Will plugging iPhone 5 into iTunes, cancelling sync and hitting restore give me back IOS 6?

I read that that would downgrade and was wondering if it's work or if anyone knows a different way to down grade. I just got this phone and I didn't know how big the changes iOS 7 would bring. Can't stand iOS 7. Some please help me downgrade

You cannot downgrade. Apple has stopped signing iOS 6, so you cannot install it in any device compatible with iOS 7.
Apple will release iOS 7 updates in the future to improve performance and add features, so I recommend you to wait for them.
