Does the new IOS 8 and instagram only allow pictures taken with the phone? as I can still choose from those, just not the ones I upload/save.
I don't know about instagram, but apps, that not yet have been upgraded to iOS8 can only access the photos that appear in the "Recently Added" album, because there is no longer a Camera Roll.
As a work-around, try to create an album of the photos you want to share to instagram. For other apps this helped to make photos accesible.

I bought this Data Logger for a specific purpuse to help out with my Search and Rescue volunteer activities, and I really need help with this!!! I am hoping apple will help me!!!

It may be the best source of assistance is the manufacturer of the device. I suspect you will need a specific app for the iPhone to get it to work, but the site is rather ambiguous about that.

What is a raw file?
A raw file is the unprocessed data that was captured by your camera sensor when you took your picture. The only settings on your camera that apply to this file are aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. This means that any effects you may have applied to the file, such as white balance or black and white, may not appear in Lightroom. Your camera will create a JPEG copy of your raw file with all current settings applied and save that within the raw file for use as a thumbnail by most applications. When you first view a raw file in Lightroom, you will see this thumbnail, then Lightroom will read the raw data and create its own thumbnail, which may have a different appearance.
How does Lightroom work with raw camera files?
Lightroom interprets the raw data and makes image information out of it. But every camera has a unique sensor and thus has a unique form of raw file. Even though camera manufactures may use the same file extension each time (e.g. Nikon raw files are always .NEF), each camera model has a different way of storing information. Because of this, we must continually update Lightroom for new cameras. As we add new cameras to the list (over 300 now) we update our published list of supported cameras.

What if I own a previous version of Lightroom?
Supposing you have a camera that came out after the release of a newer version of Lightroom, so that your version of Elements is no longer recieving updates, you have two basic options:
Purchase the latest version of Lightroom that supports your camera.
Use the latest version of the free DNG Converter (for Macintosh or Windows)
You can convert your files to the universaly compatible DNG format (the files will work with any version of the Lightroom). See In depth : Digital Negative (DNG) for more information.

The Develop module of Lightroom includes Lens Correction which can read what lens was used from the metadata. With this information it can pick a profile that will reduce distortion caused by the curvature of the lens. For a list of which lenses are supported by which camera bodies, see this list:

Photoshop CS4 does not recognize raw photos taken with newer cameras. Anyone else have this problem?

Photoshop CS4 will not recognize RAW2 photos taken with my new Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera. This camera is listed in Adobe's 6.2 Camera Raw update for Photoshop CS5 but cannot be loaded in CS4. I paid a lot of money for CS4 and don't want to buy CS5 just because I bought a new camera, but it appears that Adobe no longer updates Camera Raw for CS4 or with newer cameras. When I called the Help Desk to find out if there was some kind of patch I could get to make CS4 compatible with my new camera a gentleman in New Delhi informed me that he couldn't even answer my question until I paid $40 since answering questions about CS4 was a "paid service." I hung up in a rage. Does anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?

Adobe does indeed not update obsolete versions of Camera Raw for new camera types.
And guess what: It’s the camera producers who seem to like to change their raws – so how about spreading some of your indignation their way?
I paid a lot of money for CS4 and don't want to buy CS5 just because I bought a new camera
The upgrade is cheaper than buying the full version.
Anyway, you could try the free DNG Converter which should be able to handle everything the most recent version of Camera Raw can handle.

What camera models work with the camera Kit.

This Camera was not listed as one that works. But I gave it a try anyways and I was able to import pictures just fine from it..
I have the Ipad WIFI + 3G.
Plugged the Camera's USB cable into the camera kit ipad adapter and the Ipad Photo app popped up and let me select the pictures I wanted to inport.
The Camera is a 3 year old Olympus Stylus 720SW Shock and waterproof Digital Camera.

It's a proprietary accessory. The build of iOS is not supported for that device whereas it is supported in the iPad. Similar to why there are certain apps that only work with iPad.

Photos taken with iPhone camera not syncing during sync

I recently switched from the 3G to the iPhone 4 and have experienced some syncing issues which I never had before. For instance, previously, whenever I would sync / backup my phone, a message box would pop up asking if I wished to add new photos on my phone to my computer. If I chose yes, a folder (which was assigned a name according to the date of my backup) would be created on my computer into which all photos that I'd taken since my last backup would automatically be backed up to.
This no longer happens.
I took a lot of video clips at a wedding that I recently attended and I would like to back up the video and photos to my computer so that I can free up the memory on my phone.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get things back to the way they used to be (ie get my phone to auto-backup all new photos from my camera roll to my computer when synced like it used to)?

Have no idea since iTunes doesn't sync off photos from camera roll. (will embed as part of single backup file with rest of settings, but it doesn't sync photos).
Photos in camera roll get synced off by a variety of means. Like the Camera/Scanner wizard that normally by default pops up unless you altered some setting or installed some other photo software that has taken over that default.
You can also just browse to the phone from My Computer as it shows up as a camera (remember, the camera roll is treated differently than rest of device). Then once you browse to it you can just cut and paste files off.

Taking Photo's with the camera and adding as a contact photo

Using my new Palm Pre 2 and took a photo to add as a contact.
The process is simple enough to assign the photo taken to the contact, by lining up within the square and pressing Assign to contact.
However the end result just shows a blurred image of the enlarged photo.
Does anyone know how a picture taken with the camera can be set to view correctly as the contact?
Imported photo's work fine, but that defeats the object, i.e. you see a friend, take their photo but can't add it correctly to your contacts.

That's correct - there is only one camera on the TouchPad, and it was meant for video chatting. The camera app was added by HP as an afterthought when other Homebrew authors started writing their own "Camera" apps.

DNG conversion during photo download via bridge

Hi,
I have CS6 & ACR 8.2 (the latest version I think) but since I've been using CS6, when I download my photo's with Bridge photo downloader, the conversion (that happens at the same time) (from *.CR2) doesn't work anymore. I just keep getting my *.CR2 files.
Can anyone help me ?

Camera kit for newest iPad

I have a cameral kit for my old iPad but now that the port is different I'm wondering if Apple is coming out with a new kit to accommodate the latest iPad with lightning port. Does anyone know? I don't see anything on the Apple site.

There already is a new "Camera Kit" for the Lightning connector.
It is now two products:

Purchased PS Elements 12 will not download via Akamai

I just purchased Photoshop 12 upgrade, installed the Akamain NetSession but it will not download. Keeps saying it can't open the folder, choose another. I have tried old and newly created with no joy. Never had this issue before with other downloads. Running Window 7 with FireFox as a browser (current engeneering level).

Thanks. I figured it out. That info needs to be passed to the help finger talkers. And the link should be removed from the download sight. Took 1.5 hours of waiting for the helpdesk to say wait 24 to 48 hours then try again. Fortunately I tried the Alternate link and it worked like a champ.
Not a good customer service experience. Understatement.
