Will the apple airport express work in pakistan

Im going abroad and wanted to know if tis device will allow me to have Wifi when I am in Pakistan Not sure if I should buy or not.

The express will work.. but you probably cannot select pakistan as location.. therefore the wireless setup might be wrong.. or worse illegal for the region you are travelling to.. having said that.. you can easily enough discover the local regulations and set channels on the wireless manually to conform.
Otherwise they are excellent little travel router.

  • My Iphone will not accept the Apple airport express as the Wi fi network so I can facetime, how do I fix?

My Iphone (I have a 4s and 3G) will not accept the apple airport express as the wi fi network so that I can face time. How do I resolve this?

What are the exact specifications of the wireless network you've created? (If you're not sure, open Airport Utility on your computer and check the Radio Mode in the Wireless tab). Bear in mind:
    - iPhones earlier than the iPhone 4 cannot connect to an "n-only" network - they need b/g compatibility.
    - No iPhone can connect to a 5GHz network (Compatibility mode will also fix this).

  • Will the iphone 6 plus work in pakistan if i buy the unlocked and contract free version from the apple store?

will the iphone 6 plus work in pakistan if i buy the unlocked and contract free version from the apple store? why is t mobile written on top of the button? it is so confusing no one will give me a straight answer on this. if i buy that one, would there be any monthly charges involved or not?

Are you planning on flying to and visiting the US?  That is the only way you are going to get an iPhone from the Apple store because you will not be able to purchase one from the Apple store online and get it sent to Pakistan - it can't be done and Apple online stores will not ship internationally.
You have not got a straight answer to this question because there is none.  The phone has T-Mobile on the top button, because it is a T-Mobile phone and although sold as contract free, but NOT unlocked - notice the difference, it still comes with a T-Mobile sim card.
The phone may or may not work in Paskistan and if you do buy the phone, to ensure that it has the best possible chance of working is to take the T-Mobile sim card out of the phone first and DO NOT activate the phone using the T-Mobile sim.  If you want to use it in Pakistan, then activate it with your local Pakistan sim card and you will not be paying any charges to T-Mobile if you do this.  If you do happen to accidentally activate the phone with the T-Mobile sim card in it, then you will have a contract with them and yes, you will have a monthly bill with T-Mobile and you will need to keep this contract for 40 days, until you can get the phone unlocked by them.
Also note, that if you buy the phone it may not work on 4G networks in Pakistan due to frequency differences and also you will have no warranty cover for the phone in Pakistan - iPhone warranty is NOT international, so country of original purchase, so the US, which means you have to fly back there - no postage accepted.
So basically, the phone should work in Pakistan, but not on the 4G networks and you need to take the T-Mobile sim card out before you activate it and activate it using a local sim card and you will have NO warranty cover for the phone in Pakistan.

  • So does the Apple Airport Express take the place of the "Charter" modem and router we already have in our house?

We purchased the Apple Airport Express and in our home have 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, 1 iPod, 1 MacBook, and two *D* computers and a Brother printer along with Apple TV and a projector.
    1. How do we get them all to mirror the content of the various devices onto the TV or the projector?
    2. Can we now unplug the *Ch* equipment from our cable source and plug in the airport express?
Putting all the pieces together is just a little beyond us at this moment. Maybe it will click with a little help. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you will find that the Airport Express will not work with your router unless it's an Airport Extreme Base Station.
You can do two things with the Airport Express. You can connect it by USB or Ethernet cable to a device like a printer that does not have wireless capability and provide a wireless connection to your router provided the two devices will "talk" to each other.
You can connect it to a Mac to provide audio streaming wirelessly.
You may be able to use it with your projector provided it has its own wireless capability, but I don't know if an Airport Express will stream video. Same for your TV.
In fact for your home I'm not sure the AEX would be of much use except to connect to your Mac in order to stream audio to another wireless device in your home. But only if you can get the AEX to work with your router or replace the router with an AEBS (which you could only do if your current router is a discrete device connected to your Charter cable modem.)

  • HT4262 where is the apple airport express ID located?

just bought an apple airport express.  can anyone tell me where the airport ID can be found?

Unfortunately, Apple no longer prints the Ethernet ID and AirPort IDs on the AirPort Express.
You can locate the IDs by configuring the Express to connect to your network, and then use AirPort Utility to display the information that you need.
You did not provide information on the type of operating system that you are using on your computer, so we cannot provide any more specific information about locating the IDs if you need more help.
If yu are using a Mac, and do not know what version of the operating system you are using, you can find that information by clicking on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the screen, then clicking About This Mac. The OS X Version Number will be displayed. Post back with that info.

  • Will the apple airport extreme back up a windows 2003 server?

will the apple time capsule back up a windows 2003 server?

Yes.. the TC is SMB enabled..
That means it can store files.. there is no backup in the TC.. Time Machine in the Mac has no useful equivalent in the PC.. and Microsoft backup is such rubbish as to be totally worthless. Just buy a backup package that can use network drive.. there are literally hundreds around.. if you are backing up a server.. I do hope you already have some sort of back up regeme.
TC is not fast though.. so you might consider if another type of backup would not work better for you.

  • Will an old Airport Express work with a 4th generation AirPort Extreme?

My Airport Express model A1084 will not seem to work with my 4th generation AirPort Extreme.
I've tried everything I could think of to get it to work.
I am able to set it up(Extend existing network) with a copy of Snow Leopard but although it has a green light and seems to be working, I can't pick up a signal on any of my devices. Everything on iStumbler looks ok to me except the channel on the Airport express is 3 and the Extreme is 149. The Express is on the 2.4 ghz and the Extreme is 5ghz. What should I look for on iStumbler that might give me a clue?
    Thanks,
    Mot

The A1084 does not have a setting to "extend a wireless network", so it cannot be used for that purpose with the newer AirPort Extreme.
The A1084 Express can "join" the wireless network provided by the AirPort Extreme, and be used for AirPlay and to run a remote USB printer, but the Express does not provide any additional wireless signal coverage when it joins a wireless network.
You need the new A1392 version of the Express or the previous version, the A1264 if you want the Express to "extend" a wireless network wirelessly.
The older A1084 Express could be used to provide more wireless coverage if you can permanently connect the Express to the Extreme with a wired Ethernet cable connection.

  • Hello, I just bought the apple Airport Express, and I am suffering from lots of difficulties. It is in the middle of out apartment and from a bedroom, it runs very slow and sometimes doesn't even load. I would like to know what might make it stronger.

Hello, I just bought a Airport Express, and on the first day it has a a weak signal. It is very far from my working space and my apartment has very thick walls that might be blocking the signal. I would like to know if I can do anything to make it stronger or faster. If you know please reply.

You need to move the AirPort Express closer to the bedroom.
You can leave the modem at its current location and purchase a longer Ethernet cable to move the AirPort Express virtually anywhere that you want. The closer that you can locate the AirPort Express to your working space, the better the signal will be.
Standard lengths of Ethernet cables are 6 feet (2 meters), 25 feet (8 meters), and 50 feet (15 meters). Any computer / electronics superstore will have a selection of Ethernet cable from which to choose.

  • Will the Apple Magic Mouse work with my Mac Mini?

    Hi
    I have a mid 2007 Mac mini — the Model 2,1 — running Mac OS X Snow Leopard, 10•6•8
I’m thinking of treating myself to the Apple Magic Mouse, or Trackpad.
Will the Magic Mouse, work with this model and version of the OS … ?
(I’m ALSO told I need to have Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0: how do I go about checking that I do … ?)

I'm not sure about the 2007 mini, but a quick check is to open your system preferences and look for Bluetooth preferences.  If there aren't any, then no magic mouse for you...

  • Will the Apple Camera Connector work with iPhone?

I have an Apple Camera Connector that I have been using with my iPod to store pictures on my iPod until returning home where I download them to my iMac. Will the connector work on iPhone?
My iPhone is on order, so there is no way for me to try it for myself.

Nope, it seems that for the most part, the only things that work are those that tapped into the audio exports. Anything that required the interface of the iPod to change or added a new menu item (including all mics, the FM Remote, etc) doesn't work.

  • Will the new Airport Express bridge to my Xbox and play AirTunes?

I have a dual band AirPort Extreme and would like to purchase an Airport Express for my Xbox.  I'd like to connect the Express to my wifi network and use the Ethernet jack to get my Xbox onto the network.   I'd also like to stream AirTunes to my stereo at the same time.  Is this possible? Thanks!

You might want to keep in mind that you will not have a "true" Ethernet connection here. The quality of the Ethernet connection will only be as good as the speed of the wireless "hop" between the AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express.
In other words, since the Xbox connection depends on wireless, you may as well connect the Xbox using wireless....especially if your wireless signal is greater than normal "n" speeds of 130 Mbps.
Remember, the Ethernet port on the Express is limited to 100 Mbps, so wireless may well be a faster connection than Ethernet to the Xbox.
To realize the advantage of a "true" Ethernet connection to the network, you will need to connect an Ethernet cable from the Xbox to the AirPort Extreme....not the AirPort Express.

  • Will my US Airport Express work in Trinidad?

Will my US Airport work in Trinidad?

The AirPort will run on 100-240 Volts and 50-60 Hz, so it will work virtually anywhere in the world if you have the right AC wall adapter.

  • Will my UK Airport Express work in US?

I'm going on holiday to the US for a month (yay!) and I want to set up wifi in my apartment, which I know comes with a broadband router for wired access.
My question is - if I take my Airport Express and an ethernet cable, and set it up using Airport Utility on my iPad, should my devices be able to connect using wifi?
I can't see why not, but want to check first if there are any wrinkles!
    Thanks.

should my devices be able to connect using wifi?
    Yes

  • Will the Apple Pay feature work on iPhone 5S?

Just curious as to whether the new Apple Pay feature will also apply to the iPhone 5S with iOS8. I doubt it as it's a hardware NFC thing but just thought I'd check with the community.

I just got my 5s and can't upgrade for a while, I can't believe that Apple Pay isn't something they could add to a 5s. I really want it!
Thats's because the 5s lacks the NFC hardware to make it work.
