Will there be problems installing LabVIEW 7.1 if I upgrade to Windows XP?

We have a program in LabVIEW 7.1 running on Windows 2000.  We plan to upgrade all of our computers to Windows XP.  Will there be any problems installing LabVIEW 7.1 onto Windows XP?

Hi,
No, you won't experience any problems with that upgrade.  LabVIEW 7.1 is fully compatible on Windows XP, just as it is on Windows 2000.

Problems Installing LabVIEW Run-Time Engine for Ubuntu 11.04
I'm relatively new to Ubuntu and its community, but have been pleasantly surprised with how easy troubleshooting has been. Unfortunately, I've spent the last two days trying to install the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine, but keep coming up short.
I've tried a number methods from the following threads to no avail:
The problem I'm having now is that despite having the ia32-libs, here is what comes up:
    Input: "sudo alien - k --scripts labview-2009-rte-9.0.1-1.i386.rpm"
Response: "labview-2009-rte-9.0.1-1.i386.rpm is for architecture i386; the package cannot be built on this system".
Alien is required because Ubuntu isn't compatible with the .rpm format.
Your help would be immensely appreciated since we use LabVIEW programs to display, manipulate and simulate our spectra.

Hey there I'm not too familiar with Ubuntu but you may find some help in the following areas:  Linux Users is a group that helps out other linux users.   Also  labview for linux (Ubuntu 64-bit) my help, people were having a pretty active discussion in there.
I'm guessing you're using the installer from here: LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2011 -Linux?

There is something Definitely wrong with iOS 7 regarding DATA USAGE being logged to wireless carrier in for WIFI instead.
I read all the previous replies and same issue.
I rarely use my mac to sync....its all wifi sync for the last 2 years....never had this issue before... and i know it began with iOS7.... here is why....
My iPhone was at home when I updated to iOS7 connected to wifi...but it logged Data Usage to Rogers Wireless (700MB approx)...data will never do an update over 50mb in app store (it gives the warning to use wifi) I play a lot of games and pay for them so I always update through App Store.  2 weeks later, simposons halloween update (650mb)...at home, using wifi.
Rogers told me there was 700+mb data usage on the day of update and 650+mb data on oct 1.st (tapped out).
Went over my 6GB plan and paid the fees.
This has never happened before...It must come to apples attention by now...

I installed the latest Win7 and Win8 drivers and the camera appears for Skype and in Device Manager as Integrated Camera under Imaging Devices, but does not appear in Devices and Printers. There is no VEN DEV ID property for the device. haha, so now i'm thinking. I'm learning the terminal as fast as i can but there are several lines of codes and commands in there that throws up red flags to me that i don't fully understand. It just looks fishy too me. It would be highly appreciated if someone could just check this out just to tell me that i don't need to worry about it. Or point me in the right direction. I just feel un easy about this. ha.

  • Elements 11 will not print to my epson stylus r1800 printer after upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1

Elements 11 will not print to my Epson stylus r1800 printer after upgrading to windows 8.1 from windows 8

I cant access any printers, not even the virtual printers.
What I would do is use ProcMon to find out why that Event entry was written.  Then I imagine I would get a clue about a .dll which might be involved, which hopefully might be registerable.  Since IE9 there have been new .dll  involving printing
which have not been reflected in any of our repair tools.  However, instead of modifying our old scripts to reflect this fact, I have been advocating, so far unsuccessfully, that Microsoft create a proper IE Repair tool, one which does not rely on such
unreliable techniques.   E.g. a better method of repairing would be to have it done by a proper troubleshooter (an .msdt file) but so far it seems nothing has been done in that way for these symptoms (again, assuming the cause is registry corruption
and not simple interference from now incompatible third-party programming--the fix for that would be to identify and remove the incompatibilities.)   For example.

  • Will there be problems distributing H.264 videos to PC users?

I occasionally film events performed by a charitable organisation.
Families who have participated in these events obviously would like copies
However, mass-producing DVDs for distribution is not a practical proposition.
Uploading the videos to my Digital Vault for people to download would appear to be the perfect solution as it is quicker than Vimeo etc. and there is no reduction of quality and file sizes.
I know this will work perfectly for people using  Macs but are PC users likely to experience any problems? I don't want to go to the trouble of uploading only to discover that most people can't use them.
The videos will be H.264, AAC, 854x480 with a data rate of around 2,000kbps.

My Digital Vault is simply a storage space on the internet, so the idea would be for them to download the files so that they could watch them at leisure on their PCs or even view them on TV via something like the Western Digital HDTV device.
It sounds as though they could download and watch the videos as long as they have iTunes installed.
Is that free for PC users and would they have any problems installing it  .  .  .  .  .  assuming their computers are not too old?

  • Problem Installing LabView

I am trying to install LabView ver. 8.5 for the first time.  The installation procedure is telling me to put in the disk labeled National Instruments Device Drivers - August 2008 Disk 2.  However I do not have a disk with that name.
I have 4 DVDs, three are labeled NI Developers Suite (disks 1-3) and the other is labeled NI Device Drivers Third Quarter 2008.  However, that disk doesn't make the install process happy.  How can I fix this??

    Hi Rich,
You're not the first to run into this.  If you insert DVD 4 you can point the installer to the directory named "DCD-Aug08-2" and it should be happy.   It'll almost definitely ask for additional driver discs, but they'll be on DVD 4 every time.
    I hope it helps...

  • Problem Installing Oracle Client 11g R2 64 bit on Windows 7 Enterprise 64

    Hi,
I am having problems installing the Oracle Client 11g R2 64 bit installation on my Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise machine. The installer does all the checks successfully, it gets me to summary screen and I press finish to start the installation. It then opens the installation mask where it first says Checking whether Central Inventory is locked by another OUI session. After that it very briefly shows Central Inventory is not locked and then the window immediately dissapears with no other errors. I tried installing at my colleague's W7 Enterprise 64 machine and it behaves a little differently but with the same result. Basically on his machine it never even opens the Install mask, when pressing finish from the Summary it just disappears and never starts installation. I tried installing 11g R1 and that loads the first mask and when i press next it just dissapears. I basically need an oracle client 64 bit installation on my machine deperately. Please help. Thanks
    Alex

One user above reported installing the 64 bit odbc drivers and then the 32 bit drivers. How did you do that? I'm a neophyte to this.
I'm trying to get a 32 bit ODBC oracle driver to work on a server 2008 R2 machine. I downloaded the 11gR2 x64 client from oracle. The install process makes no mention of 32bit vs 64bit installation. After running the instalation I can run the ODBC administrator and generate a DSN for oracle. When I run the 32 ODBC administrator there is no oracle driver available except the microsoft driver for oracle. When I select that it says that I need to install oracle.
I had at first tried to install 11g instant client. However that didn't work for the 2008 R2 machine. It complained about some registry error when I tried to run the ODBC install program. I need to get it to work for a customer asap.

  • Installing LabVIEW DSC 8.6 Run Time on Windows XP Embedded flash memory

I'm trying to install LabVIEW DSC 8.6 Run Time on an embedded PC running Windows XP Embedded. This has a small local disk (c), so I would like to install DSC Run Time on a secondary flash memory drive (d). The installer tells me that I don't have enough free space on drive c, but I cannot browse to select drive d. What do I need to do to get this installed?
    Thanks,
    Josh

The DSC module can't easily be installed to external flash memory. You'll want to move any extra data onto the flash drive to free up space on the internal memory for installing the DSC module.

  • PROBLEM INSTALLING ITUNES 11.1.2.32 IN MY WINDOWS 8(64-BIT) LAPTOP

whenever i try to install itunes 11.1.2.32 in my windows 8(64-bit processor) dell laptop, it says that it's not compatible with this version of windows, whereas while downloading it says that the app is windows 8 compatible?????????????????

You are lucky to get an error message - all i get, at the end of the automatic or manual version of installing 11.0.2x64 is that it is rolling back. no explanation. I can't see any explanation on the web.and I am just coming to the conclusion that the qual;ity control at Apple died with Steve Jobs. The current issues with both our iPhone 5 and the environment include : random syncing and unsyncing of tones; losing of associations between ringtone and caller; podcasts just playing the first thirty seconds over and over again; iTunes says it can't back up the phone to the computer (no explanation); iTunes can't back up to the iCloud; having integrated Outlook and iCloud, iCloud made Outlook virtually unusable.

I got the same issue with Windows XP then sometimes the same exe worked. But I tried the other way, you have one more setup file in install directory. Try to run that and see. It may be silly but it worked.

  • Will my F-Secure security product keep working when I upgrade to Windows 10?

QuestionWill my F-Secure security product keep working when I upgrade to Windows 10?
AnswerYes. All supported versions (12.1 or newer) of F-Secure security products are automatically migrated when you upgrade from Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. However, there are two conditions that may result in Windows 10 to remove your F-Secure application:
If you are upgrading from Windows Vista or earlier to Windows 10, all applications are removed. You will then need to reinstall your F-Secure security product manually after the upgrade.
If you are upgrading from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1, F-Secure security product might get removed depending if you do not have the supported version of F-Secure installed. You will then need to reinstall your F-Secure security product manually after the upgrade.
Note: Make sure that you download the latest version of our product when reinstalling the product on Windows 10.

You will likely find that drivers are not readily available for Windows 10 on HP site. When Windows 8 was released it was a slow process rolling out drivers and many early adopters were not happy. I agree with  -wait for a few months at least. Check your models support page for release of Win 10 drivers also before deciding.
