I can prove that this is not the case. I travel abroad monthly and have sim cards for these 2 countries i frequent and i can surf and talk at the same time. The claim that it needs another antenna does not support my findings. Can we be more transparent please. As a costumer i find it highly inconvenient to have to hang up a call with someone just to access an email.

Yes, the trade-in program was launched yesterday.
It is UP TO $280, depending on the condition of the phone and maybe other factors. You will need to go in and get a quote if you want a definite answer.

My cards don't support Apple Pay

I go to Passbook to turn on Apple Pay, excitedly. Very smooth, the way the camera can even enter your numbers for you!
Unfortunately, both my Amazon.com Chase VISA, and my someone-or-other backup VISA, end up with an error saying they are not supported.

Except Chase is one of the participating issuers. I suspect it is more likely that Amazon feels it might compete with their planned payment system.

any news when Apple Pay will finally be available in Germany? For me Apple Pay was definitely a strong argument for going away from my "old" iPhone 5 and buying a new iPhone 6 right from the start in September last year. Now, 7 month later, nothing happened. I still can't use Apple Pay here in Germany. Why that? is it so difficult to convince banks here in Germany to support Apple Pay? Is Apple just too greedy and can't find banks willing to pay the fees dictated by Apple? My hope was that things might change once the Apple Watch is available ... but still no news about Apple Pay in Germany ... or Europe in general. After waiting such a long time now I'm quite disappointed.

Can I use apple pay in the itunes store? it doesn't appear to be the case.

I'm trying to make a purchase on the iTunes store from my iphone 6 plus, iOS 8.1.3. I have Apple Pay set up on this phone and want to use that credit card/Apple Pay but the iTunes store doesn't seem to accept this as a payment method. Is this the case or have I missed something? If not, why the heck not?

Payment methods you can use in the iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBooks Store - Apple Support
Apple Pay is designed to work with NFC terminals at physical stores. Not for online Purchases.
You can set up the same Credit card you use for Apple Pay on your Apple ID for iTunes, and App Store purchases.

No one here knows if/when Apple Pay will be available in the UK (or any other area outside of the US).
As for the iPhone 5s, it does not have the necessary hardware to support Apple Pay by itself.
To use Apple Pay in stores, you need an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, or an Apple Watch. The Apple Watch can be paired with an iPhone 5 or newer.
To use Apple Pay in supported apps, you need an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2 or an iPad mini 3.

From your post I understand that you're trying to set up Apple Pay on your iPhone. To set up Apple Pay please follow the directions below. If you're using the option to set up Apple Pay with the card on file with iTunes, it will use the iTunes account that is currently logged in to within your iPhone's settings.
Add the card that you already use for your iTunes Store account
On iPhone, if you don't have any cards or passes, tap Set Up Apple Pay. If you do have cards or passes, pull down your pass stack and tap in the upper right corner. On iPad, tap Add Credit or Debit Card.
Select Use Card on File with iTunes.
Enter the security code for the credit or debit card you’re already using with iTunes.
Tap Next. Your bank will verify your information and decide if you can add your card to Apple Pay. If they need more information, you'll get instructions on how to provide additional verification. You can verify your card anytime after you've added it to Passbook. Just return to Passbook and follow the instructions.
After your card is verified, tap Next. Your card is ready for Apple Pay.
Add a new card using your device's iSight camera

Camera won't capture credit card for Apple pay

When I attempt to use the little blue camera icon option in Apple Pay to capture a credit card and it's info, nothing happens. The camera won't capture a picture of my credit card. I hold my phone camera hovering very still over my credit card making it's sure it's within the guideline over and over and nothing happens.
I know my bank and my credit card support Apple Pay.

Make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 8.1
Tap Settings > General > Software Update
If it's already running 8.1, try a reset.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings then try again.
