ok, found a way to delete iTunes from terminal
sudo -rf /Applications/iTunes
then i can run the installer for iTunes 10.7...

No, it will sync the ipod to the content of the MBA which presumably has nothing on it (= erasing content of iPod and replacing it with nothing).

do not confuse moving your whole folder and library with moving just media files as in

Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

Install OEM on cpu A on mount point U01.
Install OEL on cpu B that has 2 cpus.
Copy mount point U01 from cpu A to cpu b.
Start db, agent, oms.
Should I relink oracle products on cpu B before startup?
Will this work?

Thanks in advance.If this is a grid control installation, are you aware of the licensing implications of installing an enterprise edition database on a 4 cpu system?
is it just enterprise manage? nevertheless there is still a license implication to consider. Will this be a production environment?

Has anyone had this while installing iTunes 10.1??

iTunes was running perfectly fine, then when I updated to iTunes 10.1 I had this error message while installing it

That suggests trouble with installing the GEAR drivers iTunes uses for importing and burning. (That can also be associated with trouble with device filters in the registry, which can lead to iPhone and iPod recognition trouble.)
So, let's first try *Solution 3* from the following document:

My windows 7 needs to be reinstalled. I have a large itunes library and i have two iphones, an ipod, and a shuffle. What do I need to do to keep from have files lost and other proplems with the phones if I have to fix windows. I have experienced many many problems with itunes when I have had to move it from one computer to another. Sometimes it loses half of my files and when I connect my Iphone it would rewrite it's memory. I do not want to go through this again. I do not want this to happen to my iphones. Can anyone help?

Itunes 10.5 update - itunes downloading afresh - will this wipe out existing libraries

I'm trying to update itunes to 10.5 to enable update of iOS5 to iPhone 4 . Unlike before when responding to prompt to update itunes, it opens up a new browser and prompts to download itunes. I went through the steps - up to the installation - but then noticed actions such as removing Itunes libraries. I aboted at this stage. Will this fresh install- wipe out existing libraries- or ok to carry on.

Upgrading to iTunes 10.5 won't affect your iTunes Library. The phrase "removing Itunes libraries" will have refered to removing old versions of iTunes code in "dynamically linked libraries", or DLL files, to make way for the new updated versions of the same.

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

Unable to install Itunes 7.5

Having recieved an 3rd generation Nano for Xmas, I am more than a little frustrated to learn that it does not seem to work with Itunes 4 (which is already installed on my laptop for my daughter's ipod) I successfully downloaded version 7.5 but have spent the past 3 days trying to install the wretched thing! Granted, in the 21st century I am still using a dial-up connection (very slow, but cheap) so attempted intstallation takes forever but just as it seems (on occassion) to be nearing the end, I get an error message: 'Error 1921 Servie ipod Service (Ipod Service) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient priviledges to stop system service'.
I am seriouly losing the will here, I cant tell you how many times I've tried installation - if someone could tell me where I am going wrong or what I can do to overcome the error, or if there is anyway I can just stick to Itunes4 (it doesnt recognise my ipod) but it does show up in 'my computer' I will love you forever!
Trust me, I have read lots of the advice in the forum but none of it seems to 'fix me'

well im having problems with my itunes as well (i turly hope this is the right subject/thread) well idk whats wrong with it. ok well its like this i installed itunes well as we all know itunes comes will quicktime. For some odd reason quicktime doesnt install and when i click on itunes if gives me a signature error and does not alow me to use it.
I have tried.
1.uninstalling/reinstalling
2.restoreing it to a check point
3.trying to download quicktime
4.Finding the error on google

It's real simple. Just go to iTunes with your iPhone connected. Go to the info tab and scroll down. In the advanced section, just check calendars under replace information on this iPhone.
When you sync, the calendar items will be overwritten on your iPhone. The box is automatically unchecked after the sync.

8.1 can't shut down after installing itunes

I recently reformatted and did a clean install of window's 8.1
I have done all updates, both windows and drivers and the machine is very smooth and stable.
After installing iTunes the computer will no longer shut down, it displays the logging off / shutting down screen but then just reboots.
I have attempted numerous resolutions to no avail, i.e. disabled NIC as bootable device, disabled the hybrid boot feature & flashed and tweaked some BIOS settings.
The computer will not even shut down when I give the command "shutdown /s /t 0"
I only had Windows Office and iTunes installed on the computer and suspecting that iTunes may be the culprit, I uninstalled it and now the computer shuts down without any issue.
I have since read several threads about iTunes and shutdown/restart issues with 64 bit versions of Windows although I have not found anyone else with my exact issue.
Is anyone aware of a resolution for this?
For now I will need to install iTunes so I can sync my phone and then uninstall so I can shut down!

Fingers crossed there will be an update for this, I was lucky that my install so was new that there weren't very many things that could have caused it because I don't think it would have ever occurred to me that iTunes was the issue.
I literally tried every other possibility before waking up in the middle of the night and realizing that the problem started right after I installed iTunes.
I have had issues with Apple software in the past where I attempt to disable it from launching automatically when I boot the computer and it will simply create another entry for itself in the startup list.
If I disable that one it makes another, and another and another.... It's like the freaking Apple hydra.
The want me to know how much I need them! lol

Trying to install iTunes so I can run my new iTouch but big problem

I got a iTouch. I tried to install iTunes and I keep getting the following message and it will not install.

So, i have this problem installing itunes on my laptop (windows xp)
The installing status : Rolling back action.
then this message appears:
"The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Your system has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."
I have tried the steps that available on Apple/support.
