Will the Corsair CX430 Handle the MSI N560GTX-Ti Video Card

The Corsair +12V rail is rated at 28A and 336 Watts.
If this won't handle it, what do I need for the N560GTX-Ti twin frozr II?
What will be the system signs if it cannot handle it?

I upgraded the power supply to a Corsair TX750 with 62 Amps and 744 Watts on the +12V rail, but am still having problems with the video card.  Here are the symptoms:
With the computer turned off through windows there is still a voltage trickle that causes the blue LEDs on the DRAM fans to stay on.  The blue LEDs on the CPU fan also stay on and there is a slight jerk in the fan blades twice every second.  Again the computer is off and this is happening.
If I unplug the power cord then everything goes off.  But if I plug the power cord back in and the computer is still turned off, I get the trickle and same symptoms.
This happens even if I turn the power supply off at its switch on the back of the power suppply.
If I take the MSI video card out the symptoms go away.
This symptom appeared before I ever switched the computer on with the MSI video card.
Also, If I take the MSI video card out and install a PCI-E 16 Radeon video card, there are no symptoms, so the problem does not seem to be in the PCI-E bus or the motherboard.
The video card seems to be functioning otherwise.
Any Suggestions?

There is a Bios update for the MSI GTX670 PE video card but it's for a hybrid card. What is meant by a hybrid card and how do I know if this applies to my video card? Any help would be appreciated in advance. Thank you. I do know that I can't for some reason or another install the Msi Update program for this card. It keeps saying that you have to be the administrator and Iam the administrator on my system. I do not understand.

You can use windows version of it to flash it:

  • Will the MSI KM4M-V fit in a normal ATX case?

Hello all. Just wondering if I could get away with buying a normal size ATX case, and therefore add my own, decent, PSU. All the Micro ATX cases on  Ebuyer come with a crappy 300W PSU or similar.
This is the spec I'm thinking of getting together:
    Crucial 512MB ram PC3200 400FSB
    Maxtor 80GB
    AMD Athlon XP2800+
    500W ATX Ebuyer PSU
All my customer wants it for is to browse the internet and use MS Office. I know the spec is higher than her requirements but I'm hoping to build her something to last for at least 3 years. Will the MSI KM4M-V board bottleneck those components, and so will I be wasting my money?
    Thanks all , Mark.

    Use the attached. TV271MH.301
To flash create a bootable usb stick (https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=165175.0).
Unpack the provided archive (TV271MH.301.rar) and put the included file (TV271MH.301) on that stick.
Rename the vbios files to .rom (e.g. one to 301.rom).
Put the atiflash.exe also included in the archive on the USB stick too. Now boot from the stick.
Type atiflash -p -f -noaper 0 301.rom [ENTER] and let it flash the vbios.

  • Will the MSI Combo drive work w/ non-Intel boards someday?

I found out, after I'd gotten an MSI SATA combo drive for my MSI nVidia chipset motherboard and been using it for a few weeks, that the MSI drive is not supposed to be used with my board.  This would explain the stalling errors I'm getting while trying to burn CD's.  I've got the latest firmware on the CD-ROM, by the way - version 1.20.  The MSI Live Update software only knows about version 1.10.
The product page says it's only supposed to be used with boards that have certain Intel chipsets.  Is this a firmware limitation - in other words, will there be a software fix for this problem someday?  Or should I just get rid of the drive now?

But that just doesn't make sense.  I have a motherboard that is advertised as having "SATA" connectors and a Combo drive that is advertised as being "SATA", and they are made by the same manufacturer, yet they don't work with each other.  Where is the defect?  Is it in the motherboard or is it in the drive?  Surely it is not the SATA spec itself, otherwise the SATA spec is meaningless.
Going by MSI's page for the Combo drive, I would assume the problem is in the drive because they say "only works with Intel xxx, yyy, zzz chipset motherboards".
I just want to know if one or the other will be fixed (in software) someday so that I can use this Combo drive's burning capabilities.  That's all.

  • Will the MSI G4MX440-T 64Mb work with 250W UPS?

Hi guys, this is my system:
    Celeron 1GHz 256kb cache
    Motherboard DFI CA64-TC Rev.A+ AGP4X (AGP2.0,checked with PowerStrip)
    256 MB RAM Pc100
    ACER CD-ROM 54x
    SONY CDRW 48x24x48x
    Quantum Fireball HD
    Sound Blaster PCI 128
3D Prophet 4500 (in a few days it will be MSI G4MX440-T)
    UPS 250W (Brand: LP)
I just ordered the MSI G4MX440-T 64MB (I will have it on Tuesday, not enough money for a G4Ti).
I have read a lot in this (and many other) site about G4s and poor performance with not powerful UPS.
My system, with the 3D Prophet 4500 works just fine.I never encountered instability issues or poor performance.
I read in this site that the combined power of the UPS comes from the below formula:
    {[(3.3V x Amps) + (5V x Amps)]/3} x 2
    My UPS specs are:
    +3.3V =>12A
    +5V    =>25A
So the combined power of my UPS I suppose it should be 114,13W.
I also read that a system with Athlon 1700+ and a G4Ti needs 200W combined power.
My system, which is less demanding from the above, will it have problems with the G4MX440?
I will repeat myself by saying that with the 3D Prophet I don't have a single problem.
I ask for your advice because I am a little nervous for the possibillity that I will encounter problems.
    Thanks for your concern :D

    Hi guys,
    They didn't have the G4MX440-T and I bought the MSI G4MX440 -TD8X.
It works with 4x on my mobo but everything works perfectly fine!
My 250W PSU doesn't suffer at all!Can you imagine that?
I tried playing a few demanding games like Morrowind and Ghost Recon (which come with the MSI box) and the performance is awesome!Even at 1280x1024 the games are running smoothly!
    I run 3DMARK2001SE and I have a score of 4198(1024x768 32bit)!
After hours and hours of playing I didn't have the slightest crash or any other instability!
And with the case closed there wasn't any increse in temperature (CPU 30 C, internal inveronment 21 C).
So, in conclusion there wasn't any problem with the card and the 250W PSU of my system. However thanks for your concern! :D

  • Will the MSI FX5900Ultra NBOX fit in these motherboards?

I am wondering if this video card (NBOX 5900 ultra) will fit in the following motherboards.
    ABIT AI7
    EPOX 4PCA3+
I appreciate any feedback you guys can offer.

How about an IC7-G? The reason I ask is my supplier has only a few mobos to choose from and they dont carry MSI....I would get the MSI board but I can get an awesome deal from my supplier because I did some work for him (about 3/4 of the lowest prices of pricewatch). The mobos that I can get are the Abit IS7, IC7-G, AI7. Epox 4pda and 4pca. Asus P4p800.
The revision 2 epox board has a different heatsink and seems to allow a bit more space than the picture you posted.

  • Will the ATI Radeon 700 AGP card run two Studio 21 Displays?

I just bought a G4 MDD 1.4 GHZ Mac that has what I assume was the stock video card, which appears to be for LCD displays, since the cables from my Apple 21" Studio displays (CRTs) don't match up to it (those are called VGA monitors, right?).
On my present Mac (G4 Quicksilver) I am running both of these 21" Studio Displays, one plugged into the stock AGP card and the other connected to a PCI video card. As I prepare to switch over to my "new" MDD Mac now, I need to figure out how best to run the two monitors with this G4. (I will leave the video cards in the old Quicksilver and give it to a relative who also wants to run two monitors with it).
I notice a new Radeon 7000 AGP card being offered on Ebay which has one VGA port, and they provide an adapter so that the second (DVI) port can also run a VGA monitor. If that card would run both my 21" Studio Displays independently as claimed, it would be the ideal solution, if the performance is adequate.
I do lots of Photoshop(CS2)adjustment of digital camera images and also make video movies with Final Cut Express, iDVD, etc., with both monitors set to 1152 X 870 at 75 Hertz. Would such a card as this one be up to the task with both monitors?
Every time I try to post the link to the Ebay auction for this card, everything in this text box disappears. So I'll just copy and paste the description of the card from the auction: "ATI Radeon 7000 64MB DDR Dual Monitor capable AGP Video Card with VGA, DVI-I, and S-Video Out and a DVI to VGA adapter. The video card has ATI's latest firmware (v226) with the latest ATI Displays support. It does not have any sleep issues. The card is capable of dual true independent/simultaneous monitor support with extended desktop. The adapter allows for dual VGA operation. This model has been tested in a G4 Tower, G4 Cube, and G5 with several versions of OS X including OS 10.4/Tiger. This card is guaranteed to work in any Macintosh G4 Tower, G4 Cube, or G5 Tower with OS 9.2.2 or later that has an available AGP slot."
Sounds good---maybe too good to be true. Any drawbacks to such a setup as this?
    Any advice most appreciated.
    Tom

Thanks for the info Malcolm. I checked out those links you provided, and it appears that buying two adapters for the presently-inistalled video card which would allow it to run two VGA monitors looks like a workable solution, all right. But it would be more expensive than just buying that Radeon AGP card to run both monitors, if the latter would work (that's what I'm still wondering).
Also, I notice that the DVI to VGA adapter sold by Apple has some poor reviews and seems to have glitches. It is reported by several people to be unreliable and seems to turn a lot of displays magenta, and in other cases requires a lot of wiggling or careful positioning to make it work right. Sounds like Apple needs to work on the design.
I appreciate the info, but I'm still favoring the Radeon 700 AGP card if someone can tell me it might work.
As to which card my Mac has in it right now, I can't tell just by looking at it (why don't they put an identifying sticker or something on the things?) and I can't connect any of my VGA displays to it yet to let the Mac report what it has in it, so it's still a mystery.
    Thanks again,
    Tom

  • Will the 30" cinema dual dvi card work in an intel and g5 Machine

I don't want to have to buy this card twice as I currently use a dual G5 machine and plan to upgrade later to a Mac Pro desktop. Please advise!!!

The same graphics card will not work in both machines. But you won't need to upgrade the video card in a Mac Pro, unless you want to. Every Mac Pro graphics card supports dual displays and at least one 30-inch display.

  • How can I know the temperature of my video card

    Dear all,
I have a Crucial Radeon 9800 Pro (128MB) video card in my computer. May I know whether the board contains a sensor that can tell me the temperature of my card?
If there is a sensor, what software can I use to know the temperature?
If there is not a senor, what is the best way to know the temperature of the card?
    Many thanks.

    Kingfisher,
I don’t know if your Radeon 9800 Pro has a built in thermal sensor or not, I’m
responding to “If there is not a sensor, what is the best way to know the
    temperature of your card”.
If you want to monitor your temps on various components i.e. GPUs, CPUs,
RAM, HDDs, PSU, etc, etc, you can use “Comp-U-Nurses”, “Matrix Orbitals”
or  “Digital Doc’s”.  I use them and they all work great, the least expensive
units are the Comp-U-Nurse’s, their around $5.00 to $6.00 U.S.  Many of
the PC aftermarket companies are starting to make more and more thermal
monitoring equipment, I just recently seen one made by Enermax.
Some of the nice features of the Comp-U-Nurses are their cost and you don’t
need the PSU to power them, plus you can monitor your temps on whatever
component you choose, even when your rig is powered off.
All three units come with vary small thermal resistors, and can be mounted
virtually any were you want. I would think this type of thermal monitoring
is more accurate than that of BIOS related programs, because their just like
    using a digital multimeter.
Here are some of the places I believe sell those products:
    Matrix Orbital – http://www.matrixorbital.com
    Comp-U-Nurses – http://www.highspeedpc.com - http://www.Bestbyte.net
    Digital Doc – http://www.newegg.com or http://www.Directron.com or

  • Where is the audio in TV / Video Cards???

    Hello boyz!
I am developing a little framework over jmf to make life easier to java developers who want to use media in their apps.
Now i am developing a Capturer class that is configured with an audio and video device and their capture formats.
To a webcam and the soundcard works fine. I get a datasource from each device, if i have both, i make a merged datasource...
But how works a videocard or tvcard? In the config of my class the video_device and audio_device will be the same, but later, how works the audio? Will i get a only datasource from the device with 2 streams? or how?
    Thanks in advance!
    jcpa1

As for TV capture sound, should be same principle as your webcam or soundcard. In my machine i have a webcam (video_device), a soundcard(audio_device) and a microphone in the webcam.
For the audio, capturemanager only shows: javasound and directsound (i suppose because i am in windows) and both are only for the soundcard, i cant select the microphone of the webcam :-(
So i would like hear the experience of a user who has a tv or video card.
How much easier can jmf get? if you know java, your sure be easily able to pick up jmf.To domine jmf you need to know about media formats, events, concurrency, and networking (if you want to send/receive) and later fight against the poor documentation and bugs of jmf.
So, i suppose if you only need to incorpore simple media tasks in your app you wont to study all previous topics.
    Greetings.

  • Benefits of upgrading the 2008 mac pro video card?

I have the 8800 video card in my 2008 2.8 mac pro and am considering getting the radeon 4870 video card as an upgrade.
Will this card provide any real benefits to my system for things like Photoshop and FCP or is it a waste of money?
Also, might snow leopard make better use of the 4870 card as opposed to the 8800 card in my situation?
    Thanks for any advice.

Give 10.6 a year, along with CS5, and maybe. I wouldn't bet my life on it but ATI does tend to be better written for OpenGL.
The 8800 isn't too shabby in some tests.
    http://www.barefeats.com/nehal06.html
And the 4870 does better in 2009s.
    http://www.barefeats.com/nehal05.html
Where the 2009 8 DIMM / 8-cores can shine is not just more efficient processor, but also more bandwidth to memory, too, which if you think you need more horsepower, do you have hard drives and memory to do so?
