and I've been forced to restore it back to factory settings cuz itunes did not show me a "restore from backup" option, progress bar still not moving.... it's been another hour....
Well since nobody could really help with my situation, figured I'll write down what happened so it may help a few people in need. My restore freeze problem was solved by removing then reinstalling itunes again since I had an older version of itunes and was unable to update without doing so. The "restore from backup" option came back after the factory setting restore and for some reason the whole process only went smoothly when I tried doing it on another computer. Anyhow everything is back to normal now.

Movies are taking up too much space on my Mac (both purchased and downloaded from our discs to play from computer). I plan on moving them to an external hard drive. Will the movies I purchased from itunes still be in the cloud?
Unless the movie owner removes the movie from the iTunes Store, then the movies will still be in the cloud regardless of where you move the download file. Note, however, that if you manually move the movie file, that will cause iTunes to no longer be able to locate it for playing. If you just want to archive them, though, you can do so without affecting the ability to re-download them from the iTunes Store in the future.

If you put the music on the ipad, then it will use the space.

The computer will not erase the information. Each device will show up in iTunes as a separate device and you can control the information for each device through iTunes.

While the iOS updates aren't designed to erase your information, it is always a good idea to back up your information just in case the process doesn't go too smoothly. Jailbroken phones cannot be discussed in an Apple forum. If you synced your phone with your computer the texts will be in the backup, so if you restore the backup you may get them back, but with a jailbroken phone it's anybody's guess what will happen.

I can not say how much space the index will take? But its always better to create an Index after your table is populated with data. Since you are doing the same it will boost the performance.
2) Choose the proper tablespace for Index. Whether the same tablespace in which your table is or use separate tablespace for Index.

Unless you plan to restore it, if all you are doing is updating the firmware then nothing will be erased from your iPod. Even if it was you just have to reload from iTunes or your back up.

Thank you!It prevents a thief from accessing your software and data, but unless it has iOS 7 installed it will not prevent the thief from erasing and restoring it for his/her own use.
If you have iOS 7 installed even if the thief cracks your passcode, they will need to know your Apple ID and password to use it, otherwise, it's bricked. -

They will be erased. The backup only includes the data (and photos) on the iPad at the time of the backup. To keep your photos permanently, import them to your computer as explained here before deleting them: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.

The iCloud settings for the computer and other devices are in the iCloud preferences in System Preferences. If you open iTunes with your iPhone connected to the computer, select the iPhone under Devices in iTunes' sidebar, then click on the Info tab in iTunes' main window. Look at the various items you see listed. Be sure to check the Mail component for your GMail account because it is not an iCloud mail account. Your Calendar and Contacts components should state that they are being synced by iCloud.
