Will there be a technical manual?

with internal routines and others useful informations??

Well, it doesn't quite work that way. You can become an Apple Developer, but you will need a product concept to get past first base, a workable development plan, and a reasonable track record.
See this: http://developer.apple.com
There are lots of challenges in the way, however. There are no software development kits, none in the pipeline and no announced future software development concepts. Hardware development is typically 'reserved' for big players with big ideas, and again, a proven track record. My company has done very tightly focused product development for Apple, but not for several years, and we aren't interested at all in getting back into that business.
Apple itself does not encourage or accept unsolicited ideas. If you are serious, your best bet is to approach an existing iPod hardware developer with your concept. But, understand this clearly: they can not, and will not, disclose any information about the iPhone such as that which you are apparently seeking. It would mean the end of their development relationship with Apple.

  • Is there anywhere a technical manual for the NB100 ?

Is there anywhere a technical manual for the NB100 ?
I want to replace my internal harddisk with a bigger one and don´t want to destroy anything so a manual for the best way to open the NB100 would be a good thing :-)

The upgrade is not that hard. There is no need to completely disassemble the unit. Remove the screws from the underside, then remove the cover at the top of the keyboard (the cover with the on/off switch on). Remove the screws from under the cover and then remove the keyboard, gently unclipping the ribbon. unclip the ribbon for the touchpad and the wireless aerials (x2). At this stage the HDD is accessible on the left side, remove the screws and gently pull the HDD out.
Once the new drive is fitted, reverse the procedure. I had no option but to replace mine, as I was on an overseas trip when the Toshiba HDD failed (the system was saying I had no HDD fitted) and as I had only taken the NB100 with me I had no choice if I wanted a working laptop for the trip, I stripped my external HDD and fitted it into the NB100, I now have a NB100 with a 250 GB HDD and it's perfect.

  • Will there be a new Technical Communication Suite when CS5 will be released next month ?

    Dear Forum,
will there be a new Technical Communication Suite when CS5 will be released next month (April 2010) ?
We are close ordering the Technical Communication Suite 2 - will there be a grace period to get the
new version without getting charged again ?
    Greetz from Europe,
    Speedtriple

    I'm wondering about that too.
I've been stuck before when I bought TCS, then tried to upgrade just Captivate when v4 was released, and couldn't do it.  Took months to get my money back for the CS4 download.
Seems that anyone who buys a suite gets penalized for it.  Surely it's in Adobe's best interest to upgrade users who invested in the more expensive product?

  • FrameMaker output to Flex for creation of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)

    Hello,
Does anyone know if it's possible to output a Structured FrameMaker 8 book to Flex 3.
I would like to convert standard technical manuals that are produced using Structured FrameMaker to Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) based on 40051-1 (Army) and 38784 (Air Force) military standards.
Are there any plans to hook Flex 3 into the Technical Communication Suite (like Captivate and RoboHelp) or not? If not, then this may be something to add to the wish list.
Overall I think this would make a lot of sense as one could convert or re-spin legacy manuals and output to a Rich Internet Application (RIA) via Flex 3.
Your comments are very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Jim

    Hi Amy...
Well .. you should become familiar with the Structure Application Developers Guide (PDF installed in your FM/docs folder) .. this has all of the info you'll need.
You're on the right track .. it sounds like you're doing the right thing. After using Open DTD, you should end up with an EDD (or the start of one). If there are errors in this import process, you'll need to resolve the errors before you can continue. Many times you'll need to make tweaks to the EDD to get certain element types properly set up (tables are often a problem). You'll also need to make adjustments to the EDD so that certain elements are rendered in a useful way (empty elements may need to be a marker). For a complex DTD, there's often a lot of work to make the needed tweaks. This will also involve setting up a read/write rules file, as well as a template. At a minimum the structure application consists of an EDD, rules file, and template.
It's likely that someone else is also working on developing a structure app for this DTD, you might post a query asking specifically about that.
This process of making a structure app from a DTD can be bit of work, but keep in mind that once you're finished and are able to open the XML files in Frame, you're basically ready to print (assuming you've set up your template with meaningful styles). If you use other XML editors, you'll be able to open the files right away and start editing, but in order to print, you've got to do a lot of work. It's basically a tradeoff .. and from what I've seen the FM approach is typically less work in the long run.
BTW .. where does one find this DTD? I made a quick Google search and found the MIL-STD-40051 specification, but no DTD. I'd be interested in checking this out, can you point me at it?

  • Snapmirror: What kind of checksum does it use and is there a way to manually verify it?

    Two questions:
    1. I have been searching but unable to find what kind of checksum snapmirror uses to verify its copies. Can anyone tell me? If there is a technical document explaining it, that would be perfect.
    2. Is there a way to manually verify, or display the checksum verification, of a recent snapmirror? Or manually run the checksum verification between the source and destination volumes without having to mount them to, say, a linux server and run an MD5 on them?Reason im asking is that I have some executives that are using an application and its data is now the most important thing to this company...more important than the environment itself. They are asking for this data to be copied from one place to another and then a visual verification of some kind showing that the two match, every 30 days. I say Snapmirror because i know it uses a checksum verification and there we have the copy and the verification in one. I can tell them that if the checksum fails, we will get an email alert that the snapmirror failed. But they want the visual "yes" every time, instead of the silence of a "yes" and a loud "no."

  • Robohelp Technical Manual

    Hello:
I am in the process of converting our quick reference guides
into online help using Robohelp 7. The Director of our Product
Development and Applications group wants to review a technical
manual on the product. Is there technical documentation available?
    Thanks,
    Patricia

    Hi Patricia
As for the folders and files, consider everything you find in
the WebHelp folder to be needed. Yes, you will find some files that
aren't used. The thing is, WebHelp has some built in fall backs.
Some of the files are needed in case it switches from one display
method to another. Weeding out what isn't needed for certain
situations will likely take far more time (and time is money) than
it will "cost" in additional disk space if you just accept what is
    there.
As for the calls you need to make to establish links, there
is more on that at the link below.

  • I'm unable to sync my contacts with the new iPhone 5 and my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. Will there be a fix for this in the next update?

I previously had an iPhone 4 synced and paired with my 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and had no issues. Now I have a new iPhone 5 and am able to sync the phone but the contacts will not update in the phone book listing for the vehicle. I've tried several times to re-sync and pair the phone to the vehicle and still the same issue. I'm able to make an receive calls but no contact information is being displayed. From all of the previous community issues reported it's not an AT&T issue, Hyundai issue, it's clearly pointing at the device (iPhone 5) being the issue.
Will there be a fix for this in the next update?
    Thank you.

Thanks for your response. However, after speaking with a level 2 Apple Advisor and Hyundai there is an issue that both companies are aware of and are working towards a resolution. Here's a blurb from Hyundai that was sent to me after I spoke with Apple Advisor:
"We apologize for any inconvenience associated with the technical issues with devices connected via Bluetooth. Hyundai is aware of the iPhone losing its Bluetooth connection to the vehicle along with any function associated with it at the time. Hyundai has been able to reproduce the concern in our test vehicles and have sent all necessary information to Apple engineers. Hyundai received confirmation from Apple that they will work on debugging.
If your iPhone is 3G, 4, 4S, 5 and has one of the following iOS: 6.0, 6.1.0, 6.1.1, 6.1.2, 6.1.3, 6.1.4 or higher, you may be affected." - Hyundai Engineering

  • Need Technical Manual for Satellite P200-18Z

I require a manual with detailed information of the hardware in this notebook.
I am compiling a hardware particular kernel for FreeBSD.
I will be very thankful for this information and I will post my configuration on BSD specific forums so that other people may use it.

    Hi
Such technical manuals that you mean are not for public and are only available tor ASPs and Toshiba because on the Toshiba website I can only download the user manual.
But for hardware informations you dont need a service manual. You can find enough informations in user manual or if you search with Google as Akuma suggested.
Furthermore if you have installed XP or Vista you can use a hardware information tool, like PC Wizard 2008 or Everest.
I hope I could help you a little bit.
    Bye

"Sorry, There was a technical problem. Please try again soon."
There are NO announcements, or forum news entries, no notifications of downtime etc..
Many people (like myself) are trying to get nokia users on their feet and I think we'd appreciate a headsup.

Nokia already announced before that they will release Symbian^3 this year and Symbian^4 next year and MeeGo was announced as likely this year or next. Not to mention circulating pictures of a phone with the same aesthetic design of the N8 but has a sliding four row qwerty keyboard.

  • Will there be a patch beta?

I, like many, have experienced the iTunes 5 services related problem.
Is sounds as if Apple is working to correct this problem with a patch
My question is - Does Apple run a (closed or open) Beta for their patches and product revs?
I have found runnin a real (not marketing driven) beta to be quite valuable in improving robustness, ensuring compatibility, and exposing problems that the (often overworked and underpowered) SQA team simply isn't going to catch (esp if we're talking a port to a system that isn't native to the dev)
I would expect, like other products, there to be technical folks who use your products perfectly willing to run beta SW and so equipped to run on a test platform so that danger to data or functionality of a primary working system is not compromised
I realize that marketing tends to want to use Betas as a "buzz generator" and that the "product image" tends to be more of the "monolithic/automagic it just works" tenor, but I think we all realize that it is still a technical product and that even the sleekest automobile has an engine under the aerodynamic hood and I honestly don't see running betas (probably closed) as being counter to this. Instead it would show the development as responsve and dilligent.

    You're right. It's a joke.
I enable 24bit crystalizer and cmss-3dsurround/cmss-3dheadphone and encode in wma format. The superrip sound come out hollow and dull compare to a normal rip wma/mp3 format. Any creative representati've can reply to this?

  • Is there a way to manually distribute dual CPU resources in Logic Pro 7?

    Hi,
Most of the time you can see that only one of the two CPU is used in Logic Pro. When it's saturated, the sound clips and it's over Is there a way to manually distribute processes and apps between the two CPUs? This is possible in Win thru Task Manager, and should be possible in Mac, but I dont know for sure. Can anyone help?
    thx.

It is handled by Logic and OS X. Node'ing is the only thing you can really do to control distribution of CPU aside from running standalone apps as standalone apps and not using Logic to host them. Logic's Multiprocessor support is sort of adrift. One day it will work and a half hour later it is concentrated on the 1st processor and not sharing tasks. It is kinda broken for some people sometimes. You just kind of have to live with it for now.
