Will there be Wacom stylus support?

I know this has addressed in other places on this forum, but now that we know Adobe is officially no longer supporting Ideas, I felt compelled to add that the support of additional Styli is critical. I have held off on changing my workflow from Ideas to Draw mainly due to this fact.
I really want to make the transition to Draw, other bugs in the program aside. But not supporting even the Wacom ICS1, which was supported by Ideas, is a deal-breaker.

I totally agree with darenwoodward . Now that Ideas is being dropped, Draw needs to support more pressure sensitive styluses. I know Adobe was hoping that everyone would just trash their current stylus and run out and buy an Ink and Slide. But at $200, that's not a reasonable expectation. Especially considering that the Ink and Slide is exactly the kind of hardware one would expect from a software company. Honestly Adobe, you really didn't think this all the way through did you?

  • Will there be future database support of mySQL and php 5.5 on the dreamweaver CC?

Will there be future support of mySQL and php 5.5 on the dreamweaver CC? I have seen various topics on this, and havent seen any answers on this as of yet. I feel it is very important to have this available, and not from some external company as an addon or something. I come from cs6 products, and am debating whether or not I should even join the creative cloud, or participate any further with Adobe products.
I have been a fan of Adobe for quite some time. However, if there isn't going to be any database tools within DW, I may decide to pass on the CC and comepletely hand code it all from now on.
Has anyone found yes or no answer to this yet? I am assuming there is no news yet, as the adobe posts I have read have no additional info other than they haven't updated the tools, thus removing them from CC.

I very much doubt that any future addition of DW will include any 'official' support for mySql database interactivity. CC hide the server behaviours this time around in an extention to be activated by the individual, its still available in CC but at the users own disgression, mySql is dead. You should be connecting and querying your databases using other methods like mySqli. Adobe have seen it fit to go in other directions and dispite the outcry of dropping the server behaviours there has been a deafening silence from Adobe. From that you can take it they think it is no longer an important part of their software package.

I have not updated to CC because it contains zero that would be of importance to my workflow. The more experienced a code writer you are the less DW has to offer. Any serious code writer would not miss DW if it went out of business. Fireworks is more important to me which LOL is going out of business...go figure. I think the Adone execs are screwed up snorting cocaine or something. I'm not really even sure why I use DW, maybe out of habit.
Certainly hand coding for database connectivity and querying is the ONLY way to go if you are not interested in third party extentions because continuing to use the current available server behaviours is a backwards step. I don't know how good these third party extentions are because there has never been a lot of talk about them around here which leads me to believe not many are considering them, maybe.

  • Will there EVER be JPEG2000 support??? Or have you completely given up on that?

I know this has been asked a lot, and I also know that it says in the FAQ that it's currently not available, but that you'll try to add it with the next edition. The only problem is... YOU'VE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR 3 YEARS!! Surely that's a decent amount of time
Now I don't know about other people, but I for one baught an eBook (yes, 3 years ago) that consists mostly of JPEG2000 image files. Now the part that really sucks is that I cannot open the file in any other program (Reader, Acrobat or even Photoshop) or extract the image files because of the DRM apparently, and I can't even decrypt it because the image files get either broken or it simply wont work because the file has been created with "'eBook Exchange (EBX_Handler) 128-bit security v.3' encryption handler." All I want to do is look at my 3-year-old magazine!
If the product doesn't support JPEG2000, then why force me to use it?
This is a real disappointment. One should think that there would have been some progress in that amount of time...
    Or is there?

It seems that the 1.8 preview now has proper JPEG2000 support. Tested with 2 ebooks. Look forward when it reaches feature-parity with 1.7
    Cheers.

  • When will there be ACR/LR support for Nikon D300 and D3?

    Sorry, could not resist.

ACR/LR are hardwired to be unable to support any Nikon camera that has a "3" in the name. It would take a massive rewrite of the code to circumvent this limitation.

  • Will there ever be video support for the iphone?

even the most basic cell phones have video capturing features

It isn't embarrassing to Apple in the least. It is embarrassing for someone to purchase a device that doesn't meet their needs or what is a want in this case, and then whine and complain about it. "This is embarrassing to Apple but I purchased one anyway." How dumb is that?
Apple is taking their "embarrassment" to the bank.
Apple made a choice not to include video capture and you can exercise your choice not to purchase one if it doesn't meet your needs and wants or sell it if you already have one and get a device that does. You have plenty of other devices to choose from that include mediocre at best video quality but you chose the one that doesn't - shrewd. Apple may never add this function and then what will you do? If I needed or wanted this function, the iPhone is the last device I would buy.

  • Will there be any Eucon support in the future?

    Hey,
I don't know if the question is allready asked, I didn't found anything in the forum.
I'm using an Artist Color by Avid, former Euphonix and it would be nice if I can use it in Speedgrade in the future.
    Does anybody know any further?
    Thanks,
    MN

I'd suggest using the standard Adobe wish/request/bug-report form ... and asking for it. You can find the address on the Overview page for all the Adobe forums, in the header above the list of "discussions".

  • Will future version of ADF support JSF 2.0

    Hi,
I find Apache Trinidad 2.0-alpha have be released for a long time. Will Oracle introduce JSF 2.0 into ADF? Does anyone know the timeframe? Some features of JSF 2.0 such as CDI, RESTful navigation and EL 2.2 are very attractive to us.
    Thanks,

    Hi Shay,
one of my customers is about to migrate their ADF 10.1.3.x application to ADF 11g.
They will probably follow the trinidad path, and from there on a step by step basis convert their application to ADF Taskflows and ADF Faces Rich Client.
You state that there will be JSF 20 support in the next major ADF release. Will there also be a supported migration path from the current JSF 12 ADF 11g release to the JSF 20 release ?
And do you perhaps want to share your opinion (Feel free to use the disclaimer) on wether or not the customer should wait with adopting ADF Faces Rich Client untill the JSF20 support is there ?
    Thanks for your answers.

  • Will Wacom Stylus work with iPhone?

So I ask this out of curiosity. I do realize that drawing on a iPhone screen is pretty impractical but I mainly ask this out of curiosity, also seeing how Apple's iPhone 6 plus screen size is immensely bigger than the iPhone 5s there maybe (Again I realize even a 5.5 inch screen is still pretty impractical to draw on.) a chance that an app supports that stylus on the iPhone.

think the answer is NO --
the three Wacom stylus only work with iPads because:
"it requires Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy support in order to provide pressure and button data to the API. That limits the devices that support this functionality to the iPad with Retina Display (iPad 3) introduced in 2012 and subsequent tablets. We are currently supporting only iOS 6.1 and higher."
    Supported iPads:
    iPad 3
    iPad 4
    iPad Air
    iPad Mini

My current Camera Raw 5.7 for Photoshop CS4 Extended does not support Canon EOS 6D. What can I do? Will there be a Photoshop Camera RAW for that?

You would need Camera Raw 7.3 or later to open those files. Adobe is not going to update CS4. You can either get a newer version of Photoshop that comes with a current version of Camera Raw, or you can use the DNG converter to save your files down to the ACR version that works with CS4.

  • Premiere CS6 not supporting AVC-G25/50P will there be an update for that?

    Good morning Adobe,
I own a Panasonic AJ-PX270 with the P2 content format. I filmed using the AVC-G25/50P format, but that is not supported when i want to import the file structure into my Premiere CS6 it gives me a standard error.
Does anyone know what file format i have to use in my sequence to get this imported?
Will there be an update for this?
I have also asked Panasonic to provide me a solution, haven't heard from them.
Perhaps someone knows how i can convert the files into another file format outside of premiere?
    thank you very much!

Yes, it's Java update 16 for Mac OS 10.6 that broke lots of stuff.  The 51 comes from it updating Java to 1.6_51.  There is an update to the update for 10.7 and up posted, but is there one for 10.6?
UPDATE:  Never mind.  If you go to the download page for Java update 16, it appears that it has been silently updated.  Although there isn't any indication of the fact that it has been fixed, the build number is different (20.51-b01-457 instead of -456).

  • Will there be support in CS4 for the JVC GY-HM700 files?

will there be support in CS4 for the JVC GY-HM700 files? Of course without rendering neccessary?

I own a HM100, which uses the same EX1 codec.  The difference is the HM100 allows you to choose between a MOV and MP4 wrapper.  The MP4 wrapper works great in Premiere CS3 and CS4.(just like the EX1)
The HM700 in stock configuration, only saves in the MOV wrapper, which does not work with CS4.  You have to buy the Available with optional SxS Media Recorder to have the HM700 save in .MP4.
Now there is a codec you can buy - it is not free- that allows you to view the MOV files.  I am not sure that will make it work with CS4.

  • I will soon be purchasing a new PC running Windows 7. I need to know how to migrate my iTunes Library and apple devices to the PC. Is there a previously published support document on this topic? Thank You.

I will soon be purchasing a new PC running Windows 7. I need to know how to migrate my iTunes Library and apple devices to the PC. Is there a previously published support document on this topic? Thank You.

Connect a blank powered external drive to the PC.
Right click on the Disk in the File manager and choose format: exFAT
(if it's a XP machine, first install exFAT from Microsoft and reboot)
navigate to your user account folders on the PC and drag and drop copy (or copy and paste) to the external drive.
(if a program has your files, then export them out first)
Hook up the drive to the Mac, and transfer files to the desktop or to their same appropritate folders.
Import photo's into iPhoto program, import music into iTunes etc and they will manage those files.
You can continue to use the external exFAT drive between Mac's and PC's
Do not format the drive NTFS or FAT, NTFS can't be written too by the Mac and FAT can't hold over 4GB sized files.
If you format exFAT on the Mac, it likely won't work correctly on the  PC.
"Migration" type programs are a utter waste of time and effort between PC's and Mac's for the fact that only certain files (and no programs or anything else) will work between them, also it's a hassle and takes too long. So don't even bother with it.
