Will the Keywords transfer from Lightroom to Bridge?

Will the Keywords transfer from Lightroom to Bridge

In LR once you add a keyword, have that thunbnail highlighted and (if on a Mac) hit the Command Key + the S key and it will send the info so it will be readable in Bridge. Or go to Metadata and click to send metadata to file. (I don't know the shortcut for a PC)  I haven't done it with PSCC yet, but in CS6 I quite often had to close out Bridge and re-start it and the keywords showed up.

  • How Do I upload from Lightroom and Bridge to the Creative Cloud

How Do I upload from Lightroom and Bridge to the Creative Cloud?

Adobe is still failing on this very important issue!
They said that their Creative Cloud Connection app would be ready in May/June, and here we are in October!
I wish Adobe would learn to not release products that are not ready to be used, my 20GB are useless to me unbtil they do something that integrates Br, Lr, Id & Ps specifically with the cloud. I really think that we should start charging interest for the money that we have been loaning Adobe for their developement process.

  • Is there is any way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory

    Hi
Can Configuration Manager provide a way to find the data transfer from client to Configuration Manager for health monitoring and hardware Inventory. How can I know what amount of data is consumed during that process

Place archive_reports.sms in %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\ for both 64-bit and 32-bit computers.
There are two situations where you can use this depending on the type of client:
    1. To keep inventory reports on a client (that is not an MP), create the following file:
    %systemroot%\ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
    2. To keep inventory reports on a MP (that is also a client), create the following file:
    <x>:\sms_ccm\inventory\temp\archive_reports.sms
The XML file will be saved in the inventory\temp folder.
More information on the above here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2012/09/17/controlling-configuration-manager-2012-using-hidden-files.aspx

  • Will the optical drive from a 14" iBook G3 fit and work in a 12" iBook G3?(

The logic board in my 14" G3 finally died (after two replacements). I've got a 13" G3 that works great, but has the CD-ROM optical drive.
Will the combo drive from the dead 14" fit in the 13" (and, more importantly, will it work)? I'm not afraid of the disassembly - I've replaced iBook hard drives before, so I know the drill - but I don't want to start on the job, only to find that the drive won't fit or won't work.
I've read some posts online about master vs slave settings, HD jumpers, and so forth, but I don't think they're talking about a swap job like this.
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
    Dick

    Dick,
Here's the Apple part numbers for the 14" and 12" from the manuals:
    14"
    Optical Drive
    CD-ROM 661-2667
    CD-RW/DVD-ROM 661-2683
    CD-ROM 661-1775
    COMBO 661-1776
    12"
    Optical Drive Assembly w/Bezel
    CD-ROM 661-1775 (Good)
    Combo 661-1776 (Better)
So the numbers seem identical hard to tell from the info I have if the cables are the same but even if they aren't there are usually just adapters that screw into the back to adapt to different cables. Since you have both iBooks you'll have those adapters.
There also seem to be differences in the bracketing but you'll also have those so I'd give it a try.
Oh and also the bezels might be different.

  • Will the sim card from my 5 work in the 6?

Will the SIM card from my iphone5 work in an iPhone 6?

The iPhone 4s uses a Micro SIM and the iPhone 6 uses a Nano SIM.  The Nano SIM is smaller and thinner, so you should get a new SIM, but some customers have been able to trim their Micro SIM down and gotten it to work in the newer iPhones.  It is a snug fit since it is also thicker, so I would suggest getting a new SIM if you can.

  • HT201269 Will my photos transfer from iphone 4 to 4s if I restore the 4s from iPhone 4 back up on iTunes?

Will my photos that I took with iPhone 4 transfer from iphone 4 to 4s if I restore the 4s from iPhone 4 back up on iTunes?

Do a backup of your 4, either to the cloud or your computer, depending on how you usually do this.
If you backed up your 4 to the computer, connect the new phone to the computer at this point, if you restored it to the cloud, do NOT connect it to the computer (or you might get an old backup by mistake). Just connect it to a charger.
When you first power up your new phone, it will ask you whether you want do configure it as a new phone or to restore it from a backup.  Select "from a backup".  The prodedure is slightly different for computer and iCloud backups, but you'll be able to figure it out.
This will restore all your apps, settings, and camera roll.  Then you can either sync it to the computer or redownload your music and movies (depending on how you manage these things).
Once this is done, you can delete everything you don't want from the old phone.

  • When will the next update to Lightroom be that will include the acceptence of RAW files from the new Canon 7D Mark II?

The title pretty much describes the query.  I do not want to use any other sort of file converter to pull the RAW files into Lightroom or the like.  I am hoping that Adobe will answer.  Cheers, Keith.

Native Lightroom support for the D750 was added in the Lightroom 5.7 update released this evening.

  • Can Premier Pro make use of caption and keyword metadata from Lightroom

I’m using Premier CS6 to create a slideshow with images from Lightroom. When I export from Lightroom, I have quite a bit of Metadata encoded into the image and I’m wondering if there is a way to see that metadata in Premier?
I’m probably dreaming but I’d love to be able to create a lower third, title template that would get its information from the Caption field in Lightroom.
Any other tips for using Lightroom and Premier together would be appreciated.

Whatever metadata is viewable in PP will be available in the metadata pane.  However, titles cannot automatically 'grab' their data from any source.  It has to be typed or copied in manually.

  • JPG's from Lightroom vs Bridge... file size difference.

I'm a Photographer. I only shoot in RAW. I use CS2 and Bridge to process my RAW files and then export the finals to JPG.
I heard the buzz about Lightroom and downloaded the trial to give it a whirl. I have since upgraded my trial version to full version (via serial number) and then took a set of RAW files that were already tweaked (via Bridge/ACR), copied them to another folder (with the xmp side car files), brought them into Lightroom and exported them to JPG. The JPG's created by Lightroom were MUCH smaller. I was very surpised by this.
I shoot with a Canon 20D and the JPGs generated from Bridge ending up being between 4 to 6mg per image. For the same set of RAW images, the JPGs generated from Lightromm avereaged between 1.5 and 3.5 mg. Both Lightroom and Bridge were set to export the JPGs at the highest quality.
Can anyone tell me why this would be? Has anybody else found this to be the case? I can't help but think that some data is being discarded from Lightroom.

Did you choose export metadata to file first? The edits made to RAW images are contained within the database as well as xmp files if you choose this option. The edits for all other formats are embedded within the file (as well as the database) but of course you have to choose the export metadata option first. Your files may be smaller because they don't contain this data.
The image quality settings are not like for like across the Adobe range so cannot be compared.

  • I cannot get a picture to transfer from lightroom 5 to elements 13 premium to edit?

I have up dated lightroom and have just installed elements and whenever I try to edit by transfering  a copy from lightroom to elements I get a waring pop up that says it cannot read in any format i choose. (psd.tiff etc) ??

When you click Cmd+E a dialog appears and you choose to export toPSE as PSD or tif with Lightroom settings. LR usually adds the word Edit to the original file name.
After you finish in editing in Elements and press Cmd+S to save you should get prompted to overwrite the existing file. You must say yes e.g. to overwrite the file that Lightroom exported to PSE. If you choose a different name or file format then Lightroom won’t know anything about it.
Finally when you Press Cmd+W the image should close in Elements and your PSE adjustments will show up on the Lightroom copy. Use that for print, slideshow or to export a jpeg from Lightroom.

  • Photoshop cc 2014 will not open images from Lightroom

I have just upgraded Photoshop and Lightroom through the creative cloud, and now when i take an image from Lightroom to Photoshop,Photoshop opens but the image does not appear.I have Photoshop cc 2014 as the default editor.I am able to open the image in any of the plug ins i have installed e.g Topaz Labs.

This has been reported quite a lot lately.  SSprengel, have you actually seen an uninstall and reinstall correct the link between Lightroom and Photoshop CC (2014)?  If so, I'll start advising people to do so.  I hadn't run across anyone claiming to have discovered a solution to the problem yet.

  • Transfer from Lightroom to Photoshop for executing a picture does not work

Execute a picture from Lightroom to Photoshop das not work. Picture is not opened in Photoshop. What could be the reason?

First: Go to <Edit >Preferences >General tab / Prompts and click on <Reset all Warning Dialogs>.
Then do Edit in Photoshop again. Do you get a dialog box? What does it say?
And which version of Photoshop is this?
If it is not CS6 but a prior version, you have to select <Render using Lightroom>; <Open anyway> doesn't work with CS5 or earlier CS.
The reason is that CS5 has not the latest ACR, but Lr 4.3 has. That means that CS5 cannot open a Raw image sent from Lr 4.3.
The solution is to let Lr 4.3 create the PSD (or TIFF) and send it to CS5. This is done by selecting <Render using Lightroom>.

  • Syncing Labels from Lightroom to Bridge and vice versa.

The labels in Lightroom over-ride those in Bridge and vice versa.  I have matched the descriptions of the coloured Labels between Lightroom 2.0 and Bridge, yet when I assign eg. a Green Label in Lighroom and then open Bridge, the Label appears White.  If I select those White Labels in Bridge and make them Green, then return to Lightroom and Sync the folder, those formerly Green Labels are converted to White.
Same thing happens with the Reject Flag in Lightroom.  It appears as a White Label in Bridge, which I can understand and wouldn't be a problem, were it not for other Coloured Labels in Lightroom displaying as White in Bridge.
Any one have an explanation for this and more importantly a solution.  Thanks.

I think you have to assign the exact same name to what the colors represent in both Bridge preferences and in Lightroom preferences.
I don't even remember what the default names Adobe assigns to each of them. I changed the words to the right of the Label colors to read "Red", "Yellow", "Green", "Purple", etc.
When in Lightroom I have to "Save Metadata to File" and then when I browse to that folder in Bridge I see the correct Label color.
