Will the Time Warp effect be eventually included back?

Dear anybody on behalf of Adobe Systems Inc.,
would you be so kind to give a clear answer if the Time Warp effect will be included into Premiere Pro back?
I've just started Premiere Pro CS5 exploration and realise that it's TOO early to switch to. And one of the reason is the Time Warp effect abscence...
I rummaged plenty of Internet pages but was unable to find unambiguous answer 'Yes' or 'No'...
Changing just clip speed gives quite a poor result (first and foremost I mean a movie look).
Discussions about product advantages in general have little sense if it doesn't provide high quality output.
No one of viewers is interested in if I was enjoying with a software while I was composing unprofessional looking film...
Thanks forward

That's not a good assumption.
Well, let's have a look at the form itself: http://https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
It says (quote):
function(){return A.apply(null,[this].concat($A(arguments)))}
We normally do not send personal replies to feature requests or bug reports.
Having read those words, I should assume I would obviously get the answer on my question, won't it?
ON BALANCE (too many mere words have already been said...).
The Time Warp effect will NEVER be included back into Premiere Pro - it was deliberate marketing decision to exclude it.
Thanks for your time

  • How to minimise motion artefacts in the time warp effect?

Iv'e got a scene in disco where the subjects move quite quickly. How can I minimise the motion artefacts? What are the best settings? It looks sometimes quite 'digital' as if filtered with a median filter and sometimes there are ripple-like structures on the faces as if processed with wavelets.

I've experimented for a while now and setting the error threshold to 10 (from 1) and the motion detail to 5 makes it look pretty good. The error threshold essentially decides when to switch to frame blending instead of motion estimation. With a motion detail of 5 the motion vectors are quite coarse and the hopping looks natural. Hope that saves somebody else's time!

  • I have a monthly cap on my home data plan. Will the time capsule use it up while backing up my devices?

Logically it won't but I am not sure. Couple more questions:
    - If I have the appropriate power cable for the country, will this device work at 220V/50Hz right out of the box?
    - Can I use time capsule as a Wi-fi hard-drive with Windows PC?
Thanks so much, and please be gentle with your replies, I may not be as educated as you are.

    1. The AirPort Time Capsule doesn't use Internet when you are backing up. The computer only connects to it to copy your files to the hard drive.
    2. As you can see in specs, the AirPort Time Capsule works with the specs you said.
    3. Of course. The AirPort Time Capsule shows the hard drive as a network drive on all your computers you connect to it. In the case of a PC, you will be able to access to the hard disk from the Windows Explorer

Works on my Android Nexus 7.
    Anyway, here it is:
    Turning Time Warp effect
Consider the example of the inclusion of qualitative change speed with the aid of the Time Warp (creating the effect of "stretching" the time or time warp) in the program Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.  As we all know by default, this effect has been disabled in the version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, but you can turn it on.  Press the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl + F12 and panel Console, switches to Debug Database View:
Paragraph TimeWarpFilterEnabled instead of trying to drive a false true.  Restarting the program Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.

I use premiere cs4. When i drag clip into time line (1440 25i mpeg transcoded from avchd 1080 50i) onto time line and apply time warp effect and after rendering clip is black during playback, simply nothing in it just black picture with the same duration as original footage.

what 's wrong? what to do?
    please

    Hi!
No, the first frame is not black.. The screenshots where just examples and I tried to adjust the settings, because the first time I tried the timewarp it worked, but the next clip I wanted to warp just got black.. and I tried alot of times to figur out if I adjusted some of the settings..  ( I hope you mean the method and adjust time).
Those comes adjusted in pixel motion and Speed and thats what I have them on now.. Should I adjust it to something else?

  • With multiple devices (.g, .n, .ac) will the Time Capsule degrade to the lowest speed, or will each run at the highest rate it is capable of?

    Highest rate capable.
Things may slow down a bit if you have a number of wireless devices connected simultaneously, since they must all share the same network bandwidth.

  • Doing the Time Warp

I haven't had any problems with my iPhone until I traveled to Canada this weekend. Twice while up there the time warped ahead by 1 hour. I looked like a total dork lined up waiting impatiently for the doors at the theatre to open an hour yearly. The doors were to open at 7pm, and my time on the phone showed 7pm. I check numerous times, 7:10, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 6:50... Huh.. 6:50? Sure enough it really was 6:50. I checked my wife's phone (RAZR) it was correct, 6:50. At first we both thought we had gone crazy and brushed it off as being a bit drunk. Later that night I checked my phone and it said midnight, but the clock at the casino (what, a clock at a casino, I was shocked too) said 11pm. My wife's phone said 11pm as well. It wasn't until about 9am the next morning that my time was correct again. Since I have been back in the States it has been fine.
Has anyone else experienced this while traveling internationally, if you can call Canada international traveling.

It may not be a problem with the phone. When I travel (pre-iPhone, both US and abroad), I have seen some local networks broadcasting the wrong timezone. My guess in each case was that I was hitting a network with coverage that crossed timezones, and was getting the neighboring timezone. If it got to be a problem, I would turn off the "get time from local network" option, and set the timezone manually on the phone until I landed someplace where the timezone was OK.
You might want to turn off the "Set Automatically" option in Settings->General->Date and Time until you return home.

How will the Time Capsule support IPv6 and coop with the new emerging security threats that will emerge due to the new technical possibilities that IPv6 provide?

    Cross your fingers and hope.
Obviously if there is any big or known threat Apple will send out a firmware fix.
But the TC is designed to be end user simple device. It has no firewall that is visible at any rate. I don't know that it truly doesn't have a firewall but it is not part of the end user controls.
IMO if you have major security concerns that go beyond end device firewall, which is where Apple do put most of the security, since firewall in the router is plainly not a stop to anybody deliberately downloading an infected file or website, and most end users.. do not want a firewall that prevents them using the web like a business does, where only certain ports are allowed. Everything else tough luck.. you are not allowed to use it. Then TC is unsuitable for you anyway.. buy a proper firewall appliance.

  • Can the Time Capsule be used just to back up on an existing wi-fi network?

Can the Time Capsule be used just to back up on an existing wi-fi network?    We just set-up a new Xfinity wireless modem which is supposed to be very fast, but Time Capsule set-up instructions indicate we need to use the Time capsule as the primary internet connection.   True?

My mistake. Meant to reply to snorris3. Text is repeated below:
Can I still use it as a back up device?   My new modem is also the router.
    Yes you can.
The best way (and really the only way) to set up the Time Capsule would be to connect an Ethernet cable from your modem/router to the Time Capsule.
The Time Capsule will produce a wireless network by default, but if you don't want to use that network, it is a simple matter to turn off the wireless on the Time Capsule and use it only as a  hard drive for backups.
I would be very surprised if the Xfinity modem/router would even come close to the wireless performance of the Time Capsule, but that may be another discussion.
If you elect not to use the wireless on the Time Capsule, then you will be backing up over the existing wireless network that you already have.
That would be a shame, since a third to half of the total cost of the Time Capsule is tied up in the wireless router portion of the Time Capsule. If you want to use the existing Xfinity wireless network, you could save yourself quite a bit of money by simply connecting a USB or Firewire hard drive to your Mac for backups. But, it's your call.

  • Do i need to set up the time capsule airport before i start backing up using time machine with my time capsule?

Do i need to set up the time capsule airport before i start backing up using time machine with my time capsule?

Some setup is generally required.. because the TC is a network device.. not a plug in via usb.. therefore it has to exist somewhere in your network.

  • I would like to back up my mac to a wireless hard drive, seperately on the same hard drive I'd like to store movies which i can access and play from other mac devices around the house on a wireless network. Will the time capsule do this for me?

    Wireless soulutions please?

Yes, just copy the movie to the TC.. if you mean run itunes from the TC you can do that too.. there are plenty of posts telling how.
But big BUTT.. no backup for data stored directly on the TC.. Time Machine is not going to back up the TC.. and as it only has one hard disk make sure it has a backup somewhere else.. otherwise one day you will discover your files are gone.

  • HT201250 Will the Time Machine restore lost SMTP server password?

Lost SMTP password.... will using time machine reset old password and allow me to use email server again?
I can backup all new files on ext. drives

It won't.  Time Machine doesn't interact with the EFI hardware (the successor to the BIOS, if that helps), which is where Firmware Passwords are set up.
    HTH.

  • Will partitioning Time Capsule effect my backups?

If I have a 1TB drive and partitioned it 500GB for Time Machine and 500GB for drag&drop, can this have a negative effect on my Time Machine backups?

No, other than limiting the amount of data that can be stored in the Time Machine backups.
However, it is a challenging task to partition the drive on a Time Capsule in a traditional way, since you must pull the drive from the Time Capsule......voiding the warranty on the Time Capsule.....to perform the partitioning operation.
You might want to set up a 500 GB disk image on the Time Capsule drive using Disk Utility on your Mac for your drag and drop storage, then leave the drive "as is", since Time Machine must back up directly to the Time Capsule drive.

  • Will the time capsule work the bt home hub 3

Will my time capsule work with the bt home hub 3

Apple products work in a huddle with themselves.. all others are excluded so no you cannot wireless repeat if that is what you mean.
In bridge though the TC can work as a WAP.. as can every wireless router ever made. You must connect to the home hub by ethernet. Then set the wireless manually and use the same network name, ie SSID, and security settings and password.. but you need to use a different wireless channel. You can then roam with any wireless devices..and they should connect to the strongest signal. In reality it doesn't work 100% and I think it is easier to use a different SSID and know what you are connecting too, but that is up to you.

  • Will the Time Capsule backup applications or make a full image of MBP?

Recently had hard drive completely crash and was issued a brand new "BLANK" hard drive.  I do use Carbonite, so all 750,000+ files were saved to a cloud in the sky.  The only problem with that is that this cloud is so far away, it has taken me a week now and I am still restoring my files.  Not only that, I have officially lost all those great apps and I have to individually go through each website to download and install.  I wanted to know if Time Capsule will eliminate both problems???????
    thanks in advance

    Yup.
But a bit of clarification first:
Time Machine is the backup software built-in to OSX.  It can back up to external HDs, Time Capsules, or other locations.
A Time Capsule is a piece of Apple hardware combining a wireless router and hard drive.  While it was designed specifically for Time Machine to do wireless backups of Macs, it can also be used for other things.
So . . . there are various possiblilites.  Time Capsules are more expensive than plain external HDs of course, but more convenient for laptop users.  If you have a desktop Mac, you could probably back up to a shared drive on it via your network.
You might want to review the Time Machine Tutorial, and perhaps browse Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
#14 in the FAQ  shows how to do a full system restore from Time Machine backups.  There's a lot of "works" and options there, but basically you can restore your entire system from any backup in one operation -- OSX, apps, settings, preferences, user accounts, data, etc.  In a very few cases where apps are tied to a particular HD, you may have to re-enter a serial number or re-authorize the app.
#27 there has some alternatives, too.
