Iam a verizon usa costomer with a z10. (Luv it).. I want to buy new z30 from blackberry store direct. Heres the issue.
not a blackberry tech or verizon can tell me if this unit will work here in usa. blackbeery says full unlocked..but it also says its gsm..and verizon is cdma, so im being told..
can any smart tech people let me know if it will work here in usa fully..verizon wont sell them here or atleast drags feet like its soo hard for them to get and BB store its on sale...why can the BB store..just sell the right version for United states?

I know this question is probably premature, I don't think apple has mentioned anything about it yet, but I saw that past unlocked iPhones (4 and 4S) would not work on Verizon. I'm a Verizon customer and I want to keep my unlimited data plan, the only way to do this is buy a iPhone at retail, but from what I saw regarding the 4 and 4S I may not be able to do this. I did read that the iPhone 4S is being made in three distinctive models, 1 with a CDMA network and 2 others with varied GSM - LTE networks. I'm hoping this means that an unlocked iPhone 5S can now run on the Verizon network. Any ideas if I'm correct? Thanks.

Honestly I'm not convinced to jump to sprint so quickly. I am monitoring my data as it is, I'm a heavy data user as I watch a lot of movies from Netflix Hulu plus crackle etc. the flip side of this is that I do most of this on my iPad, which I have currently unlimited data on, so I can still get by without unlimited data on my cell, it's more of me not wanting to lose what I have. But thanks for all the info. I'm secretly hoping that apple has redone the unlocked iPhones but I wont lose any sleep over wishful thinking. I'm just quite anal I guess lol. Thanks again

I spent over an hour and a half talking and/or waiting on Verizon customer service yesterday and another 52 minutes today. At the end of all that, Verizon's representative told me that even though my iPhone 5 is unlocked, I can't bring it to the Verizon network.
During this time, I was told several times that my phone had to be added to the Verizon database. Yesterday when I was told this, I was told it would take 30 to 60 minutes. Today I was told that it might take two to three days but that even after the change to the database goes through, I still would not be able to use my phone on Verizon's network.

No not possible. Verizon doesn't import IMEIs into their database. Also the unlocked iPhone 5 does not have a CDMA radio so it wouldn't connect anyway. You need to use a GSM carrier for that iPhone to work.

Historically I believe its been 2-4 months after the release of the provider locked versions. You just have to be patient. Personally I am also waiting for Apple to release a truly unlocked device before I upgrade one of our iPhones.

The iPad is not a 4G device, so no, strictly speaking, it will not. It will connect to Verizon, assuming of course that you purchase the Verizon version of iPad, but it will connect using their CDMA "3G" network.

I am using CS2 premium (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, Go Live, inDesign and Acrobate 7 Professional) and wish to upgrade to CS5.5 Design Standard + Dreamweaver.
But my question is probably more like: if we upgrade a CS2 product to a CS5.5 product, will some PowerPC code still remain in the upgraded version, thus creating compatibility problems with Lion?

Will RAM from my Macbook Pro work in iBook G4?

I just upgraded the RAM in my Macbook Pro 2.4 GHZ (removed two 1 GB cards and installed two 2GB cards). I now have two 1GB sticks of RAM (Samsung, came with the Macbook Pro) that are sitting here gathering dust. I have an iBook G4 1.2 GHZ that I would like to upgrade - can I use one of these 1GB Samsung sticks from the Macbook Pro in the iBook or are they incompatible?

My new Iphone 4 will not SLIDE TO UNLOCK. Worked when i left the store yesterday not this morning.

I can't get in to the phone. Bought it yesterday at the ATT store, worked, went home loaded apps and what not, worked, played a game, worked. Slept alarm worked in the morning, used Stitcher app on the way to work. at work at about 8 am would not unlock.

When i try to power off the slide to turn off does not work either.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo.

The site says November and it is the 3rd of November yet no clarity on when it might be available. Can somebody confirm when this is available.
