Hi there!
You need to be sure that this card supports the broadcomm chipset, as this will allow the card to be recognized as an airport extreme device, otherwise you might have to hunt for a compatible driver for the mac.
You are better off with the G+ card from Belkin. The model of my card is a Belkin F5D7001 with the broadcomm chipset. You might have to do an in depth search to make sure that you find the right one.

    Thanks in advance

There are two cards intended for the Airport slot on two different G4 MDD models, and they are not interchangeable -- the two types of slots are different.
Earlier model G4 MDD may only have the Airport slot that accepts the Original (802.11b 11 Mb/sec) Airport card. Later ones have the Airport slot for the Airport Extreme card.
But the card you cited is not an Airport-slot card at all, but a PCI slot card, so is not subject to this slot limitation. But it may have System requirements, such as Mac OS X 10.3 or later

  • Does this wireless card work with leopard

I was just wondering if anyone has this wireless card working on os x leopard?:
    http://www.macwireless.com/html/products/wirelesscards/11g_11bcards/11gPCI.php
It says it is tiger compatible - but then also says tiger or "higher". I wrote the company selling it but just wondered if anyone is already using it out there .
    Thanks,

I'm not sure- but it would appear that I'd have to buy a new power supply as well, since the factory one I think is only 265??? Which seems pretty low for a system with an Intel Dual Core, DVD burner, 500 gig HD & 4gigs of memory! Seems most PCI express gaming cards need atleast 300 watts-

  • Will this graphics card work with Premiere CS5.5

We're running a Mac Pro 2 x 2.93 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 32GB Ram, 10.6.8 and we're looking to move from Apple's FCP to Premiere CS5 but noticed in Adobe's systems requirements on graphic cards the following:
Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU–accelerated performance; visit www.adobe.com/go/premiere_systemreqs for the latest list of supported cards
Here's the list of cards for Mac:
GeForce GTX 285 (Windows and Mac OS)
Quadro FX 4800 (Windows and Mac OS)
Quadro 4000 (Windows and Mac OS)
I don't see any ATI cards and we have a top of the line ATI Radeon HD 4870 this the work station. (link of card specs below)
    http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-4000/hd-4850/Pages/ati-radeo n-hd-4850-specifications.aspx
Does anyone know if the ATI Radeon HD 4870 will work or are there any limitations?

So you're saying that the "Quadro 4000 (Windows and Mac OS)" is the best choice to upgrade from my ATI card?
If you're doing things that will take advantage of the hardware within PPro, then yes.  But before you open your wallet, make sure what you're doing will be able to take advantage of the CUDA processors.

  • [GeForce 6] will this 8x card work on my 4x agp slot

    I j upgraded from a fx 5900xt and  I just purchased a msi nx6600gt-vid128 card( agp) .  I have a p4 2.2 , 1gig rd ram and a 400 front side bus (p4 lexington motherboard). I have 2 questions
    1) will this 8x card work okay on my 4x agp slot.  The packaging says that the card requires a 8x  compliant  mainboard, but tech support say they are backward compitable to 4x agp slot.  tOon newegg.com  where i bought it is says it is a 4x/8x card. I am confused .  my fx5900xt was a 8x card and worked on my 4x slot.
2)Is driver 71.89 okay to use with this card.  I heard 77.72 has problems. what about 77.50 or 77.77 drivers

any agp x 4 board should be fine
just it will run a percent or so slower than in a x8 board
all you need to do with 77.72 is go in drivers
    colour correction
    3 boxes alter to
    all
    all channels
    advanced mode
    and hit apply

  • Will a wireless printer work with airport extreme?

Will a wireless printer work with airport extreme? Such as an HP Photosmart D110.

Yes, it will as long as it is within wifi signal range of the Extreme.  Of course, you'll need to go through the printer setup sequence. NOTE:  The D110 is not AIRPRINT compatible, so it will not print from ios operating systems that are installed in mobile devices such as iphones, ipads, ipods.  However, there are Apps that are available for non airprint printers, but their quality and effectiveness are questionable.

    JCGood1984, welcome to the forum.
The computer should take a standard ATX power supply unit (PSU).  I suggest measuring the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one in the links.  If the measurements are the same, it should fit.  I don't know anything about the brand, however.

  • Will this SCSI card work in a 2009 Mac Pro?

I'm a bit confused about the differences between a PCIx and PCI Express.
Will this SCSI card work in a 2009 Nehalem Mac Pro?
    http://reviews.cnet.com/i-o-cards/atto-expresspci-ul4s-storage/1707-3019_7-30199 659.html
    Thanks for your help.

ATTO does make a PCI-e SCSI card. But it is this (much more expensive) high performance card:
    http://reviews.cnet.com/i-o-cards/atto-expresspci-ul5d-low/4505-3019_7-32121973. html?tag=contentMain;contentBody;1r
Spending $US500 to run anything but a High-performace Hard drive or Array makes no sense. If you have ONE modest speed device to run, look into the Ratoc Firewire to SCSI adapter:

Yes, provided they have at least 1 GB VRAM. See for instance http://ppbm5.com/MPE%20Charts.php or http://ppbm5.com/DB-PPBM5-2.php
Select Video Card / GeForce 600 Series and sort on the column header. There are no 640 cards yet.

  • Will this Retail Tiger Work With iBook G4?

I'm getting an iBook G4 1.33 and I have a retail copy of Tiger 10.4 I want to use with it. It just says Mac OS X Tiger, Includes Xcode 2, Install DVD, Version 10.4, 2Z691-5305-A. I need either 10.4.2 or 10.4.4, how do I tell if this DVD will work with it?

Is this iBook G4 the same 2004 model in your earlier post, re: AirPort card?
    The 'mid-2005' iBook G4 12"/14" 1.22GHz/1.42GHz models initially shipped
with a Tiger 10.4.2 version, build 8D37. Later they shipped 10.4.4, build 8G32.
Those DVD versions would be build-specific to their respective introductions.
If you have an iBook G4 from 2004, the retail Tiger 10.4 disc should work; a
2004 iBook didn't ship with Tiger 10.4, instead it had a 10.3 Panther version.
You may be able to cross-check via serial number information on a web page
to check the build, or see what MacTracker says, in collaboration with what
your computer has for configuration specs and info on its case.
The iBook G4 appreciates as much RAM installed as possible, too.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Will this Airport Extreme work with iPod Touch?

    Hi,
I just received an Apple iPod Touch (32gb, 3rd gen.) for Christmas.
I've always been a PC user, so I don't know much about Apple products.
I'd like to get an inexpensive wireless router to use with it.
I'd like to be able to surf the web, get e-mail, watch Hulu, and listen to
internet radio stations. I use Time-Warner broadband (Road Runner) and I have been able to do all of the above with my cabled PC.
I've been looking at: Airport Extreme Base Station M8799LL/A Model No. A1034. It looks like a flying saucer. Since Road Runner download speeds for my PC are around 2.5mps and this Airport Extreme can handle up to 54mps, is it safe to assume it will work with the iPod Touch?
If anyone has a moment and would jot down their thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it! If it won't work, and you could suggest some inexpensive wireless routers, that would be great as well!
    Thanks!

Yes. I use a similar flying saucer Airport Extreme 802.11g (54mps) base station with my 2g iPod Touch 32GB.
In theory, you should be able to use any 802.11b or 802.11g WiFi base station with the iPod Touch.

  • Will Quadro 1000N card work with Mercury Playback Engine?

The NVIDIA Quadro 1000M graphics card isn't listed as a recommended graphics card for running Premiere Pro CC 2014. Does anyone know if it will work with MPE?

Not what I would recommend at all. There are far to many laptop solutions out there with Geforce 800 series chips and 900 series mobile are coming very soon.
