Will this power supply work for this tower?

I plan on getting this computer
LINK
I feel like everything on the computer is adequate but the power supply is only 300W. I need more than this so I plan on using this power supply to upgrade it.
POWERSUPPLY
Can anyone tell me if this powersupply will fit and perform with the desktop I listed. Also if it does not, is there any suggestions as to what similar Watt power supply will work?
Thanks

Unless, for some reason, Asus didn't use the ATX form factor for that case, that power supply should work fine.
Unless you are upgrading other parts, hockey's concerns aren't warranted. A power supply that is "too big" is never a problem, it's actually better for the power supply because it runs at a lower load. And, the rails on that ThermalTake can manage higher amps than the stock one can, guaranteed.
It's tough to max out a 850watt PSU in a mid-size tower like that.

    Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

    It is unlikely that the power supply will fit/work in your HP Pavilion p6213w Desktop Computer. Please consider the Corsiar CX500, CX500M, CX600, and CX600M for your power supply needs. These power supplies are the same physical size as the factory unit and are known to fit and work in most HP full-sized consumer desktop computers.
    There is a chance that the GTX 760 and other current generation video cards may not work in your computer. These newer cards typically require the computer to support the most current UEFI standards and many motherboards don't meet this criteria. Please know the return policy on any video card you purchase, in case it doesn't work. If the GTX 760 doesn't work, consider the GTX 650/660 Ti or equivalent AMD graphics card for your graphics card needs.

    JCGood1984, welcome to the forum.
    The computer should take a standard ATX power supply unit (PSU).  I suggest measuring the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one in the links.  If the measurements are the same, it should fit.  I don't know anything about the brand, however.

  • I am looking to purchase an Apple G4/500 to submit graphics etc. across the internet for an independent newspaper. Will this tower work for this purpose ?

    I am looking to purchase an Apple G4/500 to submit graphics etc. across the internet for an independent newspaper. Will this tower suit my needs to start ?

    Thank you for helping me consider all of this. I am a novice at this newspaper project so I am unsure of what all I need to consider. I will find out and go from there. I do not have a lot of revenue to start with so when I found a deal, I thought it may be a consideration to start with.

  • Will AIR ac power cord work for Mac Book Pro?

    will AIR ac power cord work for Mac Book Pro? I've lost my MBP cord.

    No. It does not provide sufficient power for a MBP unless you have a 13" model that uses a 60 watt adaptor.

  • Is it possible to change Power Supply unit for Lenovo H420 PC ?

    I have 2 questions really as i recently bought this budget system.....I was amazed to see that the PSU was only 280 watts for this systemwhich kind of limits what Graphics card I can upgrade to.
    My questions are :
    1) is it possible to upgrade the Power Supply unit for the H420 from the default 280 W to say to a 400 W one?
    2) If I cannot upgrade the PSU, what is the best performing Graphics Card that I can use in this system? It was pre-installed with a NVIDEA GeForce GT 520, which isn't the best around.
    My 6 yr old Dell Dimension 8400 system with Win XP, which i have discarded allowed me to insert NVIDEA GeForce GT 240 card, which i think is a slightly superior card to the above one. Needed a 300 W PSU

    Hi RBec and welcome to the community,
    Is this your thread over there?  If not, it gives a few options concerning the PSU.

  • Will PFC power supplies work with SIMULATED sine wave inputs

    Will PFC power supplies work with a SIMULATED sine wave input from a UPS unit?

    Not sure whether you really meant "PPC" and have never heard of a PFC power supply, but if your question is whether a Mac PPC computer will run on a UPS, then the answer is definitely "yes" as my machine has shown twice in the past 12 months and several times in the past on the G5 tower and with a G3 B&W.
    I haven't dragged the old analog scope off the shelf to see what the UPS output really looks like, but I suspect it is no dirtier than the mains power in my neighborhood.

  • Power Supply Unit for a PSC 1205?

    Dear HP! Is it possible to buy a new or repaired power supply unit for my PSC 1205? Part no. Q1647-60019. Best regards Lars

    It doesn't seem like this part is available in the HP Parts Store. I suggest you check one of THESE HP Part Partners in the US if they have this part.

  • Mini power supply works with Video iPod?

    Will the power supply that came with my iPod Mini work with the new 80GB Video iPod, which didn't come with a power supply? The adapters are the same but I don't want to fry the video iPod.

    Yes, it will work just fine.

  • Will my serial number work for old versions?

    I am a teacher and have a newer version of the software than my students do. I would like to demo in the same version they use, but it is no longer sold - will my serial number work for older versions of the same program?

    No, the serial number is tied to the version/license you purchased.  Can't you acquire the software in the same way that your students have to?

    Hello there, started to sinc my iPad 3 to my iPhone 5 with iCloud and a lot off the items did copy over, I was connected to a power supply but for some reason it's still missing half the items and I am struggling to retrieve them can you help please.
    Thank you Callum Gordon

    Well the term "hotlined" I have never heard before. In any case many states (like NY) just passed regulatory powers to the State Public Service Commission of which it may be called something different in your state. You could file a complaint with them. Or file a complaint with your state attorney generals office, they also take on wireless providers.
    The problem here is the staff you speak to are poorly trained, in days gone by it took one call to them and they pulled up your account and see the error and had the authority to remove any errors. They did not remove legitimate account actions, but used their heads instead of putting a customer off or worse lying to the customer.
    Its a shame you have to go through what you going through.
    Good Luck

    Power consumption has been specified on the Apple product site, but not the power supply voltage.
    Should be 5, 9 or 12 Volt.

    I doubt if it would work- very few Mac products are designed to be compatible with PC devices.

  • Will this Power Supply work?

    I'm getting my K8N soon, and I've spotted a new power supply that I want.  It's an Aspire 500W.  I won't BS with you guys - I like the LED's and the adjustable fan knob.  It has the specs (max, not peak, of course) below -
    3.3 - 28a
    5 -    30a
    12-   34a
    Will this be adequate?  Thanks in advance.

    Thanks.  I'm not really planning on putting tons of peripherals in here - 2 hard drives, a dvd drive, and a 6800 GT.  If you're running it fine, it ought to handle what i'm putting in there.

  • Is this power supply adequate for my system?

    these parameters won't help anybody {except they may count your electricity bill   }, buddy, cause most of even so called 420W psus will have them ....
    please post maximal amperes for 5V , 12V , 3.3V rails {these are usually on the sticker on the psu itself, if you don't have the psu andor don't know it and can't get to know then DON'T BUY IT},
    your components may get a little hungry and some 420 unreal watts won't help you...
    post details or make everybody guess...
    ok I've gathered info from http://www.iamnotageek.com/showindex.php?t=54638,
    where pic is http://www.asdfhost.com/members/sirxile/My%20current%20Turbolink%20PSU%20-%2011-144-018-03.jpg:
    and you should have written : (if it's the same model)
    3.3V = 28A
    5V = 40A
    12V = 18A
    => so if you cut them in half : 3.3 = 46W , 5V=100W , 12V=108W .
    by my opinion it's adequate, but if you consider some heavy OCing or adding HDDs
    or whatever power consuming (peltiers ), this will turn into no-go.
