Will there be an itunes web store?

Hi,
I My PC at home runs Linux, and the only windows PC I use has a security policy on it that does not allow itunes to be installed. Is there going to be another route for purchasing music from itunes?
I'm sure there are a lot of other customers that would prefer to not use the itunes software for purchasing music.

I thought there may be an occasional apple employee who wanders these forums on occasion to provide the occasional answer.
They don't. And even if one were to happen by, they would never comment on Apple's future, unannounced plans.
I think I've used that form before, and as they "don't reply to people individually" I'm not confident that they actually read them all!
They do. But that doesn't mean that they'll implement any given suggestion.

IPhone will not connect to iTunes WiFi Store

I have purchased and downloaded onto my iPhone one album from the iTunes WiFi Store. Since then, I have been unable to connect to the iTunes WiFi store again. When I click on the "iTunes" icon on my phone, all I get is "Loading..." with the never-ending circle of death. But it never loads. Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know why I cannot connect?

I just had an interesting experience. I kept trying to buy a song from the David Crowder Band called Everything Glorious. The purchase would go though and it would tell me that it was going to be an iTunes Plus (or something like that) song (Higher Quality) I assume. It would begin to download and then stop.
After about 20 tried of different songs on that album I just tried another song by another artist. Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer and it worked fine as well as "Jesus take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. I went back and tried Everything Glorious by David Crowder band and it still didn't work.
I wonder if the problem is with downloading iTunes Plug songs?

Server will not connect to itunes, app store, google drive, etc.

MacBook Pro, mid 2012, running Yosemite. I posted here because these problems started after upgrading to Yosemite, so maybe it's specific to that, not sure.
I seem to have a few interlinked problems. I solved a problem with kernel_task taking over 100% CPU usage and preventing an internet connection by getting rid of my Norton/Symantec security suite as well as TunnelBear. However, there seems to be a residual problem, as nothing seems to be connecting to the server.
I can surf the Internet no problem; it's things like iTunes (which crashes every time I try to open it), the App Store (which is a grey slate saying "cannot connect to app store"), and Google Drive (which doesn't sync) that are having connection issues.
I actually first noticed this problem after downloading Pacifist to extract the 'coreaudiod' launch daemon (which got destroyed in one of my previous fixes, long story), but it won't work until I can connect to the App Store and get a Mac OS X installer.
I am self-teaching as I go here, so I don't know much about this (and don't have any Mac tech support where I am unfortunately) and could use the help.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.

Will there be an iTunes U app for the mac?

I am considering ditching my Ipad for a MacBook Air with the extended battery life. With Mavericks coming, most everything I can do on the Ipad, I will be able to do on the Mac...with the exception of handwriting (which I can do without) and Itunes U. Itunes U is great and I would like the functionality of the app on my Mac. Will that ever be coming?

....or maybe there never will be. Repairs are not done by Apple in NZ as there's no store. This makes replacement the only official option - which is far more expensive than repair. I think NZ can support one store...?

I have an active internet connection, and I am using the most current version of itunes but it will not connect to the store. This just started happening recently. I get a message that says: "itunes could not connect to the itunes store. Network connection timed out."

I live in Jersey, Channel Islands and I am trying to create a music store account.
However, I am getting an error message after I submit my details: "The iTunes Music Store is not available in your region"
My ID shows the country as UK.
Can anyone help?

Sorry, but there is no iTunes Music Store for the Channel Islands. Though the Channel Islands are nominally under the auspices of the UK, legally they're separate entities, so the UK licenses for the iTunes Music Store don't apply and the record companies will prevent Apple from allowing you to purchase. Unless you have a legal residence in the UK (or some other country) and have a credit card with a billing address in that country, then you're out of luck, at least for now.

Is there a way to create a link to the iTunes music store from a web page made in iWeb. I'd like to make a list of songs, and link each one to the song on the music store.

Sure, you can link your own music .mp3 files this way...but it doesn't go directly to your music library. What you would do is to have a copy of your music file saved to the desktop. Then make a link to file (one of the options in the Inspector Hyperlink tab) to this music file. When you publish your page, a copy of the music file will be uploaded to your site as well...so that people clicking on the link that you made can download the file.
You can also drag in your music file to iWeb and use QT to play the music file on your webpage.

When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

yes there is no way to disable this icons, and the only way to do this is to put a password on your wireless router settings, this way they don't know the password and that they can not access the safari, youtube, and the wi-fi itunes music store.

TS1292 I enter my redemption code and it says there is a itunes store error..

To change the iPhone iTunes login name on your phone you tap Settings >> General >> Reset >> Reset all settings.
from there go to the app store on your iPhone and select an app to download and when you go to download it, it will allow you to imput a new username and password.
