Will this Ninja fit P7N Platinum?

Can someone tell me if this Ninja linked to below would fit socket on the P7N SLI Platinum? Also, any problem with the System 1 fan header and/or ATX 8-pin power connector being blocked by it making them inaccessible after heatsink is installed? I listed two links because not sure if they are the same model since Scythe calls it a revision "B."

works on mine.  you need offset the fan a bit to keep it from hitting the DIMM in the first slot.  can't use DIMM with large heatsinks like ocz reapers.

Thx for the reply m8  ill try the Arctic, cheaper and easier to fit dont have to take board out again , what do u use to tell u what temp your cpu is at? on Msi dual core centre mine says 34degs  speed fan says 45deg, a big  gap, what is the best program?  thx again for the reply

  • Will this RAM fit ?

Will this RAM be supported in a 2010 MBP ?
Only difference I can see is that standard RAM is 1066mhz and this is 1333mhz.
    http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/laptop-memory/ddr3-sodimm/ddr3-sodimm/ocz- ddr3-pc3-10600-ddr3-value-sodimm-8gb-edition.html
And does anyone know of any other memory providers that make RAM to fit a MBP ?

204 pin looks like it would fit, however I think what you are looking for is PC8500 DDR3 1066MHz 204 Pin?
You can read more on bus speed and overclocking. Depends on what you are primary using your computer for. You can decide for yourself, google "1066mhz and this is 1333mhz."

  • Will this card fit in my G5?!?

My original video card died - I am looking to buy a Radeon 9000 Pro Mac Edition ADC/DVI card w/128MB. Will this fit/work in my original dual 2.0 G5 AGP?

    Hi-
The 9000 is 2x/4x AGP compatible as far as I know. I don't recall it being 8x AGP compatible.
    Your G5 is 8x AGP.

I am considering buying my first MSI board, is this RAM compatible with the P7N SLI Platinum?  I looked at the list and did not see it, but I've been led to believe that it will work fine, is this correct?

    Hello,
FYI: here is a link to the product page:

I don't see why there should be a problem with these modules.

  • I have AG3-605-UR1G will this card fit in it?

GTX 750Ti SC 2GB If not what decent card will work?I have 500w PSU

What it means is that the CPU runs at 3.3GHz, when you put the system under load (gaming, loading applications etc..) it can boost up to 3.7GHz. This creates more heat and the CPU is designed to balance the extra speed and performance with safety of making sure there isn't to much heat and ensuring the longevity of the CPU.
Someone a little more knowledgeable about CPUs might be able to tell you if it's possible to push the CPU to stay at 3.7, but it probably isn't just as easy as turning on a setting in your PC.

  • Will this RAM work in MBP 15inch

Will this ram fit our 15 MBP bc this is another great deal
    http://www.frys.com/product/5468099

I tried using the memory finder on the Frys' site and the link to the Apple page errors out. Do you really want RAM from someone who can't keep an Apple RAM link working? I buy a lot of stuff from Fry's retail store but not RAM. Even in-store, they seldom have proper Mac memory charts.
Like SIG says, post more details about your machine to get better advice on finding the right RAM. The easiest way is to do "About this Mac..." and then click "More Info..." in the resulting window. You'll get the System Profiler screen; copy the info on the first screen and paste everything except your machine's serial number into a response. For example, doing that with my MBP gives this info:
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name: MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
    Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 1
    Total Number Of Cores: 2
    L2 Cache: 4 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 800 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B05
    SMC Version: 1.16f10
    Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Someone can look at this and tell exactly which model you have and what RAM it takes.

I had a 640GB HDD in my Early 2008 Macbook and it was just too much it would always freeze up the computer a bit for only a few seconds but ya. Then I realized that it was the size of the HDD that was causing it since the Early 2008 Macbook models can only handle a MAX od 500GB while the Early 2008 Macbook Pros could have a MAX of 640GB (Lucked out there!) lol But ya the Early 2008 Mocbooks can only handle a MAX HDD size of 500GB and that's it!! lol

Any info is greatly appreciated; thanks!

I think you'll need two adapters as well. One to mount a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay, and one to convert the smaller 2.5" IDE connector to the bigger type found in desktop PCs and a separate power plug.
Here's two examples. I'm not recommending either of these products, they're just the first ones I found!

I have been getting BSOD for along time now and then i get a windows recovered from serious error when it boots back up , i always send in the error report and usually it says a driver problem but i have re-installed every driver servral times and and re-formated my pc sevral times to try and get it to run right . Now i finally got a different report back from windows error reporting saying a "Non Compatable BIOS is the cause " here is the error report screeny i took and uploaded to flickr  http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3538/3349882297_4a3194e3df_b.jpg and this is another screeny in flickr of my BIOS in MSI Info View http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3445/3349882397_ef282a33d2_b.jpg , i believe i have the newest BIOS installed and the correct one also and have been running that version for along time . When i first setup this system i could not get my Q9550 to boot at all with this mobo till i updated the bios to the P0B6 but have never had it stable from BSOD . My Specs are Q9550 "Core 2 Quad Yorkfield SLAWQ Q9550 333 2.83 12M " / MSI P7N Platinum 750i SLI / OCZ Vendetta CPU cooler / 4GB- 4x1GB OCZ FLEX DDR2 1150 / OCZ GameXtreme 1010W / 2x - XFX GTX260 Black Edition in SLI / 1TB Seagate HD .

I suggest that you clear CMOS and use flash it to the BIOS v1.1 under the MSI website for your board and see how it goes.
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1373
LOL thats funny !!!!!  1.1 is what came installed on the mobo and is not compatable with the Q9550 it will never boot to bios using 1.1 with a quad core ! Thats the first problem i had thats why i explained all the steps i had to go through to get this mobo / cpu to boot with the help from MSI tech support !

  • P7n platinum no post after cpu change

Just built a new rig, got it up to post screen and freezes.bios is version 1.1. I have read all other posts about this particular problem for p7n platinum and tried all the recommended solutions, none avail.
Tried to flash to bios 1.2 with floppy but floppy didn't boot.
Changed to e2140 cpu, even worse, no screen whatsoever. fans, lights, etc. are running.
Reverted back to the e8400. no screen as well. Checked for bent pins and power connections, all seems fine. Before changing cpu's, it will show the post screen but freezes there.
Time to send back to the reseller?

If your system will boot up with another PSU, what would that tell you about your current one?  It is either defective or incompatible.  In the first case the problem can be fixed by replacing it and in the second case you'll need a better PSU.  One that does not have known grounding/compatibility issues.
ok. But correct me if i am wrong, the first few times booting with the e8400, it will show the screen, doesn't that tell that the PSU is ok with the MOBO?
