Will the CS5.5 Production Suite Run on Mavericks?

I've looked around the internet for this, and results are hard to find and not really clear. I need to know if the CS5.5 Production Suite will run on OS X 10.9. It's essential that a number of these are compatible, the ones I use the most often:
Illustrator CS 5.1
Photoshop CS 5.1
After Effects CS 5.5
Premiere CS 5.5
Audition CS 5.5
I've heard something that Photoshop can run if the user installs some previous version of Java, but I'm not sure how true that is. Anything else about the specific ones listed above? Anyone get the 5.5 versions to work under Mavericks?
I'm being forced to upgrade to 10.9 because I need to upgrade from Cubase 5 to 7.5- which unfortunately, is not compatible with Snow Leopard (10.6.8), which is what I'm currently running. If I can't run CS5.5, then I guess I'll be forced to spend another 400 bucks on an upgrade to CS6. I'm a student in college, so I can't readily afford that, and I can't afford to lose access to this software either.

If there was a definitive answer to this, you would have found it. Sorry, but you will just have to muddle through. The results are so unclear and even contradictory because everyone's upgrade path is different, they use different Macs and all that... You won't know if it works until you try.

Surely there must be a way for Apple to hear all of the people who live in a country and don't speak that country's language. Why isn't it possible to have at least an international version in English, both for the Apple Store & Itunes store?
We can understand the legal reasoning behind localizing stores and having some products available in one country and not another but Apple can't expect us to have credit cards in a specific country just for the purpose of enjoying Apple Store or Itunes store in English.
I currently live in China, my residential address is in Germany and I'm French... It annoys the **** out of me to have to confirm that I've read Apple's licensing agreement in German, which I hardly speak!

Will not accept cs5.5 product code, running out of trial time

Where did you purchase the software from? Did it come in a box?
The Serial number is on the reverse of the disc case and not on the outside of the box. See http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html

I have a the CS5 creative print suite.

I'm seeing all these webinars about Indesign CS5.5. I have done all of the updates from Adobe's update site and i'm told I'm up to date for my Indesign.
I don't know if this Indesign 5.5 is a free upgrade or if I have to paid for this upgrade to 5.5. Secondly I watched a video about the content viewer and wondering how that works- Plus this new Overlay creator Panel for Indesign Cs5.5. Is this a free down load plugin? I found the overlay creator on the exchange and still having problems installing plug ins.
Also I'm having problems installing plugin for Indesign CS5. I go to the exchange forum and see all these plugins available for Indesign and when I click to install them. They down load and ask to choice the application which i select my Indesign plugin folder but the select button is grayed out. Help.

CS5.5 is NOT a free upgrade and there's no such thing as print suite.
I can only assume you mean one of the Design suites (Premium or Standard).
The DPS plugins are free downloads (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5131) but be aware that the DPS publishing system is anything but free.

Its MS new OS due out 07/ you need 1 G RAM, and a graphic's card with 256 mb, to use its full features.
I just came from several PC vender sites like Alienware

yes it can. I have done it. it runs fine, but I didn't like it. I actually think XP is better. just the look of it isn't too impressive, seems child like. alot of features were copied from OS X. I removed it the next day cause I didn't like it. but nice to say I ran Vista on a mac a year before it even came out. its worth the experience of doing it, I'll say that.
in case you do it, things to do to get it to work"
MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR HD BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING
1. remove the 200MB partition when it asks which partition to install to.(this is what allows Bootcamp to work, once you delete the partition, Bootcamp no longer works should you need to delete it)
2. once installed reinsert the install disk and run system repair to fix a boot error that will come up.
*3. if you do decide to remove it, its a nuisance, you have to back up your mac HD to an external drive, boot from it, use disk utility to format your macbook HD, it will bring back that 200 MB partition for bootcamp. then use Disk utility to restore your macbook HD from the external drive.

Im sure you already know by now but yes. The sims complete collection WILL work on snow leopard. I loved that game so much. I was so p***ed off when i upgraded to lion and it didnt work Happy Siming

Will the new 2TB time capsule run hot like the old one?

Could someone please tell me if the new 2TB time capsule that just came out will run hot like the old version? I have been thinking about getting the time capsule for quite some time, but I am concerning that it will get overheated to the point that all the data stored on it would be lost. I just replaced my old TC with the new one. It took all night to transfer 149gb from my Imac to the new drive by wireless N. I took the old one to work and hooked it up in my office for a back up of a Mac Mini. At home we had 3 Mac's attached to the TC and it was always hot.I even found some sockets from an old socket set to raise it up so air could get under it to help cool it down a little. The new one is just warm with the same computers hooked up. The old one at work is also only warm to the touch with the one Mac hooked to it. I'm very happy with the new one and love the dual band.

Will the Journ.e Touch ever run WinCE Apps?

My colleague has bought the Journ.e Touch 'cause the LK8000 (.it) flight software requires WinCE or similar to run, and the dealer where he bought it told him that this device meets the requirement (runs WinCE 6.0).
Of course the packaging materials were thrown away asap, and I don't have to tell here that this device does not run WinCE applications, for whatever reason.
Is there any way to crash the Toshiba application and access the operating system, or any custom firmware which allows to access WinCE or run applications, or any future plan to 'free' the device from its application restrictions? Any way to make the Journ.e Touch usable?
Many telephones can run the LK8000 software (and have gps onboard), damn, it's so annoying.

Bad English.
Connect tablet with PC via USb.
You find a directory "Opera".
Save the exe. Then copy "Total Comander" (file manager) CE-Version into the directory.
Rename it to original name of opera exe.
Then you can start from Startmenu the filemanager and use wince progs fom sd card.
Its very helpful, because their a many progs in the net.

Come on, you have known about this OS for well over a year, bring out the patch!! I am paying monthly for my subscription which will not work on my Mac, so maybe you should credit my account for 2 months for paying for something that won't work.
And that is not including any of the issues I have had becasue of your pathetic security!

Will Photoshop CS5 run on a n AMD-based laptop?

I have an Intel based desktop PC and want to buy an AMD based laptop.
Will the CS5 photoshop program I have run on both types of processors?
This may be a stupid question to some, but I would like to be sure before I buy.

It's not a stupid question, but lucky for you those times like back in the 1990s where AMD processors were not fully compatible are long past. As long as you have your system running and installed all AMD specific stuff like motherboard drivers and Windows updates, I would not expect issues. I'd be more concerned about compatibility if the new laptop runs Win 8 instead of Win 7... There may be minor issues to overcome.

If I start a thread with an empty run method and then make a call to the object that I started in the thread, will the method call run in the other thread? For example:

Let me give the end-goal of this.
Currently, I have a "main" thread which the user can input commands into, and another thread which occasionally runs in the background. When I want something to run in the background, I just create a new thread. However, I figured it'd be more efficient to have one thread running in the background to do something as opposed to spawning hundreds of new threads to do the same task over and over. If the task happens VERY frequently and what it does is VERY small and quick, then the overhead of thread creation may make this a valid approach. Otherwise, don't overcomplicate it. Since you're new to threads, first get it working where you spawn one thread for each background task. Then move on to thread pooling. Look into ThreadPoolExecutor and related classes.
