Will they be fixed? Curious...

There are so many issues with the iOS4 update on all iphones & I am wondering if apple are going to work on fixing these issues? ALL of them, there are many random ones LOL
Apple seems to be very quiet about things so far & I'm curious to know if they're working on all these issues everyone is having or if they're being ignored & ridden off as being our problem, not theres?
Has anyone heard anything about this or any future updates to fix the current issues.

Did I say everyone is having the same issues as me?... No.
No, you said this.
Apple seems to be very quiet about things so far & *I'm curious to know if they're working on all these issues _everyone is having_*
And I asked this question.
+*How do you know everyone is having the same issues* or the same issues you are having whatever they are?+
Since reading this forum I am aware of the many various random issues people are actually having with the new update, which is why I asked if anyone know of any fixes that will be happening in the future.
This is a user to user help forum only for technical support issues and questions, so there will be nothing but problems reported here, which doesn't mean everyone is experiencing the same. When visiting a local hospital in your area that is full of patients, you don't leave thinking everyone in your area must be sick. The same applies here.
I was asking if anyone is aware of any updates, not who is having the same issues as me.
Which I answered. Since this is a user to user help forum only, no one here has any idea. If Apple plans on releasing a firmware update in the not too distant future and someone here is privileged to this info in advance, they aren't allowed to say until Apple makes an announcement, or until the firmware update is released. As in the past with all other iOS versions, I'm sure Apple is working on an update - it is an ongoing process. When one firmware update is released, the next update is already being worked on.

Annoyed with Final Cut Pro JVC import problem; will they ever fix this?
I've shot footage on JVC GY-HD111E in the UK in 720p/25p PAL mode.
I'm trying to import lots of short clips (average 10 seconds) into Final Cut Pro (latest version with 720p/25p support) with a new Mac Pro maxed out with ram and 3 extra internal HDs.
Problem is, on a scene-break i.e. pause/stop, Final Cut detects this and creates a new clip, but it takes about 5 seconds to 'searching for media" before it starts the new clip. Because some clips are only very short, this 5 second delay sometimes means I only get the final few frames of a clip, rather than the entire 5 seconds or so of it.
JVC UK are blaming Apple and are saying it is up to them to fix it as Premiere and Edius does not have this problem.
However, Symbiosis in the UK (who do HD-Connect box) say that the JVC ProHD cameras do not wrap the shots up properly at the end, they are kind of left open and this creates problems on scene-breaks.
I've tried turning off the "create new clip on timecode break" etc, but it does not make any difference, when I do this it simply quits capturing on a scene break. Besides I have about 300 cutaways like this and I don't want to spend the rest of the year breaking them up on the timeline as this would be a futile and long workflow.
I'm importing and working on a native HDV 720p/25p timeline and this is the way I want to work. I've already imported and edited 4 hours of footage, but these 4 hours were easy as all 4 tapes had no start/stop points, they were recorded continuously from beginning to end of tape for 64 minutes each time so importing was no problem; 1 clip per tape.
But now I've come to my 5 tapes containing hundreds of cutaways I'm kind of screwed and need some advise on how I can import them natively in HDV without losing this 5 seconds off the beginning of each clip whilst FCP searches for the media each time.
I've been told this issue is definately with FCP, any ideas how I can get around this?

I haven't heard of this JVC/FCP problem, so I can't comment on it. However, whoever shot the cutaways didn't do you, the editor, any favors.
I've been doing video since 1984, and I've got to say, anyone who shoots a scene that is only 5 or 6 seconds long on tape is making a huge mistake, and it's been that way since the beginning of computerized editing in the late 70s.
Shoot at least 5 seconds of pre-roll before the shot begins, then roll tape for at least 5 seconds after you've got the shot. That's the protocol I've followed for 22 years now. Tape is cheap, edit suite time isn't.
But laying down only 5 to 6 seconds for a scene is wrong, IMO.

Are old posts like this that are full of embedded HTML eventually going to be normalized?
There are quite a few of them floating around--maybe people posting in from the news servers in the past?

I just asked John C. about this in regards to all the links in the Photoshop Lounge Resource Repository.

  • Iphone 4 home button not working, called never fixed, then cracked screen before bringing it back again, will they blame the cracked screen if i bring it back?

I bought an iPhone 4 less than a year ago, then one day the home button randomly stopped working, I bought the warranty so I decided to call in and see what was wrong with it. The girl said that restoring the phone would correct the problem which it did. But it is only a temporary fix, it happens more often now. So I was meaning to call in soon, but the other day my phone fell out of my pocket IN CASE from a foot height and cracked the screen. I nearly threw up. All the years I have had a phone I have never cracked or broken one, strongest screen my ***. Anyway, if I contact them again now will they fix the home button problem? or will they say that the cracked screen is obviously the cause of the home button not working? which it is not!! I don't care about the screen being cracked its not on the actual screen just on the side so its irrelevant to me. Plus I heard it is outrageosly pricey to replace.

Apple, as I said, does not repair your iPhone. All hardware service issues are handled by replacing the unit. So they can't handle the home-button issue without also addressing the issue of the cracked screen, for which they'll almost certainly charge you. But you can make an appointment at an Apple Store or call Apple tech support and plead your case.
    Regards.

  • Apple set my iCloud storage at $40 without asking or telling me. They won't let me contact them to fix that unless I pay for support. Nor will they let me downgrade. How do I talk to Apple?

Have you actually been charged? Did you convert from MobileMe?  If so, you'll be automatically put on that plan, but revert to the free one when your current one expires.

It is an Apple warranty and their customer service is excellent but make an appointment it will avoid a wait

  • If apple cant fix my iphone 4 will they replace it even if its not under warrenty?

I tryed to get my iphone screen fixed but they man suggested i bring it to apple because hes unable to fix it because he might break the modem? if apple cannot fix it will they replace it ?

If your phone was "serviced" by a non authorized entity, Apple will not touch your phone. You have voided your warranty (if any). And they will not offer you a out-of-warranty replacement.

  • I cracked my screen for my touch, it still works but the cracked is big and annoying . I'm still under warranty, will they fix it still?

I cracked my screen for my touch, it still works but the cracked is big and annoying . I'm still under warranty, will they fix it still?
It works fine. Some of my album covers are mixed up though, not sure its because of the fall. help me

It is very unlikely that Apple with replace your iPod under warranty since the warranty covers manufacturing and design defects. A crack screen is usually not caused by a defect.  You can alway make an appointment at ter Genius Bar of an Apple store and ask.

  • If you have a shattered screen and the lock button doesnt work, but you only tell the apple store about the lock button, will they give you a whole new phone, or just fix the button. Even if you still have warranty

I recently broke my lock button when it dropped, and wont work again, also i shattered my screen a while back, but it didnt bother me. Now that i want to get the button fixed, will the apple store only fix the button, or the whole phone. I still have 2 weeks of warranty left so it's not like they'd fix one thing and not the other when either way they'll both be free ya know?

They will not give you anything.
They wil either return the device as is or replace it at the out of warranty replacement cost.

  • If I don't have a warranty and my iphone 5c screen has an air bubble will they fix it ?

Why would your iPhone 5C not have a warranty? Has it sustained physical damage?

  • Cracked the screen on iphone 6 plus , will applecare plus give me a new device or will they try to fix it?

Today I dropped my Iphone by accident while riding my bike and the screen cracked.
I bought AppleCare+ and was wondering if they are going to give me a new device or will they try to fix it first?

The "screen" component comprises the digitizer, display with its illumination, the front camera and the earpiece speaker. So yeah, you're covered.
AC+ covers two "accidents" within its period, so you'll have just one left.

  • My iphone5's camera is not working. The shutter freezes each time. How much time it normally takes to fix it.(i have an appointment this week). and if they can't will they give me a new iphone5 ?

    Yes part of Apple Store
You will get a service replacement ,maybe new maybe refurbed to new standard
but in a "brown box" so no bits and pieces just unit for unit exchange
They will know of iPhone history from their systems but always
worth having proof of ownership but not essential (as far as I know )
