Will you introduce me briefly to Arch and tell me if it's compatible?

I am new to this place! Currently I am running Ubuntu, but unfortunately I am deeply disappointed with its bloated and opaque interface. In the Ubuntu forums I was recommended to give Arch a try. But before doing so, I have to be sure my hardware is fully compatible with Arch. Here it goes:

Many thanks in advance! I just hope I am right here in this forum and there are people willing to help me. Excuse me if I did something wrong by violating your rules in a certain way. I have only heard the name "Arch" before, but never really seen it working. Perhaps this forum could be of help introducing me to Arch?

simple? nothing in arch is hard to install.
pacman -S name_of_program
that includes DE's WM's. Just break into the beginners guide and start. Forget about lynx. Print the beginners guide or use another PC to view the beginners guide and just copy and paste(in other words, just type word for word, letter for letter into CLI). One of the first things u should install once u have a bootable system is the DE or WM u choose to use. If u are new to linux, go for gnome or kde. These will feel much more familiar if u aren't used to other WM's DE's like xfce,openbox,fluxbox,fvwm,pekwm,compiz,etc...
Be prepared for the CLI, u need basic knowledge of commands. Be prepared to use nano to edit config files till u get a DE installed.
btw, my first arch install took me a week to get it rightly configured(was one night getting a base arch install done with a DE installed). This last time (3rd time) took me 6 hours for everything. U will learn so much so fast u will feel like genius. arch wiki is your godsend and the forums are pretty good too.

I've also noticed that crashes increase with hand-animations, especially with embedded sounds. I find that version control is a great way to handle this. Even if you aren't set up to use a central repository and don't want to be, both Git and Subversion support local repositories that will give you revision points to go back to without copies all over the place. If that's too much overhead, Dropbox also keeps a revision history and I have heard/read that you can go back to previous versions you have stored there. However, I don't know the specific details of how it works. -
Will you have option to try IPhone and return if you do not like it?
I am changing from Evo to Iphone and not sure if i will like it. Will it matter if you order from apple or sprint do you get that 30 day period to return if unhappy? Talked to sprint and they are not waiving activation fee, so if ordered thru apple do I just call sprint to activate? thanks
You can return it if you do not like it. Even if you buy it through Apple you will pay the Sprint activation fee.
If you go to your nearest Apple Store you can play with an iPhone 4s and get a good idea if you will like it or not. -
Sony - when will you step up to fix A7r and lossy compression?
Sony - Nikon was sued for their D600 issues. Why not do the right thing and address the A7r and lossy compression? You have a number of experts discussing the A7r shutter shock and Sony's lossy compression scheme and not yet a response from Sony. Sony advertises that their cameras provide 14 bit color but the Sony compression algorithm never delivers more tha 8 bits of color depth according to file sizes. This is deceptive and may amount to fraud. I'm interested in the upcoming A7S, before releasing it I hope, this time you make sure: 1) There is no light leaks of any kind, whatsoever. 2) Implement same kind of anti-shutter-shock 2s delay as in Olympus OM-D EM5 has in firmware, if you can't fix the shutter vibrations mechanically. 3) Provide a way to store truly lossless raw (should be easier with the smaller 12mpx sensor, maybe..?) Just ask some of the professionals who have wined about these issues have a go with the A7S before release to make sure it doesn't have these or some other similiar issues that hurts your reputation after release.. I updated Pages two months ago to the latest version. BUT, my MAIL program will not allow me to send documents I attach that are genereated witht eh update Pages. And, when I save a doc to desktop generated in Pages, it will not opena, a box pops up and tells me the it wil not open until I have upgraded to the new PAges, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY DONE!!! What is UP with this, can anyone please help me? Would GREATLY appreciate it.
SAPages 5 is in a new format that is not compatible with GMail, Google, Amazon, DropBox and other 3rd party servers.

I have an iPod 4s and I am trying to update to IOS 6.1.6. I keep trying to download but it will not allow me to click download and install. I have checked my storage and I have more than enough storage space available. Do you guys have any suggestions?
The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

iTunes 11.1.4, and iOS 7.0.4. - My iPhone 4 is popping up with "do you trust this computer?" Message, and will no longer sync to iTunes. My device when plugged in just won't sync, and I litteraly do not know what to do... Someone please help me!?
I did know that it was a new feature, but it made no difference, it wasn't synching. I did however find a post that completely helped me!! Link below.

I used to use my desktop computer for all my iPod and iTunes needs, but it's Windows XP so I no longer use it. I now have a Windows 8.1 laptop which I want to use for my iPod. Photos can be backed up but I have a lot of game progress and iMessages that I don't want to lose.You will lose your app data unless you backup to the new computer and then restore from backup will all the app in the iTunes library of the new computer.

DVD and CD sharing will not let you play or share DVD movies and audio CD's. Does any one know of a way to get music from a CD on a MacBook Pro wirelessly to an iMac?
I cannot find the eMac install disk, and I haven't been able to get it to start up from my 10.3 CDRm (holding down option or c), though I read something somewhere about these not being able to start up from system folders earlier than those they shipped with. I've dealt with this sort of thing several times before, and it always seemed to work to simply use target disk mode.
It definitely won't start up fromt the 10.5 DVD-R, and I'm pretty sure I tried putting the MBP into TM to use its optical drive as well, but it didn't work. But it's worth trying again, and I appreciate your input greatly. -
Why there is not an option to unable the 3G and use 2G on iPhone 4S ? It's awful! When will you fix that ? What are we gonna do now? I cant believe Apple can do it, like the battery of iPhone 4S is amazing. Everyday I should charge my phone! It doesnt make sense...
YOu can't disable the camera - this feature came out with IOS 5.
You will have to set your passcode lock to immediately. settings - general - passcode lock. -

In general different users will be given different authorizations based on their role in the orgn.
We create ROLES and assign the Authorization and TCODES for that role, so only that user can have access to those T Codes.
USe SUIM and SU21 T codes for this.
Much of the data in an R/3 system has to be protected so that unauthorized users cannot access it. Therefore the appropriate authorization is required before a user can carry out certain actions in the system. When you log on to the R/3 system, the system checks in the user master record to see which transactions you are authorized to use. An authorization check is implemented for every sensitive transaction.
If you wish to protect a transaction that you have programmed yourself, then you must implement an authorization check.
This means you have to allocate an authorization object in the definition of the transaction.
For example:
program an AUTHORITY-CHECK.
AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT <authorization object>
ID <authority field 1> FIELD <field value 1>.
ID <authority field 2> FIELD <field value 2>.
ID <authority-field n> FIELD <field value n>.
The OBJECT parameter specifies the authorization object.
The ID parameter specifies an authorization field (in the authorization object).
The FIELD parameter specifies a value for the authorization field.
The authorization object and its fields have to be suitable for the transaction. In most cases you will be able to use the existing authorization objects to protect your data. But new developments may require that you define new authorization objects and fields.

Another Tcode is PFCG where you can assign these authrization objects and TCodes for a profile and that profile in turn attached to a particular user.
Take the help of the basis Guy and create and use.
As the name suggest it if for Authority check so that the person who is not having authorization for some data/transaction can be restricted from viewing it. It is very imortant for the security of data. Check below link for details on authorization.

I changed my email on my computer for my itunes and icloud. It made me manually change it on my ipod even after I synced. It won't change my email for my icloud and I have to delete it manually. "If you delete your account, all documents and Photo Stream photos stored in Icloud will be deleted from this iPod touch" comes up. Will I lose all my data stored on my iPod?
You will only lose your iCloud data, That includes iCloud backup, iCloud Contacts and Calendar, Reminders, Notes, everything listed in Settings>iCloud

What happened is it got wet. Water and electronics don't go well together. You need to switch it off and bury it in bag of dry rice for a week at least. This may or may not work - but continuing to try to use it in its current state will kill it for sure. You can enquire at an Apple store about out-of-warranty replacement, depending on where you are.

If you try to download Mountain Lion and your system won't support it, will it tell you, or will it try and then crash the computer?
I have a MacBook Pro purchased in 2008. It is a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo Processor with 4 GB memory and I am currently using OS 10.7 Lion. But it is one of the "silver keyboard" models. I was told by someone that I would not be able to use Mountain Lion. I have already purchased it for use on my new MacBook Pro, and would like to put it on this one as well, but don't know if I should just try it.
