Will Parallels Desktop 9 work with MacOS 10.8.5?

I have just updated a co-worker's MacBook Pro in our area to Mac OS 10.8.5. They were on 10.7.4 before. Their current version of Parallels Desktop will not run on 10.8.5 (the icon in Dock is crossed out.) I see that the just-released Parallels Desktop 9 will work with 10.8.4, but does anyone know if it will also work with 10.8.5?

A Mac computer with:
An Intel Core 2 Duo processor or better
At least 2GB of RAM (4GB recommended to run Windows 7)
At least 700 MB of space available on the boot volume (the volume that has Mac OS X) for Parallels Desktop installation
Enough free disk space for each virtual machine and its applications (at least 15 GB for each installation of Windows)
OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or later, OS X Lion 10.7.4 or later, or Mac OS X Snow Leopard v10.6.8 or later. To identify your computer's processor, memory, and Mac OS X version, choose Apple menu > About This Mac.
Internet connection required for product activation, select features, and online updates.

Talk to NOVA Development providing your license no. They will respond. If this would have happened to me I'd check permission errors. If none, I would use the DMG file for paralllels, uninstall and reinstall from scratch.

Latest build (6.0.12094) works fine with Lion. V4&5 do not work. If you upgrade to V6 now you get a free upgrade to V7 (according to the Parallels site). V7 is coming soon or now if you are a registered V6 user.

Some one please clear this up for me, it could be answered in the simplestterms from the English Language of course.
I've recently purchased the Linksys WRT160N however after purchase "of course"I manage to find reviews stating that the router will not work with the WindowsVista Premium, or windows Vista for that matter.
E.g.(Comments like These 'which are not my own')----------

It should work with vista without any issues if you are running any software on the computers (64 bit) from linksys it may not work but if you will connect that computer with an ethernet to the router it should work fine.

My wife has an older MacBook Air (circa late 2009) with one USB 2.0 port and one Mini Display port. Will the Cinema display work with this model Air?

It looks to me like the cinema display is a DVI connection. If you have a MiniDisplay port to DVI adapter that connected the MBpro to the display then you have everything you need. (plus a DVI cable). The MDP adapter plugs into the Thunderbolt port of the MBair.

Office 2001 will not work with Lion. That is a Power PC App which is no longer supprted in Lion. You should upgrade to Office 2011, Apple iWork, or Open Office.

Sounds just like what was happening with my Alum MB. I took it in and they replaced my battery. It seems to be ok now. I don't know what it is, but my battery was fine before 10.5.6 and the same timeframe of the firmware updates when they came out.
My battery health was jumping around but was fine before all of this happened. Unfortunately at 381 cycles I don't think you have much chance of getting the battery for free. Perhaps you can complain about the battery saying it was fine until 10.5.6 or whatever. Not sure when your computer was made, but perhaps you are eligible for this program: http://www.apple.com/support/macbook_macbookpro/batteryupdate/

Depends on what e-mail client you're using. I believe that for W8 you need to install the Windows 7 version of Windows Live Mail.

PSE6 would install and work on windows 7 fine. There might be some issues where application interacts with OS, so you can expect some issues in OS dialog boxes that are opened in application like import dialog box.
