Win 7 64-bit unable to recognize and/or install SB X-Fi XtremeMusic

I have just installed Win 7 64-bit. My SB XtremeMusic is not recognized by Win 7 nor am I able to run the driver-package from creative.
It ends with the message: Setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. Please ensure that your product is properly installed before running this Setup program.
What am I doing wrong? Everything else is running perfectly after the installation....

This does not work in every case. Try going to Windows update and check for new updates. Then you should see very simply, Creative X-FI. Download and install this update and reboot. Afterwards, you should be able to download and install the newest Creative drivers through AutoUpdate and the fix for that is available here.

I wanted to re-install my macbook pro by using installation CD (given by apple). But when I tried to restart, unable to restart the computer even I was holding the C key.

There is not much to work with, Suresh.
For all we know it may have never worked, or it may be the wrong grey disk for your MacBook. You have done pretty well to go this long without requiring its use.
Two months ago I would have said buy another disk, the coloured retail 10.6 DVD with the image of the Snow Leopard. They used to be about $30, however finding one is now as difficult as finding a real one in the Himalaya.
If you live in the US, the 10.6 DVD can be ordered over the phone. Other countries… hard to say.
Essentially, I would question the disk,
which implies trying another 10.6.3 DVD that you know works,
or equally, inserting the one you have into another Mac just to see if that other Mac can see it, but not to proceed, just to see if it registers as bootable, using the alt/Option key during the startup phase.

I found the solution after a year of dysfonctionnement
My motherboard was P7P55D from ASUS
operating system Windows 7 64 bits
I have upgraded the BIOS with the lastest BIOS from ASUS ant itworks : My PC recognizes all ipods and also my Tomtom GPS that was also not recognized.
So update your BIOS ... it is risky but it works (or ask a professional to update your BIOS)
and with Itunes 10.5 ou can also synchronize the ipods via WIfi : no USO required (once you've succeeded in connecting ipod to the pC one time)

Portege R500 upgrade to Win 7 64 bit: touchpad scroll lost and no driver

Dear All,
I have upgraded the OS of my portege R500 to WIndows 7 64 bit and had the following problems:
1. At first the touchpad scroll worked fine (with no driver installed) but then it stopped working .... so I looked for a driver but
2. There are no driver for the touchpad (Alps) that is recognized as a PS compatible mouse
BTW uninstall and reinstall did not work, and I have searched a lot through the web but found no solution.
I have downloaded the drivers for VISTA 64bit, is it safe to use?
Any hints appreciated, thanks.

Yes, its safe You can try to install touchpad drivers for Vista in worst case you will get a error message that this driver is not compatible or will not work.
But listen dude there are Win 7 Alps and Synaptics touchpad drivers for Win 7.
The drivers have been released for other notebook series.
Check the Satellite L500 area for example
I found Win 7 64bit drivers:

On Win 7 64 bit Firefox, 15, 16 and 17 beta will not save "Options" settings.

I keep up with MS and Mozilla updates.
I do not remember other significant event which might have caused this problem.
The advice in "http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save" did not help.

Some more testing. Running Ff 17 Win 7.
The initial response to this problem told me to delete the prefs.js files (and some similar) from my Firefox profiles. Having done that I restarted Firefox, updated my start page preference and "save downloads to" option. After a Firefox restart the "start home page" had not been saved but the download save option had.
Looking at preferences saved in my profile prefs.js was empty and prefs_temp.js was full of data. So I started Firefox, updated my "start home page", looked at prefs_temp.js and it contained my updated home page option. I shutdown Firefox, checked that my update was still in prefs_temp.js, copied my prefs_temp.js to prefs.js and resterted Firefox. Square 1, the default home page displayed, not my update.

Can someone provide a link to a client I can install in my windows 7 64 bit that will allow me to access a Oracle 10g and 8i database? I'm using Benthic Goldview.
Please provide some high level installation instructions also.

TS1538 Mine keeps telling me that it not compatible with 32 bit needs 64, uninstall and re install which i have done but still hasnt worked any advise please ??

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

Trying to install and nothing. Download is the same

You might want to try rebooting your phone. (Holding down both the home and power buttons until the Apple logo shows up) If that doesn't work, install any and all updates to your phone. Hopefully it won't have to go to restoring on itunes but that would be what I'd suggest after that if all that still doesn't work.

Unable to scan and install windows updates on Win 2008 R2 server

I've encountered some of my win 2008 servers are unable to scan and receive windows updates from SCCM 2012. Browse through the logs and found some error code related to
0x80244023. Excerpt from the WindowsUpdate and WUAHandler is as below. Searched the net and found some workaround which is to rename the registry key
WinHTTPSettings to WinHTTPSettingsx (by adding x at the end of the string)
under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Internet Settings -> Connections.
I've did just that on the effected servers and after running again the Software Update Scan Cycle action, it is now able to scan and install the updates. My questions is, based on you guys experience, is there any repercussion (apart from enable to install
software updates) that I could encounter in changing the registry key value WinHTTPSettings?

If SCCM is setup correctly and your boundaries are correct then once you deploy updates the agents will pick them up.
Also make sure you SUP role has the FQDN set. Lastly if you are using port 8530 make sure it is open.

i have a problem while i'm trying to setup my iTunes on Windows. iTunes 10.0.4.4 is stuttering at the most of my HD videos (Win 8 64 bit). On VLC and WMP all Videos are playing fine. My 3 years old Macbook PRO with much less computing power plays all my videos smooth. Unfortunately since i have a lot of iTunes stuff and iDevices i have and i wnat to use iTunes also under Windows 8 (64bit). The impossibility to play my movies smooth annoys me

Imovie on my ipad ...refuses to recognize AVCHD Video. Also when i remove video clips already used in a project, it is unable to recognize missing clips after I've put them back. How do I get around these 2 issues?

My iMovie refuses to recognize, import, or work with AVCHD Video. It also refuses the same video clips even after I have converted them to Mp4. Also, when I delete a video clip already used in a project, then later import the same clip back to my ipad, the software is unable to recognize and find the clip again! Help! How do I get around these issues?

I also got the second problem. The storyboard on iMovie trailer has all these missing videos. If I import them on my iPad it doesn't find them.
If you find a solution it would be much appreciated to share it here ... I'll do the same.

TS1424 When I try to watch a rented movie from ITUNES ver 11 on my WIN 7 64 bit PC...the movie starts then after about 30 seconds I receive the following error "Itunes has stopped working"

I downloaded and rented a movie from ITUNES ver 11. I'm able to run the movie but after about 30 seconds I receive an error.
"Itunes has stopped working" A problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Windows offers me to down load ITUNES WIN 7 64 bit, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 64 bit version...no joy... I have run the repair option and still nothing.. Any suggestions???

I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment. Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT. I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.
I'm spending a lot of time of research for WINDOW'S iTUNE with no solutions....
