Win 7 64bit , PremProCS4 patch & Multicam

I am not sure if this is a common issue but I thought I should log it just in case.
I am runing Creative Suite 4 Production Premium on a Wind 7 quad core 64 bit system with 4GB RAM.
While I can four-camera edit in standard definition without problem straight from the installation of the software, the latest patch makes the program hang part way through loading a saved multicam edit.
PP will let me start a project, transfer the synch'd sequence to the multicam sequence and start to do the camera changes without issue and I can save normally.  However when I close the program and come back to it later, it will fail to open that project (but it will open other single timeline projects without issue) and just hangs part way in.
I have now had this happen twice, haveing resinstalled from the disc and then patched to V4.2 something or other twice.(Yes, I can sometimes be a slow learner!)
Each time a resinstall of the software off the DVDs has solved the issue.

Frank,
I never experienced this, so I'm guessing here. Memory would be the first thing I would have a look at (Win7 may have a larger footprint than XP on memory), second have a look at your services http://www.blackviper.com/Windows_7/servicecfg.htm
Then I would check diskspace and pagefile size and location (should be on another drive than OS & programs and be set to at least 8 GB with your current memory), indexing, compression (the latter two should be turned off on all drives). Next thing is your video drivers, are they up-to-date?
If none of this helps, please post a screenshot from Process Explorer and attach DXDIAG.txt. Full instructions can be found in the second included link in this one: Some suggestions

  • PC/Win 64bit/Creative Cloud " We are unable to load all your plans. Please try again" error message

I've just signed up with CC on my Win PC 7/64bit and when I log on to my Adobe account I get this error message, "We are unable to load all your plans & products. Please try again.
Just below it I get the correct:  Creative Cloud Membership/One Year
Any way to solve this error message?

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the generic list of hardware/software/browser problems, but that's a lot to go through for what seems to be a simple problem. Not all of the info listed in your link applies to my problem, so I will provide only the info that is relevent.
    1. See attached photo of Error message found in Chrome Browser.
    2. I do not get the error using the FireFox browser.
    3. My hardware works with CC because I previously had a Cloud account for one year and all the software downloaded and worked perfectly.
    4. My system is Windows 7, 64bit with 12GB of Ram Memory. I have plenty of space on my 1TB C drive
    5. I am able to download CC software, but now when I open up an application (Premiere Pro, to be precise) it says it cannot verify my account.
    6. It appears that the issue isn't my hardware or operating system, but a problem with my online Adobe account which is paid for and listed (as you can see in the screenshot).
Can you help solve the problem?

  • Bin32-wine with srgbtexture patch

    Hey there,
it would nice to have a PKGBUILD for bin32-wine with srg texture patch (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12453)
    S.b. could provide it?
    thanks

I see.......thank you for the response.  I wondered if I had to compile for the chroot or simply use pacman -Syu.  That is indeed a large advantage.
I went ahead and completely wiped bin32-wine, all of the dot files, and reinstalled Office 2007, Starcraft, and Deus Ex.  That fixed a bug in Office (files with space in file path not opening correctly from dolphin/konqueror/etc).
I also discovered that one of my problems with my games was that I somehow missed a few packages related to opengl.  I stll wasn't able to get Deus Ex working just yet.....
I may go ahead and do the chroot, as that seems like an easier way of doing things after the initial setup.
If anyone has anymore input I would be grateful to hear it.

  • Photoshop CS5 Win 64bit, selection/point glitchy?

    Hi guys,
I'm trialing CS5 on 64bit at the moment, just wondering if anyone has had experience, where when using the selection tool, or move tool or any tool where you need to select or draw out something, I am regularly getting a glitch where where I selected/where the mouse point should be moves like magic 100+ pixels off (in random direction) where it should be. It like shifts off on its own?
Never had this issue in previous photoshops etc.
    Not sure what's causing this.
    Any help would be great

Someone reported a similar problem due to Windows tablet functions being enabled (it was trying to recognize some gesture).
And I've seen similar problems due to a bug in a third party plugin before (it just plain messed up mouse input in Photoshop).

  • For CF Server 9 developer win 64bit has the same running problems like 32bit, or more

    CFWACK8 reader:
Better install CF Server stand alone - so no need  Apache? For CF Server 9 developer windows 64bit has the same running  problems like 32bit, or more?
I have installed  http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html ..WAMPP, well Mysql  may used by this CF Server 9 developer, although book use Apache Derby  embedded to cf server?
CFEclipse plugin may installed either in my (separate) Flash Builder 4 or Eclipse Helios, or only to latter?

CF 9 64-bit will generally be your best choice on a 64-bit platform, unless you specifically require something that's not available in 64-bit, like COM.
For development, the built-in web server is fine. But if you want to learn how to manage a web server, it's good to install Apache and configure CF to use that.
You may use any SQL engine for which there are JDBC drivers, including MySQL. Apache Derby is used for demos, etc, because it's bundled with CF. You don't want to use it for real projects, though.
You can install CF Builder in any modern Eclipse, including Helios or Flash Builder. This is largely a matter of personal preference. I've encountered some features that don't work properly unless you let CF Builder install its own bundled Eclipse, but these are features that I don't use much anyway.

However, unlike the few dozen other threads also including "Unhandled page fault on read access", I don't have any other errors to work with, and my backtrace is 23 lines instead of the usual 2-3. I've tried 'pacman -Ss'  for various libraries and drivers like in the other threads, but there doesn't appear to be anything I'm missing. Also, the game isn't in the appdb, so I can't look there for help.
I'm figuratively flying blind, from newbiness and from lack of understandable, so any more experience with random failures like this would be appreciated.
    Help?
Edit: Oh, and if you're wondering why I don't just compile from source, it's because that version always crashes halfway through the game; I'll be copying my saves from that version to this one if I get it running.

You'd better choose to build it from the AUR with makepkg and install it with pacman:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AU … Guidelines
But nice that you could now play with it.
Concerning Wine: I didn't see this game in the WineHQ - Wine Application Database
Maybe it doesn't work with Wine.

  • Need Spacebar FIX for Win & 64BIT

    Hello:
The spacebar will not work as a move tool on my computer.
I tried closing my browser. Someone kindly posted a fix but it is only for 32bit.
Does anyone at all know of a fix for a 64bit system?
I'm desperate to fix this problem.
    Thank You,
    Murph

Yes, it is a shame. I am on hold with Microsoft right now. I can hardly understand his accent but I think he caught the gist of what I was saying.
As long as they get their money from us they're fine. Same "stuff" as every other industry on the planet.
Well indeed I received the blame game from both Adobe & Microsoft. So sad. After a nauseating phone call w/Micro they just told me to call the manufacturer of my computer.
Off to fetch a mouse. I'll bb to luk if the mouse works. Fingers totally crossed b/c Ps will be useless to me otherwise.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance.

  • Win 64bit Lightroom 4.3 Crashes alot

I am having houly LR 4.3 crashes (usually in develop mode) in Windows 7 64bit (using 64bit version of LR).  I can't pinpoint why it crashes, but just that it does...alot, and I am always in Develop mode, usually just clicking around, not when I use a specific tool.
Before I "down" grade to 4.2 does anyone have any other suggestions?
    Thanks
    Jason

What do you mean by "crashing"?
Do you get an error message that "Lightroom has stopped working"?  In this case you have a crash and probably should re-install Lr.
Or does Lr just become unresponsive? In this case wait a while until Lr becomes responsive again. "Just clicking a raound" can actually cause that your systems resources to max out because with each click Lr will have to do something, and will be unresponsive for a while until it has caught up with your clicks.
Naturally, it depends a lot on your system.
Here are the system requirements for Windows:
    System requirements
    Windows
    Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon® 64 processor

  • Cmd biee service windows left only one after win. cumulative security patch

Customer (3-5456748787) reported that the cmd obiee service windows left only one (instead of the usual two) after applying window cumulative security patches.
No change was made to the shortcut Start BI Services and they like to find out why they are getting one cmd window now.
Customer installed the 11115 environment using Simple Install option.
Everything else is working fine as normal. Any idea why and what caused the cmd window to disappear?
I can't find vcap image for 11115 Simple Install option. Anyone has one environment that I can verify this?
    Thanks
    Teik

    Hi Teik,
I could not check this as I do not have any environment at the moment, but I think this is due to the changes in the 11.1.1.5 installation modes.
If I am right, the "Start BI Services" through the windows start menu, starts the BI weblogic servers and then the opmn and the nqserver processes. In 11.1.1.5 Simple mode, there is only one weblogic server (Admin Server) and there is only one command window.
I am sorry if I got this wrong.
    Hope this helps.
    Thank you,
    Dhar

  • Lightroom 2.3 stops responding with keyword reorg (win 64bit - Vista)

I am trying to re-organise my keywords - making them more heirarchical, and renaming some to keep things tidy. In doing this I'm constantly getting LR2.3 stop responding.
    Some background info:
Now I have a fair few images in my current catalog - 40,000 (approx), which is stored on a dedicated WD raptor drive - which is the fastest drive I have. My CR2 raw files are split between my local disk (images being worked on), and a NAS device (older images). The Catalog is 1.3MB in size.
I would consider the quantity of images in my catalog and my setup to be something resembling that of a standard professional configuration, and I would have hoped that by version 2.3, the Lightroom code would have been better optimised to deal with the handling of large quantity metadata updates. I can only presume that Adobe have a lot more functional design and code optimisation on their to-do list for future revisions of LR - at least I'm desperately hoping so! The problem appears to be this:
In my keyword heirarchy, if I rename a top level keyword to something new, then it has to amend all image records in the database (catalog) - most of the 40,000 in my case, and I appreciate that this takes time to do. What LR doesn't do whilst these updates are taking place, is give any user feedback - it simply seems to stop functioning until it's ready to hand back user control to the operating system. The thing is, as you haven't got a clue what's going on, you just assume that the application has crashed - and for all I know it may have as all I see if I try to interact with lightroom during the hang is my task bar reporting that the application is "(not responding)". Looking at the Resource Monitor in Vista there seems to be a large network load during the time of the hanging - now I can't understand this as LR should simply be updating the records in the catalog which is on a local drive, and not having a need to access my raw files, many of which are on a network drive. If this is the cause of the slow down then it shows that there is a desperate need for revision of the functionality of Metadata updates within LR.
I'm just hoping that Adobe take stock and for future revisions of LR, concentrate on performance issues, and amending of functionality or code structure to better tune the handling of data, rather than just adding more tools and functionality to the release which slows the app even further. I'm just hoping that LR will fulfil my needs at a professional level at some point in the near future as this app is core to the running of my business - and at the moment it's having an impact on my ability to do exactly that!
Anyone else with performance issues like this?
    Thanks, Paul A

This has nothing to do with network access. I have been running the Winessentials Process Monitor app to try to figure out what's going on and I firmly believe this to be an issue with the Lightroom code. Once LR stops responding, the Lightroom process seems to go into an endless loop consuming memory on each iteration (I.e. a memory leak). Process Explorer shows every file handle and (as the directory of images I am displaying holds locally stored images only) none of the file handles are for network based files - all local files. This is what it's using in a nutshell:
The catalog file (2 handles on this)
    The Catalog journal file
the thubnail cache (2 handles on this)
a whole load of internet explorer data files inc: history.ie5\index.dat; cookies\index.dat; Content.ie5\index.dat (no idea why it requires IE data access)
    a couple of truetype fonts
a few temporary files in the user temp folder
    loads of windows device files
access to the C:\Program FilesCommon Files\Adobe\Adobe Version Cue CS4\Client\4.0.1 directory (even though I don't have version cue installed to my knowledge! - certainly no service running for this)
Private Bytes is now sitting at 1.9GB (RAM being used by LR) and its continually on the up.
During the hang, LR is trying to spawn a new thread and Process Explorer is reporting this as "Thread Lightroom.exe (6008): 6040" then moments later <Error Opening Thread>, then it loops, each time more memory is taken up.
Since updating this message the memory usage by LR is now at 2GB!
This has completely stopped responding now!
**UPDATE** After an hour of being non-responsive, LR burst back to life. I just amended one of the keyword tag options again (this tag matches against 21,000 images), removing the 'export with keywords' option, clicked OK and it's stopped responding again!

  • LR4 Beta Win 64bit zip file is corrupted.

    I can't unzip the file "lightroom4_p1_win64_011012.zip" downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?event=custom&loc=EN_US&sku=FS0002598&e= labs_lightroom4
I tried three unpacking software but every print the error like corrupted archive.
    For expample:
...\lightroom4_p1_win64_011012.zip: CRC failed in setup.exe. The file is corrupt
    Or:
    0x80004005

I am having trouble getting this file too at its full size, while I can download similarly large files elsewhere OK. Firefox errors every time after a bit with this message:
C:\Users\ssanders\Desktop\lightroom4_p1_win64_011012.zip could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.
But there are plenty of torrent sites hosting lightroom4_p1_win64_011012.zip, so looks like I must take that route instead for now.
