Win 7 / FF 13 - Flash 11.3.300.257 doesn't work

OS: Win 7 64bit
Browser: Firefox 13
Flash Player: 11.3.300.257
Since updating to the above Flash Player version, flash isn't working anymore, which simply means, nothing related to flash is working if using Firefox. Flash is still working with Chrome and IE 9.
Flash 11.3.300.257 is also working with Win XP / Firefox 13.
I've deinstalled and reinstalled twice, but it didn't help. As far as I can see there are other people having trouble with this lastest Flash version in Firefox.
Is it possible to get the previous Flash Player version which was running with Win 7 64bit / Firefox 13? Would be great because I guess it'll take a while until this problem gets solved.

This issue is caused by an incompatibility between Flash Player on Firefox and the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin for Firefox.  Disabling the RealPlayer plug-in will resolve the issue for you.
There's more detail over in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4486789#4486789
To disable the Real Player Browser Record functionality while maintaining the enhanced security provided by Flash Player with Protected Mode, do the following:
    Exit Firefox
    Launch RealPlayer
Click the RealPlayer icon in the upper-left corner of the window, and choose Preferences
Choose Download & Recording from the left-hand menu
Uncheck "Enable Web Download & Recording for these installed browser"
    Click OK

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 isn't working properly.

Hi! Ever since I updated my flash player I haven't been able to use anything that uses flash. It just keeps crashing every few pages and lagging. The browser I use is Firefox and my PC is a Windows 7. I was wondering if it's happening to others too and if you're working on fixing it? Or should I just try to download the older version instead?

I'm sorry you are running into this problem with Firefox.  If Flash content is causing your browser to crash, at this time I'd recommend reverting back to a previous version.  We are hard at work on solving this problem, but we do not have a fix available yet.
How do I revert to a previous version of Flash Player?

  • FLASH 11.3.300.268 won't work without Chrome

There seems to be an issue with those who do not use Chrome trying to access FLASH from a location without using Chrome directly. It appears that if you choose to upload Chrome with FLASH on the Adobe page, FLASH is embedded in Chrome. It doesn't even show as loaded on my computer when I do an Adobe search for it using their upload problems tool. It does however show as there when one does an actual upload, which fails because of this.   When I activate and use Chrome, FLASH works as normal.  I can't uninstall FLASH because it is not seen by Adobe's scan.  It might if I uninstalled Chrome.  I would like not to use Chrome when using FLASH.  Is there some way of doing this without restarting the upload process afer unistalling both progrrams?

I agree.   In the interim, the short term way of getting back to work is to use Chrome in which FLASH will work.
ShutterStock requires the latest version of FLASH to upload microstock.  They appear oblivious to the issue, suggesting the problem has to do with my PC.
Adobe should get with the progrm and understand that if you create dependency, responsibil;ities to partners and users go with this.

  • Adobe Flash 11.3.300.257 Install issue with SCCM

    Hello,
I've been using SCCM (Currently 2007 R3) to install Flash at my orginization for several years.  Always setup the same way and always worked.  Until now.
I create a distribution, set the install to be `msiexec /i install_flash_player_11_active_x_32bit.msi /qn`, create an advertisement, assign it to a collection, and wait.
On my two test boxes (One Windows 7 fully patches and one Windows XP fully patched) I get the same error.
Windows Installer per-user elevation of this program ("010004B5" - "Install Flash") failed for advertisement "01022398".This program was started. Please check the status of this program to determine whether or not it was completed sucessfully Possible causes: The version of Windows Installer on the computer is less than version 2.0, or the setup program does not support Windows Installer per-user elevated rights installations. Possible solutions: Update the version of Windows Installer on the computer to version 2.0 or later, or contact the software vendor that supplied the install program to determine if a version of setup that supports per-user elevated rights is available.
The program does not run and Flash is not installed.
I know windows installer is fine so It has to be the msi.
    Anybody else having this issue?
    Thanks,
    -eddy

    Hi Cris,
    I modified my install to be `msiexec /i install_flash_player_11_active_x_32bit.msi /qn /L+* "C:\foo\flash.log"` and gave it another run.
The good news is that it made the flash.log.  The bad news is that it is empty.  I'm going to try again with the x and v extra logging.
    I'll let you know.
    Thanks,
    -eddy

  • Adobe Flash Player installed, but content doesn't work

Adobe Flash Player works after I install it, but then
evenually it stops working. I have tried lots of support methods,
including downloading Microsoft's tool to fix permission errors. I
    am using
Windows Vista Home Premium and the latest version of
    Adobe Flash Player.
I noticed somewhere that there was an old thread like this
with someone having the same problem. I saw that someone who
replied showed a screenshot of what the permissions for
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT should look like. Interestingly, they
    don't appear to match.
    Here is the screenshot:

Please help me fix this problem. Without
Adobe Flash Player, I can't do numerous things, such as
    watch videos on
    YouTube.

I have solved the problem, thanks to this post:

  • Flash installs successfully but still doesn't work

I'm getting very agitated at my cpu. I go to a site that
requires flash. I'm directed to adobe to install it. Installation
is successful...always. I have tried closing my browser and
reopening and it still says I need to install flash to view that
site. I can go back to Adobe, install it again, reboot my cpu and
it still tells me the same thing. I have done all of the
troubleshooting tips and nothing helps. The only thing I can think
is that I have the latest version of Windows Internet Explorer 7
installed and maybe Flash isn't synced with it yet. Is there anyone
else out there with this type of problem?

I found another forum that seems to have a solution.
    http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6620_102-0.html?forumID=14&threadID=213694&start=15
These guys have Firefox installed and manually moved the
plugin and then click on it to run it for IE7. I wasn't quite ready
to install Firefox to get IE working... unless that's Mr. Gate's
suggestion. In any case, it's worth reading. Basically, IE7 with
Flash 8 or 9 can be problematic.

  • I have problem with Flash Player. Full screen doesn't work correctly. Turning off hardware acelleration helps but I want this option to work.

Problem exist only on YouTube. When i want get full screen, I have black screen with audio. If I click few times full screen button it helps, but I want to go to full screen by one click.
If i turn off hardware acceleration everything is ok but vids looks terrible.
I have this problem with Flash Player 10. No 9 works good, but some websites wants no. 10

Generaly FP works, but problem is that i must press few times full screen button. Now i have turn off hardware accelleration, but movies are quite bad.
I have already installed newest graphic drivers but it didn't help.
Everything was good unless Flash Player and Mozilla notificated that update is necessary :<

  • Flash sort of installs but doesn't work

It seems to install it shows the ocx file in my flash folder
and the plugin in the browser but will not open flash movies or
flash content.. I know for a fact it's my flash because no flash
items will show up, the test page also is a no show. I have tried
version 7, 8, and 9 and neither work for me. I'm using IE6 because
7 didn't work for me when clicking on links in my Outlook Express,
which I also tried microsoft newsgroups with no help. I also did
various of suggested fixes they sent me.
I have turned off (disabled) what plugins I had running and
tried running IE for several hours, used the uninstaller for flash
and tried to download again and still nothing. Does anyone else
have any suggestions? This is really upsetting me because I can't
login to some forums I'm in.

Try searching your registry for Flash9.ocx to make sure it
    registered right.
    Check for:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A}\InprocServer32
    (Default) C:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flash\
    Flash9.ocx
    ThreadingModel Apartment
If yours says Flash7.ocx or some other number, the installer
    didn't update your registry properly.

    Hi feklee,
I see that you also posted this question on the '''dev-b2g''' mailing list:
    * [https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.b2g/mNQbli_8O3o]
That is the best place for this question, since the list is seen by hundreds of developers that are familiar with the b2g project.
In the meantime, the new base image v18D is currently being tested and should be made available in a not-so-distant future.

  • Adobe flash 11.4.402.265 doesn't work for me either. Anyone else having a problem?

I installed the latest update and once again this version is not working for me either. I again had to go back to 10.3 Is it okay for me to just stay with 10.3 indefinately?

If neither the 11.4 not working then it is recommended to install 10.3 (see : [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-crashes#w_step-2-install-flash-10-3 Install Flash 10.3]), if you want to test another option to go back to 11.4 and try to [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems#w_turn-off-hardware-acceleration Turn off hardware acceleration] and "disable the hardware acceleration" in the Flash Player too :

Hello,  Open your browser in FF and use the Adobe Uninstaller from here:

  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled flash player successfully, but it doesn't work

After being told that I didn't have flash player since the recent update, I have tried many times to successfully update.  Even after I was able to successfully update, after restarting my computer I am still told that I do not have flash player installed.  HELP!

    PDuroni wrote:
Windows 7, Internet Explorer 11.  Is this not a common thing?
    With WIndows 8? Epidemic.
With WIndows 7? Not so common, but I'm seeing more and more of it.
    Here's the trouble:  "User-Agent Strings"
That doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure, but it's the root of your problems, and Flash Player has nothing to do with it.
Microsoft "rewrote" the User-Agent Strings for the abomination they call their latest and greatest browser. User-Agent Strings are what websites use to identify the browser you're using and provide the proper content for it's browser engine, like ActiveX stuff, and Flash or HTML5 video. Thanks to the geniuses in Redmond, WA, the User-Agent Strings for IE11 (which has a Trident engine), ID it as either "Gecko" (Firefox) or "Webkit" (Chrome). Problem is: when the site the directs to the content for one of these two engines, the Trident engine in IE can't intepret it and the site then sees IE as an "unidentified" browser.
The problem with an unidentified browser is that the plug-ins in that browser aren't recognized either, so even though you're up to date, it says you need the latest Flash Player when you use IE11. YouTube... has converted to HTML5 video so if it doesn't detect Flash Player, it can display HTML5 (MP4) video which requires no plug-in to play. Facebook can't do that, because HTML5 doesn't apply to games... only video.
Microsoft has no plans to "fix" the mess thay've created because they think it's a great idea to block you out of the websites you visit.
They recommend using "Compatibility View" and pretending that you're using an older verison of IE... Problem with that is that it's seen limited success, and you have to enable it for EVERY page that has problems... individually.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
