Will the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio SSD Deck recorder, record files I can use in i-movie11?

Hi guys I am getting ready to upgrade our school video studio from SD (SVHS) to HD. I have found a cool video switcher (ATEM 1) $995.00 from the company (Black Magic) that allows you to use HD consumer cameras with HDMI or SDI outs to produce pro-switching and key results for a good price. However i am a bit stuck on what HD recorder to buy to record the final mix to? that will record in uncompressed and compressed modes that looks cool for another $995.00, but will that SSD recorded footage work when my students import their "switched" footage onto their Macs to edit in i-movie 11? I see that is does allow recording at pro res (an apple codec) but I really would like to get some adivce to see if anyone knows this will work before I buy all the gear, I'm not up on pro res.
I was told I needed a SSD card dock with USB to get the footage into the mac for editing, the unit also states it records in quicktime files. However my 8th graders will be using the footage in i-movie 11 to edit not final cut. I think i-movie will not accept uncompressed video footage. Has anyone out there bought this unit and will it work for my needs? Or if anyone has a better HD recorder that might fit my needs better i would love to know.... Any feedback would be great!
I found another HD recorder from Panasonic the "AG-HMR10 AVCAM memory card portable HD recorder http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/625609-REG/Panasonic_AG_HMR10_AG_HMR10_AVC CAM_Memory_Card.html
it is a AVCHD, and records to mini SD cards but i think it only records to 1080i 60, and again I'm not sure if i-movie will accept that? Help!

I have watched this tutorial and have tried all of the recommended settings. Unfortunately none of these suggestions has helped the problem.
As soon as I try to play back one of the captured files its like it chokes everything up. Even if I close and re-open premiere and drop some DSLR footage in (which works fine as I mentioned above) it exhibits the same behavior. The only way to get the DSLR footage to play correctly is to restart the computer.

Well, I have my XH A1 Canon video camera hooked up to Shuttle Thundbolt as composite and the thunderbolt to my Macbook Pro (Late 2011 - 2.4GHz, i7, 16GB Ram) and FLM 3.2 does not see my camera.
When I hook my same camera up to my Windows i7, 2.8Ghz, 8GB Ram using my "Hauppauge capture card" as composite it can see my camera.
I'm going to try a simple VHS tape deck and see if my macbook pro can see it using the Shuttle Thunderbolt. I'm going to guess and say it won't.
I installed the drivers as well.

No unfortunately it won't open in quicktime either. It does the same thing that Imovie does, separates it into two file folders audio and video, and if i select video it opens to reveal 8 files that cannot be selected. VIDEO_TS.BUP, VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB,VTS_01_0.BUP, VTS_01_0.IFO, VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VB, VTS_01_3.VOB. All of which cannot be opened or selected.
Opening it in Idvd and folllowing your suggestion works and I get a format code of NTSC. Is that the same? Thank you for your time and response.

If you buy an iPhone at the UK or Canadian Apple stores, it should work on the GSM frequencies in both countries. LTE will not work as the LTE channels are different in each country and each iPhone sold in each country is only compatible on LTE channels of that particular country. Other wise it should be fine.
Be aware that only the Apple store (retail or online) sells the unlocked iPhone in the UK. I think the situation is similar in Canada. (It is in the US).

let me fix this a bit. i currently have dsl and a 2wire wireless router, and i currently do not have one or a mac. im getting one for when i start college and this is a must if it will improve my internet. but i now connect wirelessly to the 2wire router. if this is set up, will the current 2wire wireless still be useable?

Likely the Nook charger does not provide enough power to charge the iPod with the screen on. You can try leaving the charger connected overnight (iPod sleeping) and see if it is charged in the morning.

Extending using a wireless connection always results in a performance compromise.
If the Express is going to extend using a wireless connection, then the Express will need to be located about half way between the AirPort Extreme and the general area where you need more wireless coverage. The more that you have line-of-sight between the Extreme and Express, the better the network will operate.
Remember......the Express can only "extend" the quality and signal speed that it receives, so it needs to be located where it can get a very good signal from the Extreme. Although Apple cleverly uses the term "extend", a more accurate term for the Express would be "repeater".
If the Express will extend by connecting to the Extreme using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection......highly recommended for best performance.....then the Express can be located exactly where you need more wireless coverage. There is no signal loss at all through the Ethernet cable, so the Express gets a full speed signal no matter where it might be located.

Apple usually does this for OSX and its great when compared to windows where it doesnt use up all the real estate for viewing applications like websites and pdf files but when it comes to iBooks, it feels like there is no apple touch to it and is limited.
If steve jobs were still alive, i bet there wouldnt be this problem >.>
Please consider this as a real problem for people out there who would like to see 2 pages in landscape mode with pdf files and not just epub files.

If it is second hand, try putting it in recovery mode, and restoring it with itunes on a mac or pc.

With AT&T it's ridiculously easy.
Create backups for each device
Log out of iCloud Apple ID
Erase all content and settings
Power off the devices
Change the SIM
Power on the device
Configure with the appropriate Apple ID
Finally, dial 611 to let AT&T know what iPhone should answer to what number.
