Will the dab will be put into new phones like on n...

Will dab will be only available in new phone can't the headsets pick up dab stations so if they can why don't they just issue a new update on phones like on nokia 5230

Old phones will never be able to receive DAB via a software update. The phones do not contain the necessary hardware.
Currently Nokia does not produce any phones with DAB, I don't think any of the major manufacturers have adopted the standard yet.
Also I've yet to see anyone make a small headset with DAB built in that can be powered by phones.
So at the moment if you want DAB you'll need to buy a DAB radio. If you want to use the phone it will either have to be FM or internet radio.

You do not register the phone with the laptop. If you are using the same Apple ID on the new phone as the old, you will have no trouble. Connect the phone and you can restore from a backup of the old phone, or just sync your new phone if it is already set up, with the laptop, managing your content in iTunes.

I see.  If you go to Settings>General>About>Name, that is the current name of your phone.  The backup bearing that name should be the more recent one, and therefore the one you want to keep.  I would delete the other one (presumably the one set up by Best Buy under your real name, assuming you changed it later), then see if that gives you enough space to back up again.
If it still reporting insufficient storage, use this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4847 to try to determine what's taking up all your room.  In them meantime, you can perform a manual backup on your computer so your have a current one while you're troubleshooting this.  To do so, connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left side and select Back Up.

  • HT1766 will "setting up as new phone" erase all information already on that phone?

Will "setting up as new phone" erase all information already on that phone?

Restoring is the process that sets it back to factory settings. Setting up as a new phone means that it will not use any potential backups and will be a clean slate with no data just as the day you first purchased it.

  • Will upgrading to a new OS like Lion or Mountain Lion delete my previous files on my computer? Will I have to back up my files with a hard drive first?

Will upgrading to a new OS like Lion or Mountain Lion delete my previous files on my computer? Will I have to back up my files with a hard drive first?

Upgrades do not delete your personal files in the Home folder. But any installation can go bad, so it would be wise to backup your current system to an external hard drive.
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

The music i've put into an imovie project has stopped working. How do I get it back?

As far as I am aware, I have always used the standard keyboard and texting apps that came with the phone.  There is no swype option on the keyboard any longer. The keyboard is just standard numbers and letters that have to be pressed individually. When I go to settings to try to change anything in swype, it looks as it would if swype were working - it shows all the settings for swype are correct - it just doesn't show up when the keyboard pops up for any apps or function on the phone.
I placed the phone in SafeMode and still not able to use swype.

  • ITunes Match will not work on new phone...

OK my 1st iPhone 5 had some serious battery issues so I had it replaced by Apple.  On the same day I took my new phone to Best Buy to have the Zagg screen protector replaced.  Well they flooded that phone with the solution they use for adherring the protectors and they had to replace that phone.  So I set up two iPhones in one day.  Now my new phone gives me an error when I try to set up iTunes Match on it.  It says I need to wait 90 days until I can associate this phone with another apple ID.  I haven't used it with another Apple ID though.  We have two ID's that we have had since we became mobile me members.  We have one that we used for all our iTunes purchases since we started downloading stuff years ago (an sbcglobal email address) and then the one we use to sync all our stuff with our macs and our iPhones and iPads (an @me.com account).  We have always used two accounts on our phones with no problems one to purchase things and the other to sync our info.  Now all of a sudden I can't sync my iTunes Match stuff because I had to have my phone replaced through no fault of my own.  Any thing I can do or do I now have to wait the time for something I'm paying for (i.e. the iTunes Match service.)

You need to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone using the exact same AppleID as you used to purchase the service from the iTunes Store.

Cannot remember the security answers. Bought a new phone. Plz help! iPhone 5. Want to buy apps and it keeps asking questions I do not remember. How do you reset this?

On your computer or safari on your iOS device navigate to:
              For Canada - https://appleid.apple.com/ca.
              For United States - https://appleid.apple.com/us/.
Click the "Manage your Apple ID" button, and sign in to your iCloud account.  Once in, on the left side select "Password and Security", and this will populate our options on the right side.  You should see an option to reset your security questions.
Also see this article about your "rescue email address" - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312.
If for any reason you can not reset these security questions, or get an error, then you may need to contact Apple directly - http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57.   Explain the issue, and they can get your to a "Account Security" agent, who will be able to verify your identity, and assist in resetting the security questions.

I got a new iphone 6.  When I restore my phone from my icloud backup my most recent photos and messages not restored from icloud backup.  How do I get the most recent backup onto my new phone?

    Hello, Anita.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are wanting to restore your new iPhone 6 from an iPhone 5 backup.  This sounds like the iOS version of your old iPhone 5 may be newer than what was installed on your iPhone 6.  Try going through the steps in the article below.
iOS: Unable to restore from backup of a newer device
I would also check to see the backup dates in iTunes and if the  backup is located on iCloud instead of iTunes.
Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes
    Cheers,
    Jason H.

  • My old phone number is stuck on my ipod touch and I am trying to put my new phone number in but it will give me no place to do it. I have looked up all support reset things made sure my new number was attached to my apple id and still

I have an IPOD Touch and it had my old phone number in it, I have tried absolutely everything listed on the community support that I could find, restoring factoro settings restarting phone logging out of facetime and imessage but it wont allow my to put in a new phone number even though on my apple id there is a phone number it will not correspond with the new number it doesn't give me even an option for a phone number now just email. Can someone please help me THANKS

Where is the phone number on the iPod?
If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

  • Why does Bridge always lose track of the Favorites folders I put into it?

    (Latest version of Bridge)
I haven't used Bridge in a while because of this problem.
When you click on one of your Favorites folders in the panel on the far
left side, the folder comes up with a question mark and it can't find anything!
    Why does this happen?
Even though the original location of the files or folders was never moved or renamed.. Bridge loses track of the folders I put into it?
How do I keep it from doing that?

    Here's the boilerplate text referenced by Omke;
I still advocate Repairing Permissions (with Apple's Disk Utility) before AND after any system update or upgrade, as well as before AND after installing any software that requires an installer that asks for your password.
I have seen software installations go sour because the installer did not find everything as and where it should be.
I have also seen software installations go bad because the installer did not clean up after itself properly and did not leave everything as and where it should be.
This is just my own personal opinion and practice based on my own observations. Others may disagree and that's OK. I can only base my routines and my advice to others on my own experience and conclusion. I don't pretend to know why others believe otherwise.
Repairing Permissions after the fact (i. e. not immediately before and after an install) may NOT help. Try it anyway, though.

Additionally, if your machine does not run 24/7 so that it runs the daily, weekly and monthly Cron Scripts in the middle of the night as intended by Apple, run Cocktail (shareware) as well.
Cron Scripts are maintenance routines designed by Apple to run on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in the middle of the night.
If you don't run them, you WILL run into trouble, sooner rather than later.
Here's an excerpt from the Apple tech doc http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107388
Mac OS X performs background maintenance tasks at certain times if the computer is not in sleep mode. If your computer is shut down or in sleep at the designated times, the maintenance does not occur. In that case, you may want or need to run these manually.
Mac OS X periodically runs background tasks that, in part, remove system files that are no longer needed. This includes purging older information from log files or deleting certain temporary items. These tasks do not run if the computer is shut down or in sleep mode. If the tasks do not run, it is possible that certain log files (such as system.log) may become very large.
    Also, from: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106978
The disk activity generated by find is a normal part of file system maintenance, used for tasks such as removing invisible temporary files that are used by the system. It is scheduled to occur early in the morning at 03:15 everyday, 04:30 on Saturdays, and 05:30 on the first day of each month.
    NOTE:
There have been comments to the effect that Apple "fixed" this in 10.4.2 and later versions of the OS, but I have not been able to verify this to my satisfaction. The reference in the 10.4.2 release notes are far from explicit on this subject.
