Will QuickVPN Client work on Windows 8

Hello,
I have successfully been using the QuickVPN client on WIndows 7 to connect to Cisco WRVS4400N routers. If we upgrade to Windows 8, will we still be able to use the QuickVPN client?

The client cannot be installed, however you can enroll Windows 10 devices using the builitn OMA-DM agent, and enroll them as Mobile Devices, that works, supported, most likely not as Jason pointed out as well..

Forget it - you may get it to work if you have a suitable version of Acrobat. Remember PM was pronounced dead in 2004.
1. PM7 on Win7 or 8 is a disaster waiting to happen.
2. The Postscript driver is now part of the Windows OS.

We currently use an 8i client install to enable ODBC and Oracle Discoverer access to an 8i database.
We need to upgrade the database to 10g, but we may not be able to upgrade the client from 8i.

There is a very good Metalink note about Interoperability Between Different Oracle Versions : 207303.1 - Client / Server / Interoperability Support Between Different Oracle Versions.
Server 10.1 and client 8.1.7 is supported by Oracle ( Supported for customers under Extended Maintenance (EMS) only), if it supported, it should be work.

You need:
Unpacking program e.g. 7-Zip or WinRar
Orca MSI editor
The iCloud setup hack for Windows XP:
Download iCloud Control Panel for Windows- NOTE: old versions and already modified ones that (often) work are still avaliable in my solution: http://42i.co/s/1ii
Open iCloudSetup.exe file with WinRar or 7-Zip and extract.
Navigate to and open the iCloud.msi or iCloud64.msi (for 64bit systems) with Orca.
In the left table select LaunchCondition. Then change in the right table “VersionNT> = 600” to “VersionNT> = 200” and Save.
Run modified iCloud.msi and install.
Run iCloud Control Panel, located in the Windows Control Panel, and set up as you want.
I've had reports that you need to keep the files extracted from the .exe file in the same directory during installaton of the .msi file.

It very well could - you might need to run in compatibility mode though possibly not.
A search of this forum doesn't produce concrete results one way or another, but the table in the following linked page indicates some testing was done and there are no known issues (At least at the time that table was last edited)

Hey Ashwath,
Unfortunately VI Logger doesn't work on Windows XP 64-bit, I actually believe the installer won't even recognize it as a valid operating system is you try to install. If you were to get it to install, it would not be a supported platform nor a supported installation.

Or will there be support for either of those environments? Installer seems to work OK, but client does not report to the Collector.

I've been advised by our Novell Account Manager that support for Windows 7 will not be incorporated into ZAM 7.5, however, the ZAM 10/ZCM 10 client will support Windows 7. I imagine they will take the same stance with Snow Leopard.

The backend oracle database is the same. The Serviced Components Middle Layer is on Windows 2003 and XP Professional SP1. The Clients are tested on the Middle Layer.
It works fine on Windows 2003. On XP the error is:

The problem does not have to do with XP/Windows 2003. It is caused by:

The COM+ transactions are defaulted to serializable. Our application reads a config file to choose the database and then issues the statement above. I know we can set the isolation attribute at the c# serviced component level at compile time. Is there a dynamic way to set the isolation at runtime? Microsofts SQL and Oracle providers do not fail with the SQL statement above.
