Win 7 and HP DesignJet 2500CP Printer

Hi all.
I just installed Win 7. Everything on my PC is working well except the DesignJet 2500CP.
And I tried Win XP and Vista driver (on the HP Support & Driver downloaded). It doesn't work...
Please help me... I have lot of design have to print in this week... please.

I've actually figured out a way around this!
This works for Windows 7 32/64 bit and Vista 32/64 bit.
If you install a new printer via the control panel and select a driver from the printer driver list included with Windows (an update may be required), install the driver for the Designjet 1050C by HP.
This allows you to print perfectly on a Designjet 2500 on new operating systems as it has the same printing dimensions and printing process. The computer will list you as having a 1050C and not a 2500, but it doesn't really matter as long as it works.
This took me a while to get right as I went through all the HP plotter drivers in an attempt to get my 2500 to work.
So in short, you don't need the 2500 driver, just install the driver for the 1050C (which is a much new printer and still supported) and it will work perfectly. Hope this helps.

in the iPhoto preferences change the print products country to the UK and give it a try - there may be some restirctions on billing but it has worked for some people

Just upgraded to Win 8.1: PSE 11 now will not let me change the paper size and type in the print properties.

I have just upgraded to windows 8.1 but my photoshop elements 11 now will not let me change the paper size and type in the print properties. Also some of the property popup boxes just flash on the screen but do not stay displayed!

The D7100 requires Camera Raw 6.5 which is compatible with CS5.
In CS5, click Help > Updates to update Camera Raw to 6.7 and you'll be able to open and edit Raw D7100 NEF files.

CS6 won't print to my HP DesignJet Z3200 printer

When I select this printer for output, all seems fine: When I click the Print Settings button in the CS6 print dialog window, I am taken to the HP driver and can make all my selections. But when I come back to the CS6 print dialog window and click Print -- the dialog window closes and nothing goes to the printer.
I can print to my color laser as expected.
System: Win XP SP3
HP DesignJet Z3200 44in Photo (non-Postscript version)
HP driver version 61.83.41.0
One unusual thing about this printer: The driver has a preview function. When I print from Photoshop CS2 (and all other apps), sending a file to the printer launches the preview application. The image is displayed on screen, giving me a final chance to approve or reject it. When I print from CS6, the preview application doesn't launch.
My workaround is to save the file and print it from Photoshop CS2.
I have not checked if the problem goes away if I disable the preview function. Nor have I traced a print job to see when it shows up in the spooler, when the preview application launches -- and if those answers change with CS6. Let me know if you need more information.

Suddenly unable to print from Win XP PCs to Time Capsule printer

I have a Canon MP610 printer attached to my early 2009 (dual radio) Time Capsule that worked perfectly on my home LAN until a few weeks ago. Macbook Air and two Win XP PCs could print over the LAN. Suddenly LAN printing for the two Win PCs stopped working - but continues to work fine for the Macbook. The Win problem exists via wired and wifi connections. When I plug the printer directly into either PC's USB port, printing works perfectly. I have set up separate printer names for direct and LAN connections.
The printer is visible to Bonjour. I re-installed Bonjour on one PC and tested using the printer name that it set up, verified that Norton firewall has USB port 5353 open, even disabled the firewall completely. Any print job sent from the PCs simply fails - the printer never gives any indication that it's receiving data.
The only change to the Win systems since before I had this problem have been periodic auto-updates with Windows patches, and updated Safari.
The fact that multiple Windows systems but not the Mac are having problems made me suspect Bonjour, but it can see the printer. If anyone has a clue what might be wrong, let me know.

I was able to solve my printing problem using the instructions at the iFelix site http://tech.ifelix.net/1004.html. The problem was solved after I replaced the printer name with the IP address of my Time Capsule (10.0.1.1) for the existing port that the printer was connected to (instead of creating a new port, I selected the existing port that my printer was connected to and clicked Configure Port). After saving, the next time that I tried to print it worked.

OfficeJet 4315 no longer works after Win 7 and Office 2010 service packs applied

I've used OfficeJet 4315 on a Toshiba Satellite with WinXP (SP3) and Office 2003 and been delighted with the printer. I recently migrated to a brand-new Acer Aspire with Win 7 and Office 2010 (home & student ed.) At first, the 4315 worked well--in fact, all I had to do was plug in the USB connection and the in-OS drivers installed automatically. However, something has now caused the printer too be essentially useless! I think it happened after I applied SP1 to Win 7 and/or the service pack to Office 2010. I can no longer print Word files (.doc or .docx), Excel spread sheets (.xls or .xlsx), PDFs, Web pages, or even e-mails, The only things I can print are .txt files or equivalent and .jpg files or equivalent. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the printer (including deleting the drivers and reloading them from Windows Update). I don't believe I should have to replace a perfectly good printer just to support Windows 7 and Office 2010. I NEED HELP URGENTLY with this problem! If anyone has any knowledge or ideas, I'd be forever in your debt. (HP, I'd even pay to get the help I need on this one!!) TIA.

Based on your description, my understanding is that the PDF files cannot be checked out to local drafts folder after Office 2013 is installed.
Did this issue occur with Office files?
I recommend to check if the Office files can be checked out to local drafts folder with Office 2013.
And it is recommended to use Office 2010 with SharePoint 2010 for best practice.

Officejet pro 8000 and HP Home & Biz print app

I have an Officejet Pro 8000 wireless that, according to HP's list, is compatible with the HP Home & Biz print app for the iPad 2. However, the app does not find any printers on the wifi network. I am running Win 7 and the printer is shared and works fine with printing wirelessly from the computer. I followed the steps in the app to auto find any printer connected to the wifi, but it does not find anything at all. The way I understand the app, it allows non-eprint capable printers to print using the app. Am I missing something?

As you have mentioned the printer is shared from Windows 7, is the printer connected to the PC by USB?
In order to use the HP ePrint Home & Biz, the printer must be connected to your router by ethernet cable and then the up should detect it.
Please make sure both the iPad and the printer connected to your network.
Follow the steps below to access the printer EWS page:

Once locating the printer IP address, type it into Safari.

How do I install an HP Designjet 130 printer on a Mac running OSX Maverick?

I am a new Apple user. I have an HP Designjet printer which I formerly used on a Windows machine. I would like to install it on my new Macbook. Any help would be appreciated.

The first thing to do you need to go to HP's web site and see if there are any driver updates for your printer for Mac. If you computer is running plug in your printer and go to System Preferences and choose Printer and and see if your printer is recognized and choose your printer as default printer and see if it works.

LaserJet 1015 on Win 7 (32-bit) won't print double-sided

I was always able to print double sided on XP without any problem. But after I got a new PC with Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit (with driver from win 7 itself), it would no print double-sided anymore, even though I checked the option for it in the printer option dialog box. Even the on screen reminder to instruct you to take out the papers and re-enter them for printing the other side doesn’t appear anymore. The manual double sided printing' checkbox in the driver dialog is now totally useless. Please help.

Have the same problem with a LaserJet 1150... did manual double-sided printing fine in Windows XP, but when the computer was upgraded to Win7 64-bit, it prints single-sided every time, even when you select the options for double-sided, and the Continue button does not appear. Has anyone found a fix for this? I've tried all sorts of configurations in the driver properties/preferences.

How to print two different sizes of images on Designjet Z300 printer

I have a Designjet Z3200PS printer and want to know how to make a print using two images that fills up the full width of my 24" wide roll of paper. I'm trying to make each print so I can cut them to match the sizes of a bunch of picture frames that I have. The frames need prints that are 16 wide x 9.9 inches high. The other size needs to be 8" wide x 9.9 inches high. For some reason when I put the two pictures into a collage maker the picture that is to be 16" wide ends up being 14.5 and the one that needs to be 8" wide ends up being 10.5" wide. What do I need to make prints the size I'm needing? What am I doing wrong? What software should I use. I've been using the online picnik collage maker sight and it's not allowing the proportions that I need. You can help me out a bunch by steering me in the right direction. First make sure what you create in photoshop is already vector. The plotter knife can not use images (raster).
This gives you a few options some of which requires illustrator or corel draw.
Illustrator and corel draw can auto trace raster images
Illustrator can save files as corel draw
Corel draw can read illustrator files
In both cases The newest version wins since the older version would not know about the newer version (illustrator vs corel draw)
Photoshop can export illustrator paths (The illustrator file needs to be edited in illustrator or corel draw as the paths do not have a stroke or fill)
photoshop can export a vector pdf (assuming everything in the file is vector)
Both illustrator and corel draw can read and write pdf files.
If your design is raster you might be able to use the pen tool and manually trace the image in photoshop, illustrator or corel draw. (depending on the complexity of the image.)

Win 7 and J6480 wireless

I have the officejet J6480 set up wireless through a linksys router. I got a new HP laptop yesterday and finally got the printer installed on it by using windows update and in the printer folder, add printer, local port, standard TCP/IP port, select IP address of the J6480, then clicked on windows update, the list repopulated and I selected the officejet J6400 series and completed installation. I was able to print wirelessly from the laptop at that point. However today when I booted the laptop up I can not print. The printer is selected as the default printer but when I tell it to print the status says that it is offline. Any ideas how to remedy this?

hp says on there web site there will be a win 7 driver for the j6480 in late Jan of 2010 . I am having the same problem with win7 , linksys wireless router a new hp laptop and the j6480 . I guess we (and a lot of other folks ) will just have to wait till HP gets off its lazy butt and gets this driver out to us .

Designjet 130 printer with Epson paper?

Anyone tried printing with a Designjet 130 printer on Epson paper stock? The reason I ask is I'm considering replacing my Epson 4000 with a Designjet 130r and still have a lot of Epson paper stock on hand. I guess I'd be on my own as far as developing the ICC profiles for the various paper types. Money is tight and I hate to waste the paper, on the other hand I don't want to spend any more money on ink for the 4000, most of which ends up in the maintenance tank due to constant pen clogs and cleaning cycles.

HP Designjet T520 Printing A3 cuts off at bottom

HP Designjet T520 Printing A3 cuts off at bottom When we plot something with AutoCad, and then print Portrait, it all prints fine except the bottom edge is slightly cut off. The paper we are using is A3, and the printer and Autocad settings is A3. Any ideas? WINDOWS 7 - NO ERROR MESSAGES

This very same issue is affecting me with T520.This happens with vertical A4 and A3, and till now I've not yet found a solution. To be sure to be within printer margins I've set the drawing actual margins on all the four sides to be 1.8 cm from paper sheets borders.But as alway I get the bottom border cut, while the upper border seems shifted downward and it's placed at 3,0 cm from the upper border of the paper. BUTif I set the page to be ORIZONTAL in the application, choose the orizontal page format etc the printout is perfectly aligned. To me this seems a weird issue.Experienced this issue using Archicad 16, Illustrator and Indisign. On OSX, from Snow Leopard to Mavericks.
