Willl these power supplies work with Athlon64?

Hi.
The pc i'm going to build is:
Athlon 64 3000 (or maybe 3400  )
MSI k8t-neo fis2r
2 x 512mb kingston valueram
HD hitachi 7k250 sata 160gb
9800pro
dvd-rom + cd-rw (or dvd-rw)
My question is: will these 2 power supplies work fine?
1) CODEGEN-IPERTEK 450W
+3,3V 20 A
+5V 40A
+12V 16A
2) Techsolo TP - 500
+3,3V 28 A
+5V 38A
+12V 17A
Thank you!

Ok, you convinced me to buy its "bigger brother"
My last question is, which one of these 2?
1) Enermax EG475AX-VE SFMA (470w) I think it's the one of this review: http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/reviews/cases/Enermax_EG475AX-VE_1.html
2) Enermax EG465AX-VE FMA (460W) http://www.computex.com.tw/detail_productmain.asp?index=03061&pcode=M0200&show=oneproduct&pname=EG465AX-VE+FM+(24P)
Which one should I buy? I would prefer the first one cause it's easier to get and it also has 2 sata connectors, but my doubts are:
It's a noisetaker, is it good?
It's dual 12V rails, with + 12,0V(1) = 16A and + 12,0V(2) = 15A. Do you think it's a problem if it's dual rails? I't's better if it is single single rail like the second one?
Thank you

  • Will PFC power supplies work with SIMULATED sine wave inputs

Will PFC power supplies work with a SIMULATED sine wave input from a UPS unit?

Not sure whether you really meant "PPC" and have never heard of a PFC power supply, but if your question is whether a Mac PPC computer will run on a UPS, then the answer is definitely "yes" as my machine has shown twice in the past 12 months and several times in the past on the G5 tower and with a G3 B&W.
I haven't dragged the old analog scope off the shelf to see what the UPS output really looks like, but I suspect it is no dirtier than the mains power in my neighborhood.

  • Do both of Apple Store's iPod power adaptors work with the new Touch 2G?

    Hi,
Many thanks in advance for your attention.
Looking to to get an Apple USB power adaptor for the iPod Touch 2G.
In the Apple Store, two are listed, one smaller (and newer) than the other. In the newer one, the prongs are not retractable; in the larger (older) one, they are.
    1. Does anyone know if the larger (and older) power adaptor works with the iPod Touch 2G USB-only interface?
    2. I know that many power adaptors and speakers and car adaptor sets, etc. in the past had a combo Firewire/ USB power interface. That is why the new iPod Touch 2G (or iPhone 3G) does not charge up or power up with these speakers and chargers, etc. (Speakers such as the original Bose Sound Dock).
    3. Is it true that the older (larger) power adaptor works better in all kinds of power situations (different outlets, etc. in different countries); that the older (larger) power adaptor is more travel-versatile? The Apple store perhaps notes a difference, noting that the newer power adaptor works only with USA-style outlets. I see no such note with the older adaptor.
    4. Finally, does anyone know of a USB-only interface that would work with the iPod Touch 2G that is not Apple's (and perhaps not as insanely priced)?

    Many thanks for further clarifying.
I don't know 100% for sure that the Apple USB cable for the iPod Touch is different than the Apple USB cable for the iPod Touch 2G.
    But:
I have read (somewhere) that the tiny pin connectors are different. That is why an iPod Touch 1G could be charged by (for example) a Logitech mm50 Speaker set and an iPod Touch 2G cannot.
An iPod Touch 2G can still connect to the Logitech mm50 Speaker set. It will still play and you will hear music. But it is no longer charging. And I have read of iPod Touch 2Gs getting very hot in these cradles. That can't be good for the poor iPod in the long run.
So for the Apple USB power adaptors to work, (which both came out before the iPod Touch 2G), they must have some override or blocked pin if they can work with both generations of iPod Touches.

Yes, provided they have at least 1 GB VRAM. See for instance http://ppbm5.com/MPE%20Charts.php or http://ppbm5.com/DB-PPBM5-2.php

I doubt if it would work- very few Mac products are designed to be compatible with PC devices.

The computer should take a standard ATX power supply unit (PSU).  I suggest measuring the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one in the links.  If the measurements are the same, it should fit.  I don't know anything about the brand, however.

  • Will a 65w power supply work with the HP Envy 15t (which comes with a 90w)?

I have multiple extra 65w power supplies from previous machines.  The pin that plugs in to the machine is different, but there are converters to get the right size pin.  If I get that right pin, is it safe to use a 65w power supply with the HP Envy 15t, which came with a 90w supply?
One supply (65w) says the output is 19.5v, 3.34a.  Found another extra (90w) says the output is 19.5v, 4.62a.
The one supplied with the Envy says (90w) 19.5v, 4.62a.  I'm assuming with a pin converter, I can use the second one above?

    Hi,
For the 65W, It will work, BUT check the tip/connector. The only problems: battery charging could take longer time and for high graphics task it may display an error message. For the 90W, again pin/connector is the main concern.
    Regards.

Sorry, NO these will not working your computer. Even if you found a compatible MXM HP graphics card, you would still need to replace the CPU heatsink/fan assembly to one designed for use with the additional GPU.

  • Please help! Will any of these camera's work with VC3 Camera Requirements?

I am looking to do news broadcasts for my website. I was looking into Panasonic GS-500, GOOD CAMERA, discontinued. I don't like the GS320 as it doesn't include a mic or headphone input. So I have no choice but to spendaround a thousand dollars for a 3CCD or CMOS camera that can shoot good broadcast web news segments.
I have narrowed my choice to three camera's that have mic, firewire, essential for VC3 but I can't decide. I don't know if they are compatibile with the software, need help from the experts.
This is requirement from the adobe website:
******What types of cameras can I use with Visual Communicator?*******
Visual Communicator works with standard webcams and camcorders. Most camcorders will require some kind of video input card such as a FireWire (IEEE 1394) card or an analog capture card. Whether you are using a webcam or camcorder, it's important that the camera or input card has a Windows®driver that is DirectShow compatible. Most of them do. If your device is older, you might need to visit the manufacturer's website to download a new driver that is DirectShow compatible. Inside Visual Communicator you will find a menu that lists all of the DirectShow devices attached to your computer, and you can select which one you wish to use for your video input. If you have an analog video capture card, you can also hook up your VCR and use recorded footage.*********
Could you please read the specs and let me know if they will work with VC3:

  • Would these Viewsonic Monitors work with the Mac Mini?

    Hi,
I ordered the latest mac mini and I need to order a monitor...Due to my budget constrainsts I cannot order a Dell Ultrasharp, so I'm looking at a viewsonic...
.I want to do some webdesign on it, so I don't need a lot of color accuracy  ....But would this work with the Mac mini?
ViewSonic VX2363smhl-w 23-Inch SuperClear IPS LED Monitor  1920x1080
do I need to buy any type of cable?   the conectors it has are
    15-pin mini D-sub (VGA) / HDMI (x1) , HDMI/MHL (x1)

    Those monitor's will work fine.
One will connect to the Mac Mini's HDMI output port using the supplied HDMI cable.
For the other you will need either a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter or better yet a Mini Display Port to HDMI adapter.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB572Z/B/mini-displayport-to-vga-adapter?mco=M TA4OTEwNjA
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/HFQL2VC/A/moshi-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapt er-4k
Either will work for the second monitor, but personally I would go with the (Digital) HDMI adapter instead of the (Analog) VGA adapter.

  • Will these software packages work with Tiger?

I'm wanting to upgrade my old iMac G4 from Jaguar (10.2.8) to Tiger but have some software I want to continue working after the update, I'm pretty sure everything will be okay, but I'm just wanting to make sure.
These programs came preinstalled on the iMac:
    iPhoto v2.0.1
    iMovies v3.0.3
    iDVD v3.0.1
    AppleWorks 6.2.4 (for OS X)
These programs I have bought myself:
    FinalCut Express v1.0
    Adobe Photoshop Elements v2.0
I also have an old version of Quark Xpress v4.0 that runs in the classic environment, will this still work okay?
    Message was edited by: Izak86

To add to what BDAqua said, all PowerPC Macs running 10.4.11 "have" Classic, but not all have the ability to run it right away. To determine if yours has it, go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Classic.
If there is no Classic panel, then you may not have a PowerPC Mac and will have to use a newer version of Quark that works on Intel Macs.
If there is a Classic panel but no System Folder inside the Classic panel from which to load it, you'll have to restore it or install it depending on the age of the machine.
Macs made from August 2002 to January 2006 on come with their own restore discs to follow these directions to install Classic:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61802
Macs made August 2001 to July 2002 require you use the gray 9 installer disc that shipped with it to install 9 and upgrade to 9.2.2 if necessary from:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75288
    for the best Classic compatibility.
If you are missing the restore discs, call AppleCare:
    http://www.apple.com/contact/phone_contacts.html
Macs made July 2001 and earlier can use the 9.2.1 retail installer disc to install Mac OS 9 and then install 9.2.2 from:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75288
A bare minimum of 9.1 is needed to run Classic.
