Will Videos ever work?

Ok I know that the iPod touch works well with you tube, in fact its working beautifully, but what i don't get is that in Safari you can not watch videos on any other website, such as trying to watch sport videos on yahoo. all that appears is a little box that indicates that some information is there. What i wondering is will there ever be an update to voyager to allow it to play videos in websites. thanks for the response ahead of time

The iPod touch doesn't support flash (a pouplar video format). In Febuary '08 Apple will allow third party apps which may or may not include flash.

  • Will Siri ever work in Bangladesh....

My very first question to you APPLE...
"Will SIRI ever work in Bangladesh?"
Because when I bought iPhone 4S in Bangladesh, I tried to communicate with SIRI but whenever I Say anything to it or command to call a specific contact,
it says "Sorry I cant answer your question right now please try again later" and many other comments regarding the failure...
And many of my Friends have the same problem...
So my question again. Will Siri ever work in Bangladesh??????
    Thanks
    Shams Tajul Islam.

  • How Well Will Video Podcasting Work?

How well will video podcasting work on a Mac Mini, an iBok, and a PowerBook? I'm going to get a Mac (no doubts here) and I want to do some podcasting (preferably video podcasting) and i was wondering which to get I don't doubt that all of them could do it exceptionally well. I was just wondering if I could do it well with the Mac Mini or iBook, but I could get the PowerBook but I would have to wait about an extra month to get it (money reasons). Almost forgot to mention I've done video podcasting with a friend to help him test it out and it went well, so I thought i would do it too when i get my Mac, but I was wondering ehich would be best.

You have landed in the iSight Discussions area. I do NOT podcast, so I cannot answer your questions directly.
If you intend to use GarageBand for your podcasting, you may get better advice in GarageBand 3 Discussions.
If you intend to use GarageBand and the other iLife 06 apps for your podcasting, any computer that meets the iLife: System Requirements should work.
If you are considering different software, check the system requirements for those applications to be sure you get compatible equipment.

  • HT202905 Will AppleScript ever work on my iPad? I want it in numbers for stock info

Will AppleScript ever be supported on iOS? I want to use it to get stock information into numbers.

    Hi,
    I have the same question.
Have you tried or looked at whether the Automator app on the MAC has a component that works on the iPad or iOS? They have a website
    http://macosxautomation.com/automator/
(this app can be found usually under the launcher>utilities folder on the MAC)
Maybe you could submit this to Apple FEEDBACK.
Certainly some knd of script for iPAD would be useful. I am new to the iPAD and really don't know much about what it can do- just what I want to do.
    Good Luck

  • Will IMessage ever work again?

I thought it was a problem with texting. But it's iMessage. Apple told me to do a restore (after I was forced to do this when downloading ios7). Problem is not fixed. I'm not getting about 50% of texts. I've done everything could to fix this.
Will this get better with a new update or fix on its own? Or is it actually my phone? I believe it is still under warranty. He showed me I had severa important l system apps crashing in his diagnostic tool.
I'm frustrated as ****. My phone resets itself randomly.
iOS 7 update was the worst thing I've ever done to my poor phone.
What the **** should I do?
(Besides get an android, not eligible for upgrade yet!)

I agree iMessage is the worst thing Apple have done! Took me 3 days to work out why my text messages were not being sent, more oddly, text message were apearing on my Ipad whcih is is not the 3g model! just switch it off insettings. Other than the iOS 7 is pretty good!

  • MP4 embeding...when will it ever work on FireFox?

As someone who deals with video media on the web quite often, this handicap inherent in Firefox is a fairly big and ridiculously obvious problem. When, if ever, will it be resolved? If Firefox wasn't such a popularly used browser, this issue wouldn't be as much of a concern, but people ''are'' using Firefox quite a bit on-line. It seems very strange to me that this otherwise excellent browser from Mozilla can't play back a simple MP4 file in HTML 5.
''"Firefox doesn't support MP4 and 3GP due to their patent-encumbered nature."''
Is there a way of resolving that at any point? If not, is there a reliable format that I should switch to instead of MP4, like Flash? I'm aware that there are plugins available to make Firefox "see" MP4 files, but asking customers to download and install a plugin is not really a professional solution. Please advise! Thank you.

  • IChat AV btw Mac & PC. Will it ever work?

    Hi,
Okay, I noticed I am not the only one having this problem and I just wonder why AOL and Apple never really fixed the iChat AV problems over the past years. It should be very simple, you connect and it works. But it just doesn't.
Is there anyone out there who can help me to connect to my brother in Holland? He has the latest update of AOL AIM on his latest PC and I have the latest iMac. We both have a fast connection. So what's the problem? I can see the video icon next to his username and he did see my video icon. When I click on it a video screen pops up and is waiting for a response. Apparently he is seeing the invitation and when he clicks accept a message appears on his screen failed to connect. On my screen it says he didn't respond. When he is sending me an invitation and I click accept a moment later a message notes that I (my username) did not response to the invitation. He has no router, even turned his firewall off. We both have no idea on who's side lays the problem and don't know what to do anymore. Why is this so hard? It's 2006.
I really do appriciate any helpfull information.
    Thank you.
    -Mike

I've helped a number of people get their iChatAV working with their windows machine, and sometimes it comes down to the camera. In many instances, the Windows user purchased a new(er) quality camera, and all of the connection problems disappeared.
Just food for thought (the Logitech Orbit and Pro 5000, I've had positive experiences with)
Also, have him try chatting with another Mac user that is known to connect with windows machines, that may help pinpoint the problem as well.

  • [SOLVED]Will WOL ever work again after suspend to RAM on my server?

I used Ubuntu on this server for a long while and had WOL working after 'suspend to RAM' and after a 'shutdown -h'. Suddenly with 10.10 WOL after 'suspend to RAM' stopped working, WOL after 'shutdown -h' was still working fine, so I used that for the time being. Some days ago I thought, "well, you use Arch on your laptop for years now, so why not try it on your server, you don't like fixed release cycles anyway and Samba on Ubuntu never worked reliably on this machine, too'. So after a little fiddling to install Arch on this server and following the pm-utils entry on the Arch Wiki I am now at exactly the same position as before, WOL after 'suspend to RAM' doesn't work while WOL after a 'shutdown -h' works. The funny thing is that if I stop the network service before calling 'pm-suspend' on the server directly I can wake it with a WOL command from my laptop. I checked (via ethtool) and saw that disabling the network actually leaves the wol flag for the network card on g, but starting the network service again sets it to d. I have read many howtos and forum posts, but am at a loss right now.
Does anyone have hints or an idea to where to look now?
EDIT: Oh man, could this have really been so easy?
It turns out that I simply need to stop the network service at suspend and start it again at resume, I don't even need to unload the driver module of my network card, doh. What put me off track were all my previous attempts under Ubuntu where I had tried the same thing following provided means (trough acpi) of the distro, seems I messed up there or the documentation was out of date. I now just created a hook completely myself following the Arch documentation for pm-utils and it works now!
    [root@archi ~]# cat /etc/pm/sleep.d/Start_and_stop_network_service
    #!/bin/bash
    case $1 in
    hibernate)
echo "You didn't really call hibernate?"
    suspend)
    echo "Stop the network service"
    /etc/rc.d/network stop;
    thaw)
echo "oh, suspend to disk is over, we are resuming..."
    resume)
echo "Start the network service again"
    /etc/rc.d/network start;
    /usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 wol g;
*) echo "somebody is calling me totally wrong."
    esac
I also have to re-enable wol in the script, and at a cold boot I do the same through '/etc/rc.local'.

  • WAP4410N - Will these ever work properly?

I have owned one of these for about 2 years now, and have sold many of these to clients.  Luckily, none of them get used too much as they require constant rebooting, and it would appear as though all versions of the firmware are unreliable.  Some simply don't work, other work for a day or two at a time between reboots.
Does anyone have a solution to getting these to work properly?  When I say properly, I mean, you turn it on, configure it and then use it.  That's it.  No rebooting, not even once a year.
    Anyone?

I have 3 x WAP4410N and had lots of issues. Now they are stable. I think it's the settings below in BOLD that count.
But I did first reset the unit to factory settings; upgrade firmware; restart; and then enter all settings MANUALLY. All as per Cisco instructions. Do not just install the fw over the old fw; and do not import your settings. But I don't think any of this made any difference, but do it anyway for sure.
Here is my config. Anything not mentioned has not been enabled. Settings in BOLD are important I think - and are settings folks have mentioned that have solved issues for them. YMMV.

  • HT5205 So am I right that my 4G Ipad will only ever work...

...on 4G in one country a long way away and only on one network there? How do they get away with calling it (and charging for it as) 4G in Europe?

  • Why don't android sgh t499 version 2.2.2 and will it ever work.

Would like to know why the android 2.2.2 modle # sgh T499 baseband version t499 uvkea why can't we get firefox it really sucks. Thanks

The Samsung SGH-T499 is using a older '''ARMv6''' type of cpu (a Qualcomm MSM7227) when '''ARMv7''' is required as to why the phone is not compatible. Also the Ram is a bit low at 384 MB when 512+ is recommended and the cpu is slow at 600MHz when 800+ is recommended.
The good news is that Mozilla is looking to try and get ARMv6 mobile Firefox releases in future.
There are third-party ARMv6 builds of mobile Firefox that you can try at your own risk at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25855563
Or if you do not mind being a Tester, then there are these unstable Nightly builds (of 17.0a1 currently) which gets updates each day as checkins happens pretty much each day.
