Will this idea fix uploaded songs to matched status?

Hello,
According to Apple's own documentation about how different song formats are matched to the iCloud, is it true that if you:
Encode all songs that remain in "uploaded" status to either the: 1. WAV 2. ALAC 3. AIFF formats that you will then be able to refresh iTunes Match and get those songs into the more desired "matched" status? I haven't tried to do this yet and thought I'd ask you all to see if someone had success doing so.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the documentation I read stated that all songs uploaded in AAC or MP3 formats can either be matched or uploaded but songs sent to iTunes Match in one of the 3 formats I noted above will most likely be matched without trouble???

You've misread the documentation. Simply reimporting a track as a lossless file will not ensure the song is matched instead of being uploaded. If the song was uploaded as an AAC or MP3 chances are it will also be uploaded as a lossless file. Having said that there is no reason not to try. I wouldn't count on a different result, though.

understand why apple would change one of my favorite features. I use the notes feature to
capture quick ideas on the road and having it synched on my computer and my phone was very useful.
Previous blog posts elsewhere indicated this would be fixed in the latest rev of iOS, OSX and iTunes.
But alas after the recent update it's not. Really Annoying.

Then you won't be syncing your notes anymore.
Contacts and Calendars are the only things they restored.

Ith the latest upgrade of Firefox it is no longer compatible with talk talk will this get fixed ?

First and foremost, you should update to 3.6.17 because the version you're running at the moment is insecure and exposes your system to attack. Update via '''Help '''| '''Check For Updates'''.
That may even fix the problem since several minor bugs were also fixed in later versions.
Similarly, after updating, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those which are necessary.
If the problem persists, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.
I didn't experience a problem myself accessing any of those sites you mentioned. See screenshot.

Firefox 5.0 won't work with mcafee site advisor-will this be fixed soon?

When I downloaded firefox 5.0 it checks for incompatible add on etc. and it deleted mcafee site advisor which shows which web sites are safe to use. I went back to firefox 4.0 because it works with site advisor. I'd like to use the newest form of firefox, but want mcafee site advisor enabled. Will this be fixed?

IOS 5.1 - Photo Quality STILL broken! When will this be FIXED?

The update to iOS 5 broke something with ISO capability of the iPhone 4 camera. Flash pictures are fine, with proper ISO (check here if you don't know what ISO is http://www.photoxels.com/tutorial_iso.html
Low light and non-flash pictures have the wrong ISO since iOS 5 and have LOTS of grain and noise. This has rendered the camera in the iPhone 4 useless since the update from iOS 4. With iOS 4, my pictures had brilliant quality. This was a BIG reason why I purchased this phone in the first place. If you haven't noticed the difference, users who have had the phone since before the update can look at the difference in their pictures since. Massive difference.
Many have suggest that restoring the device from new (after a backup) can fix this. It doesn't work. At least, not for the iPhone 4. Don't bother. I check regularly for an iOS update, and after seeing one today for iOS 5.1, I was really hoping this issue would be addressed. It wasn't.
I can't imagine this hasn't been noticed by Apple, but the lack of updates and some sort of status to their customers is incredibly irritating. When will this be fixed?

If you genuinely were just looking for other users help to fix a problem, and weren't expecting Apple to read or respond you wouldn't have titleled this thread as you did. It is YOU who are trolling by deliberately posting inflamatory and misleading statements.
The probolem is clearly in YOUR DEVICE. Maybe there is a a hardware issue. However, the other 99.999+% don't have the issue - and we're not bilind, oblivious idiots either.

My iTunes match subscrption just expired a week ago, and I press "No Thanks" button on my computer. Of course all my uploaded songs disappear on my computer, if I change my mind now and resubscrpt. Will I still get back my songs? My iPad is still showing those songs though...

At present, if you delete a track from your library, instead of asking if you wish to delete from the cloud you are asked if you wish to hide song.
This indicates that the songs will remain on the Apple server. For how long, I do not know but certainly, songs deleted in the past have immediately been recognised as previously uploaded.
This obviously speeds up process if you have to rematch your library or decide to re subscribe at a later date.

Found how to get uploaded songs to matched

i talked to a apple representative over email and he told me for the songs to match they have to be .m4a format not mp3 so im converting all my .mp3 songs to .m4a

I've gotten matches (actually a LOT of matches) on songs that have NO metadata at all. I've done this purposely to specifically test the service. So, imo, that last reply you received is a bunch of hogwash.
What I've read is that they are using technology from Gracenote to do a waveform analysis of each song, then matching it of they find a match in their database. If they are actually using metadata, it's not precepitble to me.
As to your original concern about unmatched songs, I don't think there is a fix yet. I've found that masterings are definitely a factor, so keep that in mind if you have an old CD that you ripped but the iTunes database only has a new remaster of the same album, then this could definitely cause matching problems. It's just a shame that the Apple rep doesn't seem to know this.

Unable to Open a URL or File in Captivate 7 publication, When will this be fixed?

This was reported as a known issue, but there is no indication will it be fixed. Please advised as to when this functionality will be fixed, the suggested work around to move referenced documents to the root directory of the presentation is not acceptable.

I have several projects that we just upgraded to Captivate 7. I can't go back at this point, and for me to go back and edit every slide with buttons using this functionality is going to be a bear. This is something that worked in prior versions and apparently is broke in Captivate7. http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1285497. It has been 4 months since it was indicated as a known issue. Is it too much to ask that a product work as designed and that when there is a problem that it be fixed in a timely manner?

WebOS Not Enforcing Exchange Hard PIN's, when will this be fixed.

I have searched for this using PIN and don't believe I've found the exact issue.

I've had my Pre since about two weeks after release, part of the reason why I got it is because my company was going to allow the pre access to exchange, but it's been over 6 months and I'm sick of webmail.
The Problem: (from what my company has told me)
WebOS does NOT enforce a strong PIN requirement.
So basically even if this requirement is checked in exchange anyone with a Pre could simply set a PIN of 1111, 1234, 1212, or anything simple like this.
Because of this I can't use my phone to check my work email or calendar. I was told through my company that Palm was going to fix this by the end of the year, but now that has came and gone and I still do not have access.
I really do appreciate all the development and will enjoy video recording, but when will something as simple as this be fixed. I can't believe more people aren't complaining about this, but maybe it's just that some companies aren't aware that their employees can put in these simple PIN's, and haven't locked them out.

From my understanding from what has been told to me from my company even if this is checked as default Pre (webos) users could just enter in 1111 for a password and it would work. Now maybe I have this wrong and webos can't break this rule and gain access, but regardless it does not enforce a hard PIN and therefor my company is blocking it.
