Will the internet still work if no 3g network?

I ordered an Ipad 3g verizon and I live in Sun Valley Idaho where there is no 3g coverage. I have a verizon phone and the internet works. So will the Ipad work too? Just not at 3g speeds? I know I can always connect to wi-fi just want to know if it will work without as well.

I have a old blackberry storm (piece of crap) trying to wait for Iphone 5. Don't know how to see what type of connection it is using. It says 1XEV up in the corner of the screen don't know if that means anything.

Please help! I "lost" my iPad at a local store. The GPS on my phone shows the iPad is still in the store (over 24 hours.) I've searched every square inch of the store and cannot find it. I fear it may have been "stashed" by an employee. The police need a serial number for a report. How do I get that? Will I still be able to locate it via GPS after the battery dies?

Did you register it with Apple? If not, you would have had to write it down. Once the device goes out of wifi or if the thief turns wifi off...its gone. All they have to do is restore it as new, you wont be able to detect it again. Sounds bleak I know but its hard to get it back once its gone...no matter what Apple says.
I really hope it turns up...I hate thiefs. Best of luck.

Yes you can use GPS on a boat. You must download the charts of the area you will be sailing in to your iPad before leaving. Keep in mind that the iPad is very hard to view in bright sunlight.
Of course my response assumes you have the correct iPad model that has the GPS hardware. The wifi-only iPad does not contain GPS hardware.

If you take an iPhone 4 that does not have a Cell plan at all, and use it like an iPod Touch, will the GPS still work? Obviously, the assisted GPS portion will not work, but we're looking to use certain apps that measure distance via GPS (specifically, running apps like Zombies Run). These apps will run on an iPod Touch, but the absense of a GPS chip means that certain features are disabled or not quite as accurate. We have no intention of ever purchasing a cell plan for the phone, we're just looking to get an iPod Touch with GPS built in to it.

I have an Airport Extreme serving as my wireless router with an external hard drive connected to it. I also have an Airport Express in another room connected to a stereo for Airplay. Neither can be found on the Airport Utility (v5.5.3), but wireless internet still works. This happens often, with both reappearing in Airport Utility for short amounts of time periodically. What's the deal? Both the Extreme and Express are less than 6 months old. It's a bit frustrating not getting tunes when you have everything set up right and not being able to use Time Machine consistently.
All recommendations appreciated.

I've once had the same problem.
The reason for that issue is the frequency (radio band) hopping of the station.
On your AP-Extreme
Enter the manual setup
Disable Guest Network if not desperately needed
Set a dedicated name for the 5GHz wireless (wireless -> wireless options)
Eventually change the radio mode (if no 802.11b/g systems in your home) to "only 802.11n (5GHz) - only 802.11n (2.4GHz)" by holding down the option key *alt* while clicking on the drop down.
On your Mac
Disable (switch off) wireless
Enter system configuration -> network -> wireless
Uncheck "Ask to join new networks"
Enter advanced options and check that your wireless name is in the first position of the list. If not, drag it with the mouse to the first position.
Click apply
Join your wireless again and try to connect to the 5GHz name (SSID) because the 5GHz will improve the connection speed of your Mac remarkably.
Eventually you might change the settings on the Express too.
Check the location of the AP-Extreme.
It should NOT be placed: On the floor, in a corner, behind furniture, near metal objects, life high voltage wire or cordless phone bases.
It should be placed: As high as possible (up on a shelf or ceiling mounted) with a maximum line of sight to all stations, even thru walls.
If your home situation allows that, try to use the 5GHz band only. If you own a iPhone this must use the 2.4GHz radio.

So switch a LAN card fix this issue...seems a compatibility issue or maybe some packs or programs you installed recently cause this issue.
Have you manually check the network adapter driver from the PC's manufacture website? sometimes, it will be a time delay before Microsoft push out the driver update.
Check if issue exists in safemode with network, this mode will launch Windows with limited sets of files and drivers.
if you have a restore point, restore the pc to a previous point at which the pc is functioning fine.

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

I have a similar problem. I restored my iPhone 5 to the latest available OS. After completing the process the phone never restarted. The phone was fully charged when I restored it but now refuses to charge past the red battery icon. I have been able to get the phone in UFD mode several times and have been able to load the new OS on the phone. The Apple logo does come on and the software fully loads. iTunes tells me the phone will restart but never does. I left it to charge all night but it never appeared to load the battery. This morning I went to the Grand Central Terminal apple store for help. A woman at the store plugged the phone in but it never charged. She absolutely refused to believe that I got my phone in UFD mode and loaded any software on. I don't think it is a battery issue. The only solution I was given was to buy a new phone. Repairing it was out of the question. At this point the phone is completely useless. Thanks in advance for the help.

Also, I am trying to connect my Mini from the mini-Displayport to the Displayport of my Dell U2410 monitor. The image is very grainy,even though it is set to the correct resolution: 1920 X 1200 at 60Hz. If I use HDMI to VGA input, the image is much clearer. Is there a way to get the Displayport to work?

I'm seeing a great many devicemgr and rake errors in my system log. I don't know if they're related. How 'bout you?
If you're unfamiliar with the system log…
Open /Applications/Utilities/Console.
If necessary, choose View > Show Log List.
system.log is at the top of the FILES section.
Try searching it for hot words like DEBUG, FATAL, and aborted.
I've found some discussions that would tend to indicate my errors are postGres related – I'm running OS X server.
