Will the iPad play the formats .wmv, .pps and .mpg?

Will it play these formats? If not, what apps are best? Or what iPad formats do I convert to using a PC?

Highlight QuickTime, click CHANGE then REPAIR.

When IOS7 comes out, will the current iPhone 5 and iPad mini have the finger scanner option, or is it just the new 5S, because in the release videos, they showed an on screen finger scanner, so I was curious whether older models will have this function?

The fingerprint scanner will be a function of new hardware.

jpg does not support Layers.
Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

Will the new photos app and icloud photos library support all formats of pics and videos from my iphoto library?

I will be migrating my whole 200gb iPhoto library 9.5.1 mavericks over to Yosemite iPhoto 9.6.1 and then migrate to the new photos app and hopefully to the icloud.photos online. Does this all support all of my formats such as AVI videos in my iPhoto library. I don't want to lose those through migration.

I have this 31% issue too - when I attempt to update my iPhoto library to the new Photo app.
I have a few libraries - one on my mac, and two on a NAS. I access the NAS via wifi.
The mac based library did update, but the two network albums have yet to be successfully migrated over to Photo.

TS1702 I am updating my IPAD to version 5.1 and the update has stopped before completion. What is the procedure. If I stop the update or restart the IPAD will the update be corrupted and also the IPAD operating system.

I am updating a new IPAD to the latest version from ITUNES. The update is not complete and has stopped. What is the procedure to restart? If I close ITUNES i get a message that the IPAD is updating. Will closing the application cause the update to be corrupted and thus the operating system? Will the same occur if I power the IPAD down or disconnect it vis the USB port?

You may also want to go to:
~/Library/iTunes/
This is done by going to the "Go" in the Finder and select Go To Folder. Copy and paste:
~/Library/iTunes/
In to Go To Folder selection. Look for a folder called iPad Software Updates. Delete anything in that folder and re download the upadate.

How to insert the Formatted date value and insert into the database

I am having requirement of inserting the date value in to the datbase. I'm already getting the value from file as MM-DD-YYYY. Getting exception while transforming the values through the transform activity. I'm using format fate function but it is inserting null value in to the database.
Any help from anyone would bve appreciated.

Hi,
your input date format is fixed right? So, in the transform you can split each your date, which is in 'MM-DD-YYYY' format ... extract day, month, year.
After that ... just put these values in order acording to the format of 'xsd:date' data type which is '[-]CCYY-MM-DDZ'.
XPath function 'xp20:format-dateTime()' works only with 'xsd:dateTime' data type, which has format '[-]CCYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ'.
So, in your case it could be:

We have basic phone with Prepaid Core and over $200 balance. If we upgrade to a smartphone with monthly bill, will the balance be transferred and applied?

We have a basic Verizon cell phone with a Prepaid Core Plan which has over $200 balance in account. We usually purchase $100 for minutes once a year for our phone (on limited income). If we upgrade to a Smart Phone, it looks like we will have to pay $45 a month. Will the balance in our prepaid account be applied to the new Smart Phone and pay the monthly charge for as long as there is a balance in the account? Thanks.

We're excitd that you're considering a post paid account. I'll be happy to provide more information about the credit balance that you have. Once you move the account from prepaid to post paid the balance can't be moved to the post paid account. It will be refunded back to you.

If you reinstall iWork using the family pack on the same Mac, it won't count as a second Mac, so you will be able to install it legally on four more Macs

Will the features of WebHelp and WebHelp Pro layouts ever be combined?

Why are they separate? I like the enhanced features of WebHelp Pro, but I lose other new and GREAT features of WebHelp.
I use the WebHelp Pro layout for the customization features like:
Conditional Build Expressions
Content selection (TOC, Index, Glossary, etc.)
Exclude unreferenced Topics and baggage files
I would like to also use WebHelp (not Pro) features like:
Turning off certain toolbar buttons when there is no content for them (i.e. Index, Glossary). I have customzed the skin, but am not able to delete these buttons from the navigation area. Turning them off in WHPro would be ideal.
Using Content Categories. I need to use this feature to keep the TOC pane from showing (great for mobile devices) and for offering specific navigational paths, but I would have to sacrifice the features of Pro to do. Namely, Excluding unreferenced topics and baggage files. Our client primarily uses the search feature instead of the TOC navigation. We can't have them "finding" unused or developmental content, so I have to use Pro -- unless there is a better solution.
Am I missing something here?

Hi Shelley
Sounds like you could really use a bit of RoboHelp training. I say that because you are unaware of why you would need RoboHelp Server, unaware that the "Pro" outputs are intended for use only with that output and the grand daddy of them all: unaware that most (if not all) of the features you cited are simple to achieve with the standard WebHelp output if you only know what and where to tweak things.
John and I are both Adobe certified instructors. Additionally, there are books on RoboHelp you may purchase that will help you learn how to effectively learn these features.

If I have CC on my computer from a former employer, if I start my own account on the same computer do I have to redownload all the programs or will the accounts just switch and that's that?

It's kind of confusing. I bought a computer from work several months ago that has all the CC apps on it. I no longer work for that employer. I'd like to have my own account and pay for it myself, what I am trying to figure out is just do I need to redownload all the apps under my name or it will stay where it is and just be under a different name? It has a ton of preferences I'd rather not have to change.

Boot Camp Assistant is included on the OSx installation disk. There is no charge. Boot Camp Assistant is used to create a Windows partition on which you install the Windows operating system.
You need to buy a retail version of Windows. Once Windows is installed on the Boot Camp partition you can boot your computer into OSx or into Windows.
You can install and use Windows software when you are booted into Windows.
There is a Boot Camp Installation Guide on your installation disk.

If I turn off the cellular data on my iPhone 5s will the number of bars and provider still show at the top?

I got an iPhone and I noticed I was using data a lot quicker than I was with my android I had before it. I turned off the cellular but the number of "bars" or dots that are filled in and the service provider still show up at the top of the screen. Is it actually turned off or did it stay on?

The dots will still show when cellular data is turned off. You still have a cellular connection for phone calls and non iMessage texting and it is showing the strength of that connection.
Note that you can track what is using your cellular data by going to Settings > Cellular > Use Cellular Data For
and you can also turn off individual apps on that screen.

When attempting to log onto the iTunes store, the formatting is wrong, and I cannot purchase anything. Can anyone help?

Earlier this morning, I tried to access the iTunes store on my laptop. It seemed to be loading fine, but when the screen loaded up it was different. I could use the search bar to search for the things I wanted to purchase, but I couldn't buy anything. I've tried restarting the laptop, but nothing seems to have helped. Can anyone give me any advice as to what is wrong with it?
