Will there be some kind of upgrade of recent MBP trackpad to new cool one?

I just bought a 2.6 Ghz top of the line MacBookPro but it didn't have the new very cool trackpad that the newest ones have Anyone from Apple reading this or any knowledgeable person: Is there any plan to issue some kind of upgrade that will enable my almost new trackpad to do the cool iPhone-like things? You are very kind to answer me. The answer is very frustrating, though I know it is Apple's fault and not yours. I didn't buy it from Apple so naturally they have to penalize me - fourteen days is not really fair for such a major upgrade, don't you think? Anyway, thanks again for your kindness in answering, though I feel gipped by Apple for buying their top of the line laptop - an awful feeling.

Also, I had to install the software twice on my same computer before because I had to reboot the computer. I don't know if this affects the limit.

You are allowed to have two activated installations so there should not be a problem having working installations on the two machines. If by chance you have somehow tied up two activations for the one machine you can have Adobe support help resolve that thru chat.

What adapter are you talking about? The power adapter or some other adapter? If the power adapter are you sure it's a genuine Apple product? There have been recent reports of defective third party adapters causing injury. By third party I mean the cheap ones you find at a kiosk in a mall or at a dollart store. They can be dangerous.

I just ordered my Lightroom box to the local apple shop (yes, I love when they ask me why I don't want Aperture... *LOL*), but I cannot find anywhere any piece of news about extra CD contents. Will there be any?
BTW, local store priced it 185 euro + VAT, i.e. 222 euro VAT included. It's about 13 euro more than online store, but with shipping the gap reduces to crumbs. Do any of you have a bargain price?

I deleted the extra boot partition, will there be any problems with upgrading to Lion 10.7.2?

I have a Macbook 5,2, with a triple boot setup including Lion, Windows 7, and Ubuntu, managed by rEFIt. After upgrading from Snow Leopard, the Lion installer created a "boot partition" before my Windows partition, screwing up my mbr/gpt sync and making me unable to boot into the other operating systems. After many tries at other fixes, I deleted the boot partition after first copying its contents to an external HFS+ partition, and resized my Lion partition to include that space (although there is still a few hundred megabytes separating Lion and Windows).
Since the 10.7.2 release notes specifically mention changes to how the boot partition is accessed, I wanted to make sure, before upgrading, that it will not once again wreak havoc on my partition scheme by installing another boot partition or trying to modify the Windows partition thinking it is the missing boot partition. I think I read somewhere that in certain multi-boot setups, the Lion installer did not add the boot partition specifically to avoid the problems I was having; how do I make sure that I do not have them again?

You shouldn't have any issues, since Parallels v9 is the current version. You might want to visit the Parallels support forums to see if users there are aware of any issues. I know I upgraded my MBP from Mountain Lion to Mavericks and I had no issues with my Parallels v8. A short while after the update to Mavericks, I did upgrade my Parallels to v9, but I wasn't really having any problems on v8 either.

At start up, I get the background picture and there is some kind of audio. Can't access anything. Help?

My Mac Pro was running slow, and finally wouldn't wake up from the screen saver, necessitating a hard reboot. Now, I only get the starry background picture with no icons. An audio program comes on for awhile, and then it goes silent. Is there a combination of keys I can press or something else I can do to get the icons back?

I fixed it myself. It had something to do with my TV connected as a second display. All of the icons were there. Fixed it by selecting mirror displays.
