Will there be charging to my local phone bill?
I signed up for the unlimited call package to call landlines/mobiles. So is the connection fee still applicable? And will there be any charge to my local phone bill. As I see no decrease of the minutes usage from my phone bill after I start to use Skype to call landlines/mobiles.
iMessage uses DATA, not SMS/MMS services.
What can and does happen, is if for some reason the data has any issues, the messages will and can be sent as an iMessage AND SMS message, showing up on your bill.
I often get duplicate messages - sent (received on my end) as Text and iMessage.
Sprint, like all carrier reps, don't usually know much about what they're talking about.
Here's a test: turn off cellular data, connect to WiFi, and send some iMessages. Mark the date and time the messages were sent. Check your bill. There will not be any SMS charges showing on the bill, since iMessages were sent as data, not SMS/MMS.

If you only use WiFi, you will not be charged by your carrier. Make sure that: Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data>Off & Data Roaming>Off. You could also put your phone in Airplane Mode. In Airplane Mode you can go back into settings & turn WiFi on.

Thanks!!There still won't be a charge, FaceTime calls can only take place over wifi so there won't be any mobile charge to either you or the recipient. The only charge is what your internet service provider charges you for your wifi/broadband connection

How can I make the app store charge purchases to my phone bill?
I just switched from an android to an iPhone. In the android market it gives you the option of charging app purchases to your billing account, but I can't seem to find that option on iPhone, it only let's you pay through credit card. Is there any way I can change the settings so that it charges to my bill instead of me having to enter the credit card information?

Yes, Apple plans on creating a new iPod without the phone features. The newly planned iPod, secretly codenamed the CuisinartPod by Apple, will will also serve as a food processor, with interchangable blades for convenient chopping and mincing. This new iPod will also be dishwasher safe.

Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

I have a similar question, I used the Skype to Go number from my O2 mobile and the network charged me for each of the calls even though I have unlimited landline package. They said they don't consider the access number as a landline, can you please advise on this.

i think the battery on my iphone 4s is broken, my phone was taking hours to charge and now it wont charge at all, my phone has been dead for the past 3 days. would my local apple store be able to replace it for me? if so will there be a cost? my phone is 2 years old but in good condition. it is pay as you go. at first i thought my charger was broke, so i bought a new one. but it is definetly my phone battery.

Will there be some extra goodies on Lightroom CD?
I just ordered my Lightroom box to the local apple shop (yes, I love when they ask me why I don't want Aperture... *LOL*), but I cannot find anywhere any piece of news about extra CD contents. Will there be any?
BTW, local store priced it 185 euro + VAT, i.e. 222 euro VAT included. It's about 13 euro more than online store, but with shipping the gap reduces to crumbs. Do any of you have a bargain price?Shameless plug.

I am going out of the country tomorrow and was wondering if I turn off roaming will it work or will I be getting a nice big phone bill ? I have heard of some people getting charged with a lot and others turn airplay mode on but don't recieve messages when they are connected to wifi or when they turn airplay mode off. Help please ?

Not if it is truly an iMessage - to/from another Apple device using the iMessage technology.
If it is an SMS or MMS message, that is a cellular text message, and yes, it would show up as part of your cellular carrier's service. -

I always do my Rentals with the itunes program on the computer.
Make rental from itunes store. It will show in movies under library, DO NOT click to play it. Plug in the device to the computer. Click the name of the device on left. Click on movies. There is an option to copy to the device. Sync. obviously you still need space on ipad to put rental but you can have it take computers hard drive space until you need it. -

The wifi will work just fine. There will be no charge for accessing your email from across the pond the only fee could potentially be for wifi access. The few trips I have taken to Europe I found some of the hotels charge for Internet access. Your charger that came with your iPad accepts 110-220 volts (220 is used in Europe ). All you will need is an plug adaptor for your charger and you will be good to go. You can buy the appropriate plug adaptor at any electronics store for a few $. Don't let them talk you into a transformer to change the voltage unless you will be bringing other plug in items that don't accept 220v.
One thing to be careful of is if you have a cell phone turn it off or put it into airplane mode and just turn on the wifi. Data roaming from Europe could easily cost you more that the plane tickets.

I am going to India. ATT says phone is unlocked. Can I use local SIM card to use my i phone5? Will there be any compatibility problem.
If AT&T authorized your unlock, you received the email from them giving you instructions to unlock and you followed those instructions, followed by a message in iTunes saying Congratulations, your iPhone is now unlocked, then you will have no issues using a local SIM. However, your warranty is only good in the US, and it may not support all of the bands in India, especially LTE.
