i was just wondering if the ipod touch 5g was coming out in 2012?

We are all end users like yourself. Apple does not monitor these forums.  It's against the Terms of Use of these forums to speculate about future Apple products.

    We know as much as you. Apple did not make any announcement yet, including in todays iPhone/iWatch event. Typically they announce any new iPod  when then have an iPad/Mac computer event which is usually in October.

    I live in New Hampshire.
    I am really enjoying the 5th gen. I have been using a 4th Gen since September 2010, and obviously the 5th gen is a much smoother experience. I have not had any issues with iOS 6, really. I had issues with it on my 4th gen, but so far no issues on the 5th gen.
    Siri has been working well for the most part. I've had a few occasions where Siri will simply sit there and spin, finally coming back with an answer like 2 minutes later, but that is not common. This same issue occurs on my wife's iPad3 and my neighbor's iPhone5. I don't think it's anything wrong with the iPod at all, I think sometimes Siri just gets hung up.
    The only issues I've had are:
    1) Safari has twice 'forgotten' my bookmarks. This was resolved by simply forcing the app closed and re-opening it.
    2) Only once, after coming home from being out, my iPod wouldn't play well with my router. It insisted I was connected to my router, but it wasn't able to fetch any data. I tried shutting off the wifi several times, re-establishing the connection, etc. This was ultimately resolved by hard-restarting the iPod.
    Outside of those two issues, my experience has been VERY positive. I love using it in conjunction with my AppleTV and mirroring my screen up to my TV while using facetime. This way I can use my big TV screen for facetime.

    Does anyone have any idea with the 5th generation is coming out. I sold my itouch 4 so i could buy the 5th one but its taking forever. People said in September, but it passed already!

    Apple has not announced any new iPod models, and until they do none of us here, who are all fellow users, will have any idea. In the past, any new models of the iPod touch were announced in the fall, but whether Apple will continue this pattern or indeed if they have plans for any future new iPod touch models at all is unknown. We'll just have to wait and see.
