Will the iTunes Match service ignore my personalised metadata? (I have a very particular way of organising my iTunes files)

I know this isn't somthing popular or substantial but, all the files in my iTunes library are 100% tagged! From each individual song composer to hi-resoloution artwork. Will the iTunes Match service revert the metadeta back to the iTunes default on my iPhone and other Apple deveces?

The metadata on your library will not be touched.

    I have just now tried the Reinstall via iTunes, about 20 into the download, the iTunes logo on the phone disappeared, and the Apple Logo appeared again,,, I waited until the iTunes stated that the download had finished, and the install was in progress,,,
    Nothing happened, still the Apple Logo was visual on the screen, iTunes never recognised the phone which it was on my iTunes account previously,,,
    Still just a bunch of lines, maybe 5 or 6 so small writing,, I personally can not read what it is telling me, someone said it reads, incorrect shutdown,,,????????
    Please advise,???
    I am now at a loss,,, I really became excited when I saw the iTunes icon after putting the phone into restore,,,???

    iTunes match will only work from a computer in terms of uploading new content. You should be able to copy iTunes purchases back via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11).     I have a brand new iPad and I am thinking about getting iTunes match.  My wife and daughter both have ipod touches.  Can I synchronize music and apps across diferrent family users accounts and devices or just a single users account and devices?

    iTunes Match seems to be designed for using all your iDevices with just one iTunes Account. I think the best way to use it between all the family members devices is to have one iTunes account for all devices. This means you will share music playlists and all purchases from iTunes Store/AppStore will be charged this one account.
    (You can still have different iCloud accounts to synchronizing contact, calendars etc.)

    iTunes Match now running very smoothly in the UK. 
    Issues reported from other nations on forced timeout at Step 1 now very rare, Swiss & Belgians the most recent.
    Likely that a significant round of infrastructure update / repair is complete.
    Arguably the main shortfall is absense of communication from Apple.
    Delighted that the service has been restored.

    Try this:
    1. Settings>General>Date & Time>Turn off set automatically
    2. Set date one year ahead
    3. Go back to iTunes and try again.
    4. You will get the same error.
    5. Go back to settings general date and time and turn back on 'set automatically'
    Try connecting to iTune Store again.

  • I'm having trouble streaming music from iCloud using iTunes Match service.

    I'm having trouble recently after five months of subscribing to iTunes Match. I listen to music on my Apple TV and until recently everything was working fine. Now, whenever I try to play music from iCloud on Apple TV via iTunes Match, Apple TV says, "iTunes cannot connect to the newtork now. Try again later." This happens while all other services are working fine.
    My iTunes Match account is active and valid. It works on my iPhone and Mac, but not the Apple TV.
    Is this happening to many others as well. Any solutions? Thanks!!

    Yes, that's exactly where I was looking, and that option to turn iTunes Match on/off was non-existent, however, I don't know what happened, it just appeared and is working fine.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match was set up but wouldn't download any of my music. I turned iTunes Match off, deauthorised and then reauthorised, restarted iTunes. Now iTunes match won't turn on - I get the "Add this computer screen" but it says can't add for 83 day

    iTunes Match was set up on my new MacBook Pro. Today, it wouldnt download any of my music, so I followed advice, switched on iTunes Match and switched it on again. When this didnt help, I deauthorized the computer, logged out of iTunes, and relogged in again. I have reauthroized the computer and reset the View/Options.
    However, now I cant connect to iTunes Match or iCloud at all. The screen asking me to Add this computer comes up, when I click and enter my Mac account details I get the error message:
    "You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 83 days."
    However, this was the iTunes account with which I set up iTunes Match.
    Anyone got any suggestions?
