Will this display lag with MBP 13'' 2011 ?

The graphic power on the MBP isn't the greatest and just don't want any lag on a huge 27 inch display.

  • Will this RAM work with my early 2011 MBP?

I'll buy 2 of them, to double my MBP's memory - just checking whether they'd work. Also, has anyone got any experience in upgrading RAM?

Yes, that would work with your MB PRO.....you can upgrade up to 16GB...
It takes 10 minutes max to upgrade your memory...
just make sure you have a #00 Phillips screw driver....
10 screws in the back - 3 of them are long and 7 of them are short....remember where the long screws belong when you install them back in...
    good luck..

If you think you're insane now, try maintaining those pop up menus.
As far as I know, these menus have not been updated since FW 8, so
they are at least two versions old.
Save yourself a lot of grief by avoiding those menus. There are many
other products on the market which do a much better job of creating
and maintaining this type of navigation structure.
Read this link before you climb any higher on this slippery slope:

There was another blog post by the fellow who originally wrote the pop
up menu feature, but I can't seem to locate it. Even he says stay away
    from them.
Not the answer you probably want, but I hope it helps, nonetheless.

  • Can I connect my iPad mini to a data projector using a lightning to 30-pin adapter connected to a 30-pin to VGA connector? Or will this only work with a lightning to VGA connector.

Can I connect my iPad mini to a data projector using a lightning to 30-pin adapter connected to a 30-pin to VGA connector? Or will this only work with a lightning to VGA connector?

The lightning to 30 pin adapter does not support video as per the item description in the Apple online store:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter
This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Supports analog audio output, USB audio, as well as syncing and charging. Video output not supported.
You will need to the Lightning to VGA adapter directly
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter?fnode=3a
Or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter
If the projector supports HDMI input.

iPad requires Wifi (or 3G /LTE) to connect to the Internet. You cannot connect a USB modem to the iPad.
You can create your own WiFi hotspot through your computer for your iPad to connect to, if your computer supports this functionality. All Wifi Macs and many Wifi PCs do. Check your computer manual for how to do it.

I need to download dell drivers to a jumpdrive connected to my iMac.  Will this cause problems with my Mac?

Thanks.  These drivers are for the audio, etc. for a dell laptop I purchased used.  ( Needed something cheap for a training video that would only run on Windows.  Tried Emedia player but picture was too fuzzy.)  Dell support said I should contact Apple support for instructions on how to get the drivers onto the jumpdrive.  Any tips on doing that?

  • Will this be compatible with a HP ENVY H8 1520t?

Will this be compatible with a HP ENVY H8 1520t with the motherboard, and work! Mostly becuase i got a r9 270x and i hooked it up and i got no dysplay.

Card should work fine. Just disable secure boot before installing new card. Then again if the card is fully compatible with UEFI and system. You can just pop it in and it should fire up. Worst case it does not and you have to put old card back in. Then disable secure boot and put new card back in. Also. Since it is a CTO build. Power supply wise. If you picked the 460w or 600w psu. It will work just fine. The 300w though is completely out though.

    No.

my mobile me will also download my pop mail will this also happen with icloud?
When I read the information it seems to say it will then it won't

This facility is not available in iCloud. Before migrating you should turn it off in MobileMe as otherwise you may find it continues to operate in iCloud for a time (this is effectively a bug) with no way of turning it off since it isn't supposed to the there.

  • Page will not display properly with inline Frames

I have a html page that will not display properly in Dreamweaver. I have a basic understanding of html and want to be able to edit a website in Dreamweaver that was given to me. It looks fine in a browser, but in Dreamweaver some of the content is missing and displays the following message, "Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline Frames". I was able to open it without any problems using Microsoft Front Page, so is it possible to view and edit it in Dreamweaver?

Without seeing your page, I'm guessing that your page contains server-side includes, iframes and  scripts to other files on the server that populate page with content on the server's end.  You can't see it in DW because you don't have all the files in your DW local site folder.  You said this views fine in FP.  Was your page created in FP with FP proprietary tools?

  • Will this RAM work in MBP 15inch

Will this ram fit our 15 MBP bc this is another great deal
    http://www.frys.com/product/5468099

I tried using the memory finder on the Frys' site and the link to the Apple page errors out. Do you really want RAM from someone who can't keep an Apple RAM link working? I buy a lot of stuff from Fry's retail store but not RAM. Even in-store, they seldom have proper Mac memory charts.
Like SIG says, post more details about your machine to get better advice on finding the right RAM. The easiest way is to do "About this Mac..." and then click "More Info..." in the resulting window. You'll get the System Profiler screen; copy the info on the first screen and paste everything except your machine's serial number into a response. For example, doing that with my MBP gives this info:
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name: MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B05
    SMC Version: 1.16f10
    Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Someone can look at this and tell exactly which model you have and what RAM it takes.

  • Does anyone know if this HD works with a early 2011 MBP?

Looking to upgrade my internal HD on my early 2011 MBP. Before placing the order, would like to get some professional advice.
    The HD being considered is:
    SAMSUNG Spinpoint M9T ST2000LM003 2TB 5400 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive
Thanks in advance for all advice/inputs

Oh, sorry, I didn't note that I am planning on using logic 8 to attempt this. I don't have access to a machine with logic and pro tools installed to try it myself, else I would.

  • Odd power issue with MBP Early 2011 13"

    Greetings.
I have a MBP that will only boot when the Magsafe cable is attached AND the battery is removed or at less than 100%  - the power button is completely unresponsive.
The problem started with a failing battery that had swelled to the point of making the click pad unusable. Towards the end of the life of this battery the MBP would fail to hibernate if the battery ran out, and upon being rebooted the computer would have reset it's clock to December 2001 and have forgotten recent additions to passes in the keychain.
This battery eventually failed (I presume) - leading to a computer that was completely unresponsive to the power button. I removed the battery, which led to the first instance of the computer only booting when connected to a power source. If the computer (now without battery) was connected to a power source, (which in turn leads it to boot up), then turned off again, the only way to reboot the computer was to physically disconnect and reconnect the Magsafe adapter.
I ordered a replacement battery and installed it, the problem of booting only by connection to power persisted. A novel twist was that when the battery is fully charged and displaying a green light the MPB will not boot at all when the magsafe is connected - the battery must be removed or at below 100% charge.
During normal operation (such as now) the power button remains completely unresponsive. A short press will not bring up the option to shutdown / sleep my computer and a long press will not perform a hard shut down, as per normal operation.
I've attempted to reset the SMC following Apple's instructions (found here - Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) ) several times, to no effect, with the battery removed and with a working battery installed. Perhaps of note is that the times I've tried the SMC reset I've never experienced the LED on the Magsafe changing states or temporarily turning off.
Really stumped as to what's going on here - any takers?
    Cheers, Will.

    Perhaps also of note;
The majority of times the computer is safely turned off and then rebooted by reconnecting the Magsafe, I'm presented with a message telling me the computer's date is set to December 2001. The likelihood of this happening seems determined by how long the computer had been resting before being rebooted with the Magsafe.
Is this in anyway damaging the computer - should I be attempting to minimise how frequently I turn on the computer using this method?

  • Lots of internet lag with MBP

I have noticed that I'm getting tons of internet lag on my MBP 15". This is using a wireless connection with WEP through a DLink DI-614+ router. What usually happens is that every page I load in Safari will take awhile to get started, then will render itself at a normal pace.
What makes me think this is a Mac problem is that I am having zero problems with my Vista notebook running simultaneously.
What's more I don't remember having this problem upto the beginning of June (I was in a different country between now and then) - so perhaps it is related to an update since then?

Yes, looks like probably the same/similar thing as the above thread issues. In my case I'll mention that it has nothing to do with battery vs AC, and is reproducible every time.
Current solution - switched to boot camp and now working perfectly under XP ... .. hopefully Apple will fix this apparently fairly wide-spread issue soon.
Also on the assumption that it relates to the last update, which I think was not so long ago.. I don't think I can do an archive/install (or something like that..) because I don't have my setup disks in this country, and will have to wait until September to get them.
