Will speedlite 600 ex-rt work off 5d Mark 111 without transmitter

Received conflicting info. can I buy one speedlight 600ex-rt and have it work (flash) with it not being in the shoe of my 5D MIII and without a radio transmitter? example would be a person holding it away from camera for fill flash or to produce light from a different angle.

In answer to your question, no, the flash shouldn't be burned out yet, not even close. Though, if it doesn't fire a test flash then something is wrong. I know there have been reports of some issues with rechargeables. So much so that Canon actually contraindicated them in the labeling. It's nonsense, but still, try fresh alkalines if the test flash isn't working just to be sure.

Firefox goes into work off line mode and will not connect to the internet

Firefox randomly disconnects from the internet. The work off line option is somehow checked and when un- checked Firefox will still not connect. A re-boot of the computer most often solves the problem. This is new and I have not made any changes recently. Running Fox 3.6.3

Yep - CC products only need to "phone home" to the activation server once every thirty days, and aside from that can be used offline with no problems - although you obviously lose the ability to sync with Lr Mobile.

False. The reported brightness issues are very rare. The 30" is one of the best displays ever sold by Apple. Find one for $700-800.

Hi Ive just had the same problem,I was playing a gamy 'my farm' & i put my iphone 4 down to answer door then when i picked it up the iphone was black screen & no power,i did plugin to itunes & the wall plug but nothing,then i held the power & home buttons down for about 6 seconds & the apple logo appeared.I really freaked,its ok right now but im phoning my apple store becoz it had 77% battery so theres something wrong with this iphone 4.

2010 15" MBP will randomly stop charging and shut off

Okay guys I have to say this computer has been absolutely bullet proof. To start I have only noticed this since I have installed mavericks OS. I tend to use my computer with an external monitor most of the time with the laptop still open so I can have dual displays. Well lately ill be right in the middle of something and the computer will completely turn off. I look at the charger (which is still plugged in) and the light is green and even if I press the power button the computer wont turn back on. What I have to do is unplug the power adapter, wait a few seconds then plug it back in. The light turns orange (charging) and the computer turns back on.
Once back on the battery is completely dead. Even though before it turned off it showed it was fully charged. Another thing that is weird is that the cycle count on the battery increases by 2 or 3 whenever this happens. Now im really trying to get to the bottom of this since I know eventually this will happen when I am working on something important and ill lose everything.
Does anyone have any suggestions. Any help of input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Because the retina 15 only has a wifi connection (no ethernet), that's the connection I'm stuck with for the notebook. But on the 27iMac, I did have both ethernet and wifi enabled. When I turned the wifi off on the 27, therer was a brief moment when both computers were showing their counterparts when I tried to make a network connection. BUT, after a few seconds of 'searching', the computer I was trying to connect to disappeared from the Network list.
So I tried the opposite; the retina can only connect thru wifi, so that's a given. I swithched my ethernet off and then enabed the wifi on the 27 and ....same thing: When I try a network connection, there are a few seconds of 'searching', then the ony option I'm left with is share screen, which doesn't work either.
I've read the 'dropped' network is a problem with the retina, but the odd thing is that I never lose my internet connection—that continues to work fine, as does Air Drop—but I can't seem to connect, network-wise.
Any ideas about the dropped network?

Not really.
Technically, with some USB drives (I've had a 50% success rate) you can import photos or videos off the drive - thi those photos or video follow a very strict naming convention.
But you cannot import anything but photos or video and there is zero support to write off the iPad to the flash drive....so while it technically may work, it's so limited to effectively not work.

No special equipment is required. Simply enable the checkbox and after your 1st phone call don't hang up the phone. Subsquent calls will not require the system to dial your line again. If you are set to accept the call automatically, you will hear a beep (or a whisper prompt if created and provisioned). Otherewise, the agent must click accept.

IWork 09 keynote demo will not let me tun it off, what should I do?

I was checking out iWork 06, but my thirty day trial had expired. I skipped 08 and went right to 09 since all three are on my computer, not the paid version, just the come on part. I opened the keynote folder from inside the iWork 09 folder which I found in Applications along with 06 and 08 version. When the demo opens up it goes right to full screen, not just any old full screen, the cursor can not shrink the screen or effect the screen in any way except click on arrows. Keynote will not allow me to log off or shut down my computer. I can start the process of either of those two, when it gets down to the last second keynote page is up on the screen and running it's little demo. I can not see the tool bar to quit keynote from the drop down because the keynote full screen is so full it goes beyond the physical limits of my screen. The keyboard short cuts have no effect on the keynote demo from iWork 09.

me too version 10.8. It would have been nice to know yosemite was going to crap out my primary video editing software! I use this for my video editing for my business video production and it would have been nice to know ahead of time or here's a crazy idea how about the software developers who are making millions off final cut pro sales release a fix BEFORE apple roles out yosemite for free. I don't have time to chase down every blog in the world to see issues etc. The reason I bought a mac is I just need it to work so I can work on my business.
