Will these programmes work on MacBook?

Yeah well there are only a couple more thing's I want to know before purchasing my MacBook and one of them is wether or not some of the programmes I already have on my pc will work on the MacBook.
Adobe Photoshop
Flash
Flash Player
Dreamweaver
Mozilla Firefox
LimeWire
Does any body know if these programmes will work on the MacBook or will I have to get a different version or even find a substitute?

Adobe Photoshop
Flash
Flash Player
Dreamweaver
You can run all of these GREAT without using Bootcamp. Get Parallels, load XP in there and load the apps. I do this with Dreamweaver and it runs GREAT in Parallels.. then there's no need to reboot into windows.. you can run it as a virtual machine in OSX.
I'm not going to try and lecture you on your illegal copies of the apps but do me a favor and actually buy Parallels.. it's only like $40 and it'll encourage them to keeep up development (no I'm not associated with them).
Mozilla Firefox
LimeWire
You can get native versions of these two to run on the Intel Macs... actually I think Limewire doesn't have a native version, but the PPC version runs just fine under Rosetta.

  • Will Adobe CS6 work with MacBook Pro 4.1 on 10.6.8?

I know Adobe CS6 will work with 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, which I just upgraded to, but will it run on my Macbook Pro 4.1 (late 2008)? I'm currently on CS4....Thx

Thanks so much. A long time Mac addict (1984), I'm still not interested in some of the system profile gobbledygook like Open GLs and stuff. Happy New Year....

ALthough I strongly recommend at least 1 GB of RAM for iPhoto - it (according to the specs) will run with 512 MB but you will be much happier with more RAM - and you should always have a min of 10 GB of hard drive space available for general operation of your Mac

  • WAP4410N - Will these ever work properly?

I have owned one of these for about 2 years now, and have sold many of these to clients.  Luckily, none of them get used too much as they require constant rebooting, and it would appear as though all versions of the firmware are unreliable.  Some simply don't work, other work for a day or two at a time between reboots.
Does anyone have a solution to getting these to work properly?  When I say properly, I mean, you turn it on, configure it and then use it.  That's it.  No rebooting, not even once a year.
    Anyone?

I have 3 x WAP4410N and had lots of issues. Now they are stable. I think it's the settings below in BOLD that count.
But I did first reset the unit to factory settings; upgrade firmware; restart; and then enter all settings MANUALLY. All as per Cisco instructions. Do not just install the fw over the old fw; and do not import your settings. But I don't think any of this made any difference, but do it anyway for sure.
Here is my config. Anything not mentioned has not been enabled. Settings in BOLD are important I think - and are settings folks have mentioned that have solved issues for them. YMMV.

  • Will elements 11 work with Macbook Pro with Retina Display?

I am thinking of buying a Macbook Pro with Retina Display.
I am wondering if Photoshop Elements 11 will work OK with this as I have heard there is a problem.  Any suggestions of how to make them compatible would be appreciated.  I really don't need anything more complicated than elements for what I do so don't want to spend out on one of the CS programmes.
    Thanks

Yes, it will work like any other program that isn't optimized for the display (in other words, okay, but not as well as if it had been).

  • Will this ram work in macBook Pro

Will this work for my macbook pro? Will macbook pro support 4 Gig or ram?

MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

It will work fine, but as the other poster stated the price is high. You can purchase the same memory at DataMem for $126.00.
If you have a Core 2 Duo Mac you can install 4 GBs of RAM (two 2 GB DIMMS) but only 3 GBs will be usable. The remaining 1 GB resides in an address space currently used by the operating system and thus not available to the user.

  • Will Airport Extreme work with MacBook and PCs in a secure, wireless way?

Currently have a Netgear router that we use for wireless internet access.   It is not a secured router and it's time to get a better solution.   Will the Airport Extreme work easily and well with an HP laptop, HP Envy printer and my MacBook?

The Airport Extreme is compatible with all computers, even PCs and tablets and phones other than Apple too. You can easily manage/administrate the Airport Extreme and its network with your iPads and iPhone.

  • Will 20" Cinema work with MacBook?

I am looking at buying a used 20" Cinema Display and just read the specs on the Apple website. It does not list it as being compatible with the MacBook.
Is anyone using a Cinema with a MacBook? Do you need a seperate connector?
Also, I am moving from North America to Australia in around 8 months. For those that have purchased the Cinema displays, do you think it is worth buying for this amount of time (since I won't likely bring it with me on the move due to cost and fragility) or would it be better to go with a cheaper 19" or 20" from Acer and such? Seller is asking $650 after tax.
    Any thoughts welcome.
    Thanks

    ok, heres the scoop.
the specs do list the macbook as useable with an ACD. both the 20" and 23" work (im running the 23" with my macbook... works beautifully). the 30" does not work with the macbook, but does work with the macbook pro.
secondly, the specs of the ACD´s have been uprated by apple (though the exterior remains the same) and the list price new is 699 against your used offer of 650. so to me, if you want to get an ACD, get a new one, the specs are likely to be better and its guaranteed.
finally, i have to say, i wouldnt want to be without my ACd. its a super piece of kit!!!
    good luck.

  • Will these programs work?

I started using Google Sketchup (3D modeling) and MeshCAM (CNC Machining) programs on my windows pc, and I have been looking at getting the macbook air, should these programs run alright on the 1.86GHz MBA?

    Hello vLNpLYR2010!
If you are looking at running programs like that on a Mac, you should chose a more powerful Mac like a MacBook or and iMac. Both cost less at their starting price than a MacBook Air.
    Hope this helps!

  • Will these apps work in 10.4?

Hello all. I've done some searching, and have not found definate answers on this... I am looking to upgrade from 10.3.x to 10.4. I am wondering if anybody has firsthand knowledge of the following apps. working in 10.4?
    Photoshop 7
    HCP HD 4.5
    After Effects 5.5.1
    DVD Studio Pro 3.0.2
    Microsoft Office X
    Any help is appreciated.

Depends on circumstances, for example: SOME PowerMac G5 models feature newer PCI Express video cards.
Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 requires a computer with an AGP video card for installation.
DVD Studio Pro 3.x requires a computer with an AGP video card also.

  • Will these speakers work?

I have my Mac Pro coming soon, but my question is, I have some of those small clear plastic apple ball speakers from a previous G4 mac. Can I use these speakers with my new mac pro? or should I just put them on ebay and recoup some cash for more RAM?
    Thanks
    Lee

Those speakers need a special digital output that was on some Power Mac G4s and G5 iMacs. They are going for $30 on eBay, which won't buy many bytes of Mac Pro RAM. Why not just include them with the G4 you are replacing.
