I j upgraded from a fx 5900xt and I just purchased a msi nx6600gt-vid128 card( agp) . I have a p4 2.2 , 1gig rd ram and a 400 front side bus (p4 lexington motherboard). I have 2 questions
1) will this 8x card work okay on my 4x agp slot. The packaging says that the card requires a 8x compliant mainboard, but tech support say they are backward compitable to 4x agp slot. tOon newegg.com where i bought it is says it is a 4x/8x card. I am confused . my fx5900xt was a 8x card and worked on my 4x slot.
2)Is driver 71.89 okay to use with this card. I heard 77.72 has problems. what about 77.50 or 77.77 drivers

Spending $US500 to run anything but a High-performace Hard drive or Array makes no sense. If you have ONE modest speed device to run, look into the Ratoc Firewire to SCSI adapter:

Hi there!
You need to be sure that this card supports the broadcomm chipset, as this will allow the card to be recognized as an airport extreme device, otherwise you might have to hunt for a compatible driver for the mac.
You are better off with the G+ card from Belkin. The model of my card is a Belkin F5D7001 with the broadcomm chipset. You might have to do an in depth search to make sure that you find the right one.

I'm not sure- but it would appear that I'd have to buy a new power supply as well, since the factory one I think is only 265??? Which seems pretty low for a system with an Intel Dual Core, DVD burner, 500 gig HD & 4gigs of memory! Seems most PCI express gaming cards need atleast 300 watts-

No it has to be specifically HP compatible. HP blocks use of any but its white list of wireless cards in the BIOS so if you put in an unsupported card you get a message on bootup and can go no further.

There are two cards intended for the Airport slot on two different G4 MDD models, and they are not interchangeable -- the two types of slots are different.
Earlier model G4 MDD may only have the Airport slot that accepts the Original (802.11b 11 Mb/sec) Airport card. Later ones have the Airport slot for the Airport Extreme card.
But the card you cited is not an Airport-slot card at all, but a PCI slot card, so is not subject to this slot limitation. But it may have System requirements, such as Mac OS X 10.3 or later

It is unlikely that the power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop Computer. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.
There is a chance that the GTX 760 and other current generation video cards may not work in your computer. These newer cards typically require the computer to support the most current UEFI standards and many motherboards don't meet this criteria. Please know the return policy on any video card you purchase, in case it doesn't work. Radeon HD 5770 graphics card works perfectly with my MAC Pro 1,1 and Adobe CS6. However, Photoshop CC won't read the card drivers and says I need to reinstall them and disabled 3D funtions as a result. Anyone else with this issue?

Radeon HD 5770 graphics card works perfectly with my MAC Pro 1,1 and Adobe CS6. However, I upgraded to Adobe CC and Photoshop CC disabled some filters and 3D functionality. The preference panel for Performance/Graphics Card in Photoshop CC is greyed out and inaccessible and shows this message -
"Photoshop detected an error in your display driver. Update or reinstall the driver and check Use Graphics Processor to retry."
I still have Photoshop CS6 installed and it still works perfectly. Anyone else with this issue? Is there a driver update for this compatable with my setup?

after going round with this Adobe was able to find the fix....opened the "show content" folder for the application Photoshop CC (control click on the application folder) and navigate to the sniffer file and rename it by putting a tilda ~ in front of the name..." ~sniffer ", close and open PhotoshopCC...and voila, problem solved...
