LG doesn't you will not get an update.  Same goes for ANY manufacturer out there.
Verizon doesn't care if you get updated or not.  They make money off the services the provide.  They don't care if you are on 2.3.6, 4.0, 4.1.1 and such.  LG makes money from the sale of the device, and the Lucid probably didn't sell well enough for LG to make an attempt to update the device.
Actually it's selling quite well. And while my little area means nothing in the grand scheme it's actually one of the most popular phones being bought at the local Verizon store. And it's certainly the most popular budget phone.
I have this phone and I'm fine with it. I'm not sure what the difference is between Gingerbread 2.3.6 and ICS but I'm fine with the current OS. Probably my main beefs are the app layout choices and I hate the talk bubble in messaging. And yes I realize I can get a 3rd party app for messaging but I shouldn't need to. My old phone was an LG Ally and I liked the simpler messaging layout.

  • Will iOS 5 support more than 11 home screen pages ?? Because folders made my phone slower

Will iOS 5 support more than 11 home screen pages ??
Hope to see that in the new iOS

As we're all users like you, we have no more way of knowing the features than you.  All we know is what's been released thus far on Apple's website.

  • When I open 1 site - firefox opens all my old sites. I have told it to open a blank page on startup but as soon as I go to favorites - it loads a bunch.

I have firfow set to open a blank page which works. As soon as I click on one of my favorites - it opens a bunch of old websites. If I can't get this fixed soon, I will go back to Explorer.

I'm not sure what you are doing when this happens.
Does this happen when you click a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar
Did you check the home page setting?
If bookmarks aren't working properly then it is possible that there is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • New feature phones anytime soon?

Are there going to be any new feature phones anytime soon? I haven't seen any that I like, and am just wondering if there will be any new ones in the near future. Most of the ones sold now are absolutely worthless and the rest (theres only 1 or 2 of them) don't really line up with my tastes and I'd be better off keeping my old phone then get a new phone that will fall apart in a few months or getting one I don't want.
And please don't just give me the link to the feature phones , I'm completely capable of looking there myself and also please don't tell me to sign up for updates, as I'd rather be told by an actual person than being sent a generic email that doesn't really give me the information I'm asking for.
I'm just curious if anybody has any information about new feature phones coming out this summer. I'd like a phone with at least some of the capabilities of a smartphone, or at least a phone that looks nice and works well, but I'm unable to have a data plan since all my money is going towards a college bill and my parents are in control of my phone bill.

Appearently new phones running MP Brew are in the works but I don't suspect they will be out until late this year.  This question has been posted more than a few times and Verizon is unwilling to give an answer.  The fact that no one is previewing a phone should also be telling as to when the new phones will ship.

  • Does anyone know when Apple will begin to support Nikon's flagship NEFs files, the RAW files generated by the D4s and the D810?

At the time of writing, Aperture, Finder and Preview all report the NEFs files from the D4s and the D810 as unreadable.  I've got to use Adobe's PhotoShop, Lightroom or Camera Raw to do post-production.  I can't even see thumbnails in Finder.  Has anyone heard of Apple addressing this, and a timeframe?  Will the new replacement program for Aperture be able to work with them?

What's even crazier, is when you go to this page: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#aperture the 5.06 one is missing, the 5.07 one downloads a file with 507 in the title, but when try to install it, it says that answer one is already installed.

  • Currently running Snow Leopard with iWeb will Mountain Lion support it?

Currently running Snow Leopard but wish to upgrade to Mountain Lian to support new iphone etc. Only problem being that I've just set up a small online page using iweb through an ftp server. will Mountain Lion support any changes that I make to my pages and can it then publish trhough the outside server?

iWeb is supported in Mountain Lion. That said you need not upgrade to ML to support new iPhone 5. What OS are you using? All you need is iTunes 11.
