Will the lion osx support the powerpc application or do we have an update soon to support this application ??
Hi i upgraded my snowleopard system to lion osx 10.7 i purchased it legaly but there is some apps do not work at all !
i just wanna know if there is an update for lion system to support PowerPc apps or this other way we can run this apps

Lion will never support PowerPC apps. You will need to upgrade those apps or revert to Snow Leopard. Be aware, though, that no Mac you purchase from now on, other than a used one, will ever run Snow Leopard, so you will have to upgrade your apps at some point.

i upgraded to lion when it first came out but today i tried to open my photoshop cs2 and its telling me the powerpc applications are no longer supported is there any fix out there for this
Lion is Not compatible with PPC (Power PC) based software, such as your older version of PhotoShop. Your choices are you can either upgrade to the newer version of PhotoShop, or you can backup your data and apps, erase your harddrive and reinstall Snow Leopard.

I have installed Lion and Microsoft Office 2011. I want to uninstall Office 2004, but of course I cannot run the application to uninstall, because I get the "PowerPC applications are no longer supported" message. Suggestions?
Go to this microsoft site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312172 and/or this microsoft site http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768. I would suggest removing both to start with a clean slate. I had some problems with installing Office for Mac 2011 over 2008 and found out that by completely removing both and starting from a clean slate provided the best solution. Kappy is correct but some sniglets do get left behind. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I am getting the PowerPC applications are no longer supported error, so I downloaded Libreoffice and can not find it on my hard drive anywhere. It did say it would install to Applications, but it's not there. How do I find it and can I put it in my dock?

Look in the folder displayed where you see the arrow. The actual Downloads folder is found in your Home (user) folder. -
I just upgraded to mountain lion osx and now my applications are crossed out and out of date. they will not run. how do i fix this?

Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open, modify and save your data files;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory. The 4G only has 256 MB
iOS 6.1.4 was only for the iphone 5 to correct a problem on that device only. -

Wow, I saw this the other day and it got me thinking. I don't know if this will make any sense, but I am going to give it a try. Please forgive me in advance as i am somewhat technology deficient, but trying! There are many varied things that can happen with the iPhone, but I have also learned there are simple tweaks that sometimes assist in resolving situations. As when the phone is getting warm, for whatever reason unbeknownst to me, deleting my email accounts and then putting them back in again, helped with the warming of the phone and battery drain. Which begs the question for me, is there anything we can do to counter the slower activity after upgrading to iOS 6? And, if so, without shutting off every feature on the phone, would anyone have any suggestions of a prioritization of services that may counter the slowed activity to be shut down after upgrading to improve utilization? The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

I am using iPhone 4, and I had about 50 apps needed to be updated, which is stated in the App Store icon. I have not had time to update them until today. However, when I was ready to update all the apps, I found out that there was not any apps in the App Store icon needed to be update. Does anyone knows why? Please help. Thank you very much!
This morning I had the same issue - even though I have pending updates, the app store badge is gone and it says all apps are up to date. I, like many others I'm sure, selectively update apps based on reviews. I'm sure there is either an app store refresh/update on Apple's end or a run on the app store causing errors or issues.

It says on the "Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 8" pg that this download is for all users and supercedes all earlier versions. Yet to the right is says you HAVE to HAVE 10.6.8 as a requirement. WHICH is it? Is it for all versions of 10.6 or not? Why isnt this made more clear?

I have only updated my Apple TV this evening. But I have a USB image coming up on my TV screen. The blue light is flashing. Ive checked the box and there appears to be a 'small' usb port under the hdmi slot. Have I done something wrong?
Something has gone wrong - the AppleTV needs to be restored by connecting to a computer running current iTunes version using a microUSB to USB lead.
AppleTv2 does not require power when doing this.
Select the AppleTv Device on teh left in iTunes and restore to current firmware.
