Will we have Custom EQ settings in Feb?
Now I'm no developer and know little in the way of programming limitations etc but I am wondering if there is a chance that once the SDK is released in Feb we might see an improved feature on the iPod and iPhone.
Does anyone know if it would be theoretically possible to set up the iPod touch and iPhone to sync custom EQ settings from iTunes? I can't figure out if this would rely on a change to iTunes or the device itself or both. I'm not asking you to predict if anyone will do it, just whether it is likely to be possible.
If it is possible, do any of you geniuses know someone who would be interested in doing it, and in turn make me a very happy man? Heck, I'll pay them to do it!!
Any info anyone has on this would be much appreciated. Thanks to you all.

Speaking of killing someone, don't mean to push you over the edge by bringing this up again Ansuz82 but I noticed a similar thread about does the iPhone transfer presets or not. I got a bit lost but just wanted to check if I were getting it.
It seemed there were two variables.
Whether custom EQ's transfer over if added to the song in iTunes or whether it only worked for the pre-programmed EQ's (stock EQ's?)
Whether you could hear the difference through the headphone jack or only the line out.
If I got it correctly I understood that pre-programmed EQ's assigned to a tune in iTunes will transfer across and can be heard through either line out or headphone jack. iPhone EQ needs to be set to "FLAT" to hear this correctly though.
But, Custom EQ's assigned to a tune in iTunes will not copy across so listening to such a tune with EQ set to "OFF" or "FLAT" makes no difference.
Is this a correct summary?... if you can remember?

It is quite possible the battery door may get your phone in working order again. I'm not sure if the store has it in stock, but it is available in our warehouse for $14.99 which can be ordered via customer service.

Custom network settings are not an option in firefox os 1.3. A moderator (guigs2) stated that it would possibly be supplied in 2.0. I use openDNS to filter my child's internet use which require these settings.
If 2.0 will not have this feature, can I alter the network settings through the host file, and if so how?

The image is of network connection settings in a desktop computer, but android and iphone have similar menus when "modify network" is selected by long pressing the network name in android or by tapping the arrow next to the name on an iphone or ipad. (The image should have the box checked "require IPv4 address...")

My photos will not sync to my Apple TV (1st generation), ipad, iphone, or itouch. They used to be there but upon recent syncs with all devices they have all gone. I am totally baffled as I have not changed settings?
I had the same thing happen to me. It's a bug in iPhoto 9.4.2.
The first time you run iPhoto after upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2, it "updates the iPhoto library". This sometimes tickles a bug where iTunes can see all your iPhoto albums, but iTunes thinks they are empty. Since iTunes thinks all your albums are empty, it dutifully deletes any photos from your synced iOS devices.
It's easy to tell if this is the problem you are seeing. Open iTunes and go to the photos sync panel for one of your iOS devices. If you have multiple albums checked, but iTunes shows a total of 0 photos, then you have the problem.
I spent an hour with an Apple Genius. he couldn't find any mention of this problem in their internal support system. His recomendation was to reinstall the operating the system. I suspect that this won't solve it.
The only solution I have found is to restore iPhoto 9.4.1 and the corresponding iPhoto library from your backups.
I would refrain from upgrading to iPhoto 9.4.2 until Apple has a fix for this issue. -
i have been backing up since 2010 but my machine will only go as far back as feb 11 ... why is this? please help i need valueable info from 2010

When the Time Capsule disk starts to become full, Time Machine will automatically delete the oldest backups first to make room for new backups.

will Installing LTR5 from CC be compatible with full version LTR 5.7 on desktop ? There is only one version of the Lightroom program. The Lightroom standalone version, the student version, and the CC version are all the same program. The only difference is in how they are licensed. The standalone version that you are using is activated with a serial number. The CC installation is activated with your Adobe ID and Adobe password. I would suggest that you uninstall your standalone version. Then you will be able to install Lightroom from the creative cloud application manager. The application manager will keep track of updates for you as they are released. And when Lightroom 6 is released you will get it automatically, no additional charge, as part of your creative cloud subscription.
Uninstalling your current Lightroom will uninstall the program, but will leave the catalog and all user files as well as all of your images on the computer. Once you have installed Lightroom from the creative cloud manager you will be able to simply double-click on the desktop icon (which will look just like the old one) and start right where you left off. Everything will be intact, business as usual. I know this because I went through the process I have described when I joined the creative cloud. It happened just as I have described. There were no problems in switching. -

A change of classifier/policy on the WAE is not affecting the existing flows so you shouldn't need to disable WCCP if you want to force group settings there.

I Want to reactivate my Passcode for safety. I am unsure what I used since I forgot to write it down. When I select 'Turn Passcode On' in Settings, will I have the prompt 'Change Passcode'?
On my 5s, with the Passcode turned on the "Change Passcode" prompt is usable -- i.e., you can change a passcode once you have a passcode turned on. I have turned mine off and back on in the past and it always asked me for a new passcode. I used the same one as before but there was no indication that it was requiring that or asking for the previous passcode.

Just wondering if it's possible to sync iPhone 5 in a way that automatically keeps my contacts from my iPhone 4 with the same custom ringtones. Or will I have to re-assign them all manually?
You should be syncing your contacts with an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, etc), and not relying on a backup. If you haven't been doing this, start now and then restore your old backup. You will then be able to sync the new contacts back into the phone. However, you will lose all messages, etc newer thant the backup.

Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. You cannot update iPhone 4 to IOS 8.1.2, the highest you can update is IOS 7.1.2.

Firefox does not always remember custom history settings
I use custom history settings. I uncheck Accept cookies from sites (and then use the Cookie Monster add-on to manage cookies). Occasionally I find that the preference has returned to Remember History. I can detect no pattern to when this happens. It usually happens during a session (ie I have not shut Firefox down). It is possible that it happens after the computer has been in sleep mode, but it certain does not happen whenever it is put in sleep mode. Sometimes there may be a couple of weeks between incidents. As I only become aware of it by paying close attention to what Cookie Monster is reporting as the default cookie setting, I am never sure exactly how long it has been before I notice it, though I try to pay attention nowadays.
