in msi website the 333 fsb cpus are not supported too in kt3 ultra-ultra aru but they still work... so it make sense to discuss  if applebred work or not in those mobos.

  • Pioneer DVR 106D does not work after firmware update

I tried to update the firmware of my iMac with DVRFlashX. I failed. No Superdrive is showing up in the system information. DVD can't be removed even with the firmware eject function. No Pioneer drive is found. How do I get the right firmware for the Superdive via Internet to make it work again?

Hallo und Willkommen zu den Apple Diskussionen.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know what happened. I assume this Firmware wasn't supplied by Apple... What updates does it achieve?
    many thanks

  • Restoring an existing Time Capsule backup to a new HD

The hard drive on my 6 month old MacBook Pro failed inexplicably several days ago. After wasting half a day trying to repair the disk, I caved in and made an appointment at the dreaded "Genius" Bar.
They verified my suspicions; complete failure. They kept the laptop, ordered a new drive and two days later informed me it was fixed. I sat down and connected it to my Time Capsule with an ethernet cable. When I turned it on, it played through that now insufferable multicultural "welcome"-in-twenty-languages jam and I followed Apple's instructions +Restoring an existing Time Capsule backup to a new Mac+:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1177?viewlocale=en_US
My favorite step is #12: +Your Mac will check the Time Machine backup for a period of time.+ When that period was clearly going to be a while, I went on a run, came back 40 minutes later and...it had returned me to the initial post-willkommen-bienvenido-etc. screen where I get to choose a language. Okay, my bad for leaving it unattended. I started over at #2, and this time it only took about half an hour. It showed the folders on the Time Capsule, I selected all of them, and clicked Transfer.
Almost immediately, it dove back into the welcome song! Now, for the third time, I'm at step #12. It's been over half an hour, and still no sign of hope. Just the progress bar checking for backups.
Would they have installed Snow Leopard on my Leopard machine? I definitely told them what I had been running, but it seems like a plausible reason for the hang-ups.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

Connect to your Time Capsule via Ethernet if at all possible.
After booting from your Leopard Install disc and selecting Utilities, select +Disk Utility+ and see if it can find the +sparse bundle+ containing your backups on your Time Capsule. You may have to join the network, etc., via the Airport icon in the menubar. If you can get the sparse bundle to appear in Disk Utility's sidebar, select it and do a +*Repair Disk+* (not permissions) on it.

That's fairly likely; it happens a lot, probably because most folks have upgraded and installing SL has become a habit. But it shouldn't matter -- as long as you're using your Leopard Install disc, it should work fine. Once the restore actually starts, the first thing that happens is your internal HD is erased, and everything is restored from your backups.
It's also possible that whatever was going wrong on your internal HD corrupted something critical in your installation of OSX, and the corrupted stuff was backed-up, and that's what's giving TM a problem. If nothing else seems to help, try restoring from a previous backup.

  • How to choose a specific version and detect the same specific version?

I've found the following link in other posts about choosing versions programmatically:
    http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/versions.html
Well, I'm not quite sure how to use that classid for "static versioning". I mean, if I need to use 1.3.1_08 but not others (not even 1.3.1_07 or 1.3.1_09, but only 1.3.1_08), what classid should I use?
That page doesn't teach us what syntax we're supposed to use!
On the other hand, my webapp needs to detect what JRE is installed and would suggest what to do in case the specific version can't be found in client computer. What should I do?
Thirdly, I've noticed that the order of installing versions is important. Let's say there're two versions in a computer, V1 and V2, while what I need is V1. Depending on V1 or V2 is the final installed one, my detection might or might not work. Someone knows what to do?
    TIA

  • What to do about not waking after Sonnet Tango USB FW PCI in G4 AGP Graph?

I have bought a used PowerMac G4 AGP Graphics 400 MHz, running OS X 10.3.9, 512 Megs of RAM, 20 GB internal ATA HD, Internal CDRW, Internal ZIP 100, Adaptec SCSI SE card (25 pole).
That system was just fine - amazing power for an 8 year old computer!!!
Then I installed a Sonnet Tango USB 2.0 FW 400 PCI card that I removed from my PowerMac 7600 - Sonnet G3 running OS 9.1 where it worked flawlessly.
I wanted to get USB 2.0 in the G4. The card works great - burning a DVD with a LG Burner attached via USB was amazing - DVD done in 5 min!
However one Problem: I cannot let the system go to sleep any more. Once it is to sleep I cannot wake it any more. I have to force reboot. When I choose sleep from the menu, the first time the computer wakes immediately after going to sleep, when I try once more, I get a message that I have to force reboot the machine by pressing the power key for 5 seconds.
Does anybody have a solution (to this apparently relatively common problem).
I have included a passage from my system log.

    Hi KBReid,
Your issue looks really familiar. I have a G5 iMac (all stock except 2G RAM upgrade) that has been running 10.5.6 for, well, as long as it's been out. The machine is set to automatically shutdown at 10PM and boot up at 8AM. It's on a UPS. 4 nights ago it shut down, and in the morning it was stuck at a light blue screen with the pinwheel in the top left corner after it tried to boot up. I've unplugged it, reset PRAM, went into OF and typed reset-all. Here's the kicker: I can boot from the 10.4 disc that came with the iMac and see the drive, verify/repair (nothing was wrong). It won't repair permissions because it looks for some "package." The iMac won't boot from the 10.5 disc (full retail). Or perhaps I should say that it won't completely boot, because it does the same thing that the hard drive does: it goes through the apple screen, then two shades of grey and two shades of blue really slowly, then it stops with the pointer at the top left (leaving a copy of it lurking in the top left corner if I move it.) Eventually the pointer becomes the spinning wheel, and then it's all over.
I don't think that it did any update (I have it set to ask first, and the boot partition chooser in 10.4 disc still show 10.5.6 as the HD OS) so I'm totally baffled why it is acting the way it does.
Any suggestions? Did you resolve your issue?
    Thanks!

  • How to print from my OX 10,4, but from the OS 9x surface, filemaker progr.

I have a OX 10,4 and played on my old address datas, a special designed filemaker program. With this computer, however, I cannot print anymore. The recommendation coming up says: get ImageWriter Software. I have been searching in the internet, but don't find anything that looks right. I hope I have expressed it okay, as I am german, and might have written wrong words.
Does anybody know the problem? Can anybody help me?
    Thanks in advance maybe,
    Sabine

Hallo Sabine, und herzlich willkommen zu den Foren!
I'd try choosing LaserWriter 8 in OS9 and Print or Sace as a Postscript document.
What kind of Printer do you have? How is it connected?

  • Tempro v3.3.3 fails to install on Windows 7 64bit

    Hi,
When I try to install Tempro 3.3.3 on Windows 7 64bit it stops after the third step, ends the installation and gives the error: "The installation has ended due to an error" and then the installer exits.
Running as admin and/or in 'compatibility mode' does not change anything. My account is the only user and it's the administrator account.
    Any idea's?
    Thanks,
    Roel

    Hi Xaver,
yes, I have read all above.
I think its not a problem with with the installation itself, but on my system I have tried out as many as I can.
Deactivation of firewall and virsuscanner, closed all programms, cleaning registry and so on. All on adminstartion account.
    But nothing helps.
After the window "Willkommen beim Intsallationsassistenten fr Toshiba TEMPRO" and confirmation with "Next" a messagebox with "Vorzeitiges Installationsende aufgrund eines Fehlers" is displayed and the installation exits.
My system is a WIN 7 Home Premium 64Bit on a Toshiba Qosmio X500.
    What else can I do?
    Best regards

  • BPM 10.3.2 Studio install on Windows 7 64bit

I have BPM Studio Version 10.3.2 build 101276
It is installed on a Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise machine. When I start the engine, build and Deploy the project, the webRoot of the project should be
copied to the STUDIO_INSTALL_HOME\webapps\workspace\webRoot. But it is not.
This works perfectly on a Windows 7 64 bit Professional machine. The installation paths on both machines are:
    C:\Program Files(x86)\STUDIO_HOME
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Studio on the affected machine with no success.
Can anyone provide any insight into why this is not happening and if there are some settings I need to look at?

  • Blue thin line on the lower left iMac G4 Flat Panel

Hi, since yesterday there is a blue thin line (0,039 inches (1 mm) thin; 35 inches (9 cm) long on the panel of my iMac G4 Flat Panel. It looks like drawing with a ruler, so straight and so fine.
The line is on the left lower corner in a vertical position. At first I thought these are dead pixels, but I checked this. No dead pixels. I have changed the desktop picture etc., but it`s all the same. I run the apple hardware-test cd - no problems found. Is there someone with any idea? Is it possible to have a damaged graphics- chip although the hardware-test is o.k.?
Does it make sense to open the iMac and look for dust and dirt on the motherboard?
Thank you for any help, Matse
    iMac G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

What happens if you change the
display resolution? (Apple Menu > System
    Preferences... > Displays > Display tab >
Resolutions) If the line stays in exactly the same
place despite the resolution change this points to an
LCD rather than graphics card issue.
    mrtotes
thank you Adam for that hint. The line stays exactly in the same place. That means it is an LCD issue? That´s your opinion? Do you have any idea if it is possible to repair it, or is the only possibility to change the panel?
    Thank you, Matse

    erwartet.
    frustrierter LS

I could really use some help on this . . .
Could it be a codec is missing or something?
Does anyone know of another way I can get help if not from here?
    Thanks.

  • Eigene Konturenstärken in InDesign CS5.5?

    Hallo liebes Forum,

  • Blue thin line

I have a 2007 20" iMac.  Recently just reinstalled Lion and had a thin, blue, vertical line on the left side of the display appear.  Wasn't there before upgrading from Snow Leopard.  If you look closely, you can see it flickers.  It's not too noticeable when the display is showing light colored images but when darker images are on the screen, the line is noticeable.  What would make this happen and how would I go about fixing this without Apple's help?
